He has the fame but she has the fortune…
The only word to accurately describe Ryder Scott’s life is charmed. A superstar on all counts, he gets everything he wants with a wink, a smile and a promise he never plans on fulfilling. With his sights set on having the movie he wrote produced, he takes the easy road and secures funding from the underbelly of society. The only issue is he used the money for other necessities including designer clothes and sports cars. Out of cash, he’s in trouble.
Cold, calculated and conniving, Cora Caine is one of the youngest female Internet billionaires in history. Her success stems from hard work and a will of steel. Now she’s up for the position of CEO of Ultracom, but in order to earn her place, she must learn to be likable. Whoever said business was nice?
When Ryder thrusts himself into Cora’s perfectly planned life and promises to help her get her dream job all for the small fee of paying for his movie, the offer seems made in negotiation heaven. She never considered he might be risking her life as well as her checkbook to his benefit.
However, when their hearts enter their business deal, they find there may be things in life more important than being Idolized.
Idolized is the third and final book in the Hollywood Stardust series. Each book is stand alone with their own central couple and no cliffhangers.

Recommend, but I must vent.

I read and enjoyed the first two books in this series very much. There were a few minor editing errors, but nothing too major or distracting. Well. I don't know what happened when it came to this final book of the trilogy. Maybe there was a rush to finish it, or maybe the author was just sick of these people by book 3, but the poor editing would have made quit if I had not already devoted the time into the first two books. I have to say it did seem to improve quite a lot as the book went on. This is definitely the weakest of the bunch, but by the middle I didn't find the lead quite as despicable, and did ultimately enjoy the book.
So, I recommend the series, but urge the author or someone to take a look at the early part of the book for correction. One last thing... in both books 2 and 3, there was talk about picking someone's predecessor, I'm quite sure that can't be done... I believe they were picking their successor.... perhaps I'm wrong about this and an argument could be made due to ages of the characters. All I know is I spent far too much time wondering if it could maybe be right, but convinced it was not, many pages later. Once I would get over it, it would come up again!

**No Spoilers****
What I love so much is that each book in this series goes together, But they are each their own stand-alone book. Each book in this series has a end. But at the same time you get to learn more about these characters.
In this book, we hear about Ryder Scott, He's had a very charmed life, he always gets what he wants. However what he wants is Money and he has his eyes set on Cora Caine. Cora is beyond rich, 1 of the youngest billionaires in history.
well, in steps Ryder all to willing to help Cora become CEO of Ultracon. Is he really there to help or is he going to take her down with him.
These 3 books were fantastic. I am so glad I got a chance to read them & discover Kim Carmichael.

This was supposed to be a standalone, but perhaps I would have liked it better and understood more with reading the first novels before. The book didn't start with the purpose of it. I was confused through the first chapter on what the book was about and had to reread the book description. I had issues with why Ryder suddenly latched to Cora and she was ok with it. I also didn't understand how chapter 1 ended with Cora walking out on Ryder then suddenly they were together in a sexual situation immediately in chapter 2. For me, the book needs to make me like the characters instantly. I had difficulty with the seediness of the hero and the standoffish heroine. The book seems to bounce around a lot, without much congruity and the injection of what can be assumed to be movie script from Ryder's film popped in. That really drew me out of the story. Maybe this book just had a slow start, but 4 chapters in and I didn't like either character or the jumping around in the story line. So, I stopped reading it, which is why I gave this book 3 stars.

Ryder Scott has had charmed life. He dreams of finishing his movie but he made a deal with the devil. The devil has come calling for his due and thensome. Yet Ryder holds him off for the time being. Cora Caine is considered the ultimate ice queen and soulless. Yet Cora is neither of those things as proved by her interaction with Ryder Scott. Cora is after a major promotion at work and needs to be seen as human. Enter Ryder Scott, he can make her appear human which also gives him the status he needs as well. What neither of them count on is them falling in love. It appears that Ryder's secrets are catching up with him. Will Cora get the promotion? What are Ryder's secrets? Your answers await you in Idolized.

The conclusion to this trilogy was nicely done. But I'll admit that the script for the movie in the book drove me insane in this book. For whatever reason I just hated the interruption it created during the read. I didn't have this problem with the other two books in this series. I guess I'll chalk it up to a fluke this time. The characters and story were rich, bold, real, honest, complex, and intriguing. I look forward to more from this author in the future.
