Imperial Draka #1

Dragon Twins Bride

Rate this book
Gahariet and Olivier never expected to find their fated mate in an auction house.

Phuong might be an orphan who doesn’t know where she came from, but she’s not a pushover. She's feisty. Sure, the two dragon princes who rescued her from the auction house might be hotter than dragon fire, but they aren’t part of her plan. She was supposed to steal one last thing, some rare Illinium, to set her up for life and disappear, not live in a castle with two high-profile Draka princes who are always in the public eye, which is the last thing she wants.

She knows she should leave and go underground, but can she fight her heart’s desires?

I have read several of Alyse Zaftig’s “Bad Boy” books, but have never read any of her shifter books, and this is the first I have read of Eva Wilder. The reason I gave this book 4 stars is because it is said to be a standalone book, and I just don’t see how, because nothing was ever done about Marc and his brother Lucien. Plus, the ending of the book was just okay, nothing spectacular. It seemed to jump from them convincing her they love her, and right to her having the babies. But what happened in between that time? Holes were left in the ending to me. Otherwise it was an AWESOME book. The characters worked with the story line and there was lots of excitement. At first you want to feel sorry for Phuong and brother, Xuan are living in a hole in a fish aquarium. Then you want to feel sorry for the twin princes, Gahariet and Olivier, because of the way Phuong is treating them and they are desperately trying to find out about her background, and trying to find her brother. It held my attention all the way to the ending. The ending is what I had a problem with. It is a good book and recommended for mature readers 18 years of age or older. I don’t think you will be disappointed in reading this book.

Phoung and her brother Xuan are orphans of the planet Yore and they have run away from the orphanage and are living on a day to day basis. They eat when they can get food or money for food. Then with her brother pushing her to help with one more theft. Phoung is weary of stealing from Marc’s Alreach Auction House, but Xuan convinces her that they will be in and out before you know it. They are to steal some rare Illinium that will set the two of them up for life. Phoung is caught by falling in a trap. She tells Xuan that if he doesn’t save himself then she would never forgive him, so he leaves in hands of Marc who has plans for her. He senses something special about her. Once she woke up from the anesthesia that she was under she is faced with a Draka prince starring at her. Olivier and Gahariet rescue her from the auction house. Olivier gives her some of his blood and regains her strength. After they realize that she if feisty, and no push over. They know that she is pure Yore and possibly more. Phoung knows that she should leave her two prince’s but she can’t leave her heart’s desire.

Will Phoung find out who she is exactly? Will she leave her two prince’s? Or will she stay and rule Yore with Olivier and Gahariet?

No Spoilers. ARC free book given for an honest review.

Lack of emotion

For some odd reason this story did not pull me in, it is as if I could not feel the characters come alive, story dragged and it did not bring me on a journey, found myself skipping parts in an effort to just get it over with, had high hopes and now I am simply disappointed.

Found this on my kindle and went to read it. The plot had such potential, yet it went sideways. The Yore, the Draka, the whole world and history of both families could have been explored but the powers of the Yore were never really explained, the story went from 'you're pregnant' to 'you're free', to 'you're getting married' and to 'oh look you gave birth', the last three in basically less then 10 pages. The material was great, the execution sloppy.

Good book

The twins are Dracon princeses. Oliver and Gehricks are Draca and Phonge is a Yore. The twins find out that Phonge is there mate and they free her from a rival Dracon. In the meantime Phonge is really a royal princess even an empiress of the Yore. There is another book to find out if the Yore regain their kingdom.

Eh

Eh, could have been better developed. Characters were very one dimensional and hypocritical with their personalities and actions. The storyline was rushed and rather underdeveloped. Cute, not great.

This was an interesting read for several reasons. First the authors' take on dragons and their world is unique. The dragons are the rulers over the world in the book and they are shifters, but they are so much more than that. Without giving anything away, they reminded me of dragons with vampire powers, so points for originality. Second the overall plot isn't one that's never been written, but the twists and turns and the elements that are used for the story are new and they helped to give the story a unique voice. The characters are developed fine for this story, but I did find myself wanting to know a bit more about certain characters.
The love scenes were dominating and bursting with passion. The only real drawback for me, was I was left wondering....ok, what happens next...there is such a build-up about Destiny, trust etc.. I wanted to know what happened. Now, this may be exactly be the authors' intention to open the book up for a sequel or a series, so I don't consider it a negative just a drawback. From start to finish this story gave me a unique prospective, an exciting twisting and turning story, and a sexy romance. This is a story for readers who love an unexpected story, romance, dragons, and passion.

