a meticulously detailed book explaining the brotherhood doings before, during and after the fall of the Morsi rule in Egypt. while I applaud the research, I cannot find myself agreeing with the end points or the agenda driven behind writing such a book in the first place. The author keeps criticizing the Obama administration for being "naive" about the brotherhood schemes. Does the author want a repetition of the Bush policy about Hamas for example? He does not explain. there is also his analysis when he refused to give Morsi's credit in his diplomacy that stopped an Israeli assault on Gaza saying that the old security apparatus that was in control of the issues pertaining the israeli-palestinian conflict that handled the ceasefire. which i find a bit perplexing, If Morsi had no role, and it's all entirely due to the security apparatus, why was the 2014 war (when Sisi was and is still president) much more destructive? again, no explanation.
