***I received this book in exchange for an unbiased review***

This a pretty good collection of short dystopian stories to get you to want more from the collection of authors. I loved that most of the short stories came from the "world" of the full book that the author has written. The Spera Angelorum story was interesting and had nothing to do with the book Got Luck. I thought it was better than Got Luck and would be interested to see a whole book from this short. The last story Tides of Moon and Bone was a little out there for me and was the least interesting of the group. But otherwise a great collection of shorts to wet your appetite for more from these authors.

Imaginative, well-thought out stories that will suck you in and take you for a ride. Reading a great anthology is like binge-watching Netflix. Just as one show ends, another one begins and keeps the momentum flowing.

What I liked:
Unique glimpses into possible future worlds. I especially liked Stasis Dreams by Josi Russell and Spera Angelorum by Michael Darling .

What I didn't like:
Nothing! This is a fun read. Worth every moment of my time.

I give Future Worlds a solid five stars!

I'm of somewhat mixed feelings on this anthology. On the one hand, there are some very good stories within (and one that was okay but still not bad). For the most part, I enjoyed reading them. On the other hand, every single story was followed by a note that it was part of that author's larger book series and a link for where you could buy it. This made me feel like it was less an anthology of cool stories and more just a book of promotional material for other books.

And yet, I can't entirely fault them for that because - like I said - these were mostly very good stories. I appreciated being told where I could read more. I guess I just would have preferred this anthology to be upfront about that fact rather than having to discover it as I read. Then again, that might have turned me off of reading it entirely, and then I would have missed out on some cool stories, so...

I dunno. Like I said, mixed feelings.

Some very solid stories in here. I even added a few folks to the list of authors to check out.

Future worlds lives up to its name in that each of the five short stories take place on a distinctive Sci Fi world. A world under threat from the skies, a ship full of people in cryogenic sleep, a world where humans live as gods, a world where a high heart-rate can kill you, and even a… wait for it… a Jurassic World.

Of the above mentioned, I found the world in "Spera Angelorum" (where humans have inhuman power over their surroundings) to be the most interesting. In this world, normal people who can do (or have done) impressive things without using the all-too-common superpowers are a form of entertainment. The story covers a show where two of these humans perform for an audience of "angels." The details of the performers' lives, their philosophies, and their very identities are all caught up in the suspenseful action that takes place on stage.

I received a free preview copy of the anthology and there may have been changes and corrections made before it was released. Although, my copy didn't have any blaring editing errors.

This was a collection of several short stories that I got through Kickstarter, and I have to say I found it disappointing overall. The only story I really loved was by Michael Darling. It features a couple of performers traveling together on tour, when Harry meets an audience member who won't play along.

The rest of the stories were a mixed bag, and while some of them were good, there were all basically commercials for full length series. Why did I pay so much for this when it was mostly advertising?