An interesting storyline but it just did not hold my interest all the way.
A pity as I could see an interesting theme developing. Great baddies, empires being rebuilt, two different peoples learning to live in harmony. The people of the planet who have been treated like servants (called roaches) by the upper class Drakon invaders have a lot to forgive. The Drakon need to learn that it is NOT their planet.
Started off very well and kept me reading but then it just seemed to lose vitality. The story unfolded but without grabbing me and taking me along for the ride. I did not feel there was a really great connection in this Triad. I know Phuong was holding back but when they settled it still did not click into place.
Once Phuong had been saved by Olivier it stayed flat for me. The diction was also a bit trite and juvenile at times and didn’t flow due to these short chapters.
Gahariet and Olivier didn’t seem to do anything as a living, they just seemed to be playboy Princes, well Olivier more than Gahariet. Were they supposed to be running the planet??
If this becomes a series, I hope that the story line will improve and hold my attention.

This was a fantastic story that kept my interest right from the
first page until the last page .
This is the story of the relationship between Phuong Olivier and Gahariet
The story is how they had to overcome the deference between.
Olivier and Gahariet were twins and they were not from the same
planet as Phuong in fact years ago their race took over Phuong planet .
Phuone and her brother Xuan were trying to steal from Marc how was in the
black market game.
After Phuong and Xuan got what they were after on the way back out
the floor gave away under her and she told her brother to get out so he
didn't get caught as well.
Marc put her in a cage a drug her so she would not cause any trouble
that is were Olivier and Gahariet found her and Gahariet gave her some
of his blood that brought her out of the effects of the drug and got her
out of he cage and got her out of their. That is how the relationship
between the three of them started.
I received this book for an honest review .
This is one very hot read be prepared to take a cold shower or two

Who doesn't love dragons! and add a sexy twin brother. Dragons are one of my fav shifter books, Ms. Zaftig is a new author to me, all the wild the storyline is interesting.

Two princes of the Draka are pretty much used to having it their way on a world ruled by dragons. where as Phuong a young lady and a orphan, is usually the voice of reason between her and her brother. Oh theres something special about Phuong and theres a couple of people want to know just how special. When a scheme her brother cooks up goes wrong, Phuong's life as she knows will change.

Seers and magic, of course fate and destiny a world shaped by both. I liked the story well enough, I muddled through the first part, reading along until the end. If I had to tell what bothered me I'd have to say the characters I just dont know, I had no connection, I didn't get that reach out and touch me feeling. I did receive this book as a gift from the author in exchange for a honest review.

Enjoy

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review (Thank you!).

Phuong, a Yore orphan, doesn’t want to mate with the twin Draka Princes. When they find and rescue her though, her body has other priorities. What will become of her and her brother when they were about to make a new life for themselves?

Dragon Twins Bride is a most unusual romance, with a riveting plot. It caught and held my attention with all it’s might. Ms. Zaftig is one of my new favorite authors and can keep my attention without even trying. I loved this dragon menage romance and the love scenes were both tempting and warmth inspiring. The intrigue and adventure kept me wanting more with every page. The twin heroes knew how to take care of their heroine and as always with Ms Zaftig’s romances, I got my HEA! I’ll be back for more! 5 Stars!

The other set of twin are the Darken Princes. What will happen when their paths cross? What will happen when they try to steal from the Auction house?

PART 3

This was a great story....a hidden past leads to an uncertain future. Phoung and her brother are orphans that have escaped, but have no clue about who they are. When she gets rescued at an auction house by twin dragon princes, she's not sure what to feel. She's grateful and cautious all at the same time. They are from a different planet and their forefathers are the ones that have taken over her planet. But as she falls in love with them, things get even more complicated.

Great plot with plenty of steamy scenes. The interactions between the main characters will keep you turning the pages. Although I felt like there could have been more excitement during certain scenes, still a great read.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is not my usual read of choice but I thought I'd try it out to see what it was. It was a well written story, with lots of twists. Phuong and her brother Xuan grew up as orphans, not knowing where they came from and escaping into a like of thievery to survive, Xuan learned how to use his charm to finesse special items, they both were able to use a touch of their powers to help out. Phuong was caught during one of their hardest procurement trip only to be rescue by twin dragon princes. Their fates were intertwined, mates for life, although life wasn't quite a smooth transition. Very interesting story.

This could have been an interesting story, but felt a bit YA at times. The book moved quickly, but the characters were not very well developed and kind of immature. Im not sure why they kept falling in bed, they never seemed to have a strong connection. Just an OK read for me. Gifted an ARC for an honest review....

Very interesting twist on other worldly invaders.
This was an intriguing story line, with a good cast of characters.
Nothing better than a few dragons, especially when you're mated to two at once...

Horrible

The story jumped around too quickly making it difficult to connect to any characters. There were very few answers no real conclusion.

There was a good idea here but it should have been fleshed out. It also so would have been better with fewer character views.
