4 books5 followersMaureen Richmond is a literary scholar, a counseling astrologer, and a lifelong student of metaphysics and spirituality.
Born December 8, 1951, Richmond is a Sagittarian. True to the ever-seeking Sagittarian archetype, Richmond has studied a broad range of esoteric and metaphysical teachings, including astrology, eastern and western spiritualities, ancient mystery teachings, and natural healing.
Within the field of astrology, Richmond specializes in the history of astrology, the astrology of world trends and events, individual astrology, and the teaching of astrology.
Additionally, she is a scholar and writer in the academic context. Richmond holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Professional Writing, a Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing, a Master of Arts in Heritage Studies, and in 2022 will complete a Ph.D. in Heritage Studies, a multidisciplinary field exploring the traditions by which people live. Richmond's doctoral dissertation is titled "Writing Mississippi Delta Heritage: The Literary Creation of Place." It explores the works of more than 100 novelists of the Mississippi Delta region and the ways in which the themes and contents of these regionalist novels have contributed to the sense of place.
Richmond is also an avid amateur photographer with a particular interest in the photographing of structures and locations of historic value.
