A vivid depiction of one of the 20th century's most successful businessmen, Mrs. Ingram's biography of her late husband is more than a testimony to all the things that made him a great man--it is a gift to associates, friends, and family members who will remember Bronson Ingram and reap the rewards of his efforts for many years to come.
Martha Ingram writes a good book. I live forward to her book about forming the Tennessee Performing Arts Commission. She does a great job laying out the history of the Ingram fortune. They are such big players in the world of Tennessee, a business person needs to know where they are coming from.
From the start in timber, to a fortune in oil derived with Koch family, to the world largest barge company, to a brother sentenced for bribes, to a fortune in books and computer software. The family history is quite entertaining.
