Whiling away a few hours making pompoms is fantastic fun for all the family, and these wonderfully easy pompom projects are sure to brighten up your day. It's a strange book, A4 sized but with only 17 pompom things to make, but then I suppose there are only so many things you can make from a bunch of pompoms.
The pages are all in colour and the instructions are clear, you can make a bunch of cherries which you can turn into a brooch (want to make that next); a little yellow chick; a bunny; garland; mouse (the cats liked this); caterpillar; spider (also liked this); sheep; lamb; snowman (next on the agenda I think); a teddy bear; dog; pot stand; heart; wreath (if you changed the colours you could make a nice christmas one, maybe I'll make this one as well); planets mobile (not keen on this really) and the one I'm currently making for a present an elasticated doll. I had to take a look at when this book was written as in the doll instructions it says by making long hair you could turn that into a ponytail or plait and your doll becomes a girl. What!! Well was surprised to come across such a stereotype in a pompom craft book. I mean look at the wonderful Hamza in Strictly Come Dancing at the moment with his hair which reaches down to his calves!! Who's to say that plaits can only be found on girls heads!! Well, really.
After looking through several books online, I decided to purchase this one. It is easy to read, the pictures show you what to expect when the project is completed. I recommend ...
Beautiful full color photographs, detailed and well written instructions, fully illustrated instructions for the basic techniques on the last few pages.
