Yes, I Am

Rate this book
Yes, I Am is Norman Grubb's last and most comprehensive work on the union of Christ and the believer--"Christ in you, the hope of glory." Here he explores the great foundational truths of what he called "Total Truth"--the nature of God Himself, the true nature of man, the fall of man, and our two-fold redemption through the blood and body of Christ. Finally, he shares clarifications on the pivotal Romans 6-8, chapters he has dug into "a thousand times," demonstrating how to live "as the free men in Christ we've been redeemed to be." Finally, Norman moves on to the highest calling of all, the life of intercession.

In Yes, I Am, Norman Grubb reveals again what has been the "sole heartbeat" of his books. "There is a joy unspeakable and full of glory, a peace that passeth understanding, and an all-sufficiency in all things by which we are able to abound unto every good work."

This book came to me at the right time in my life. Growing up in the Church all my life, going to a Bible College, becoming a minister, getting a divorce, eventually remarrying and searching for what seemed to be lacking in what I've been taught, taught myself(merely a repetition of what I was taught) as to who God is, who I am in relation to God, on down the line. Norman P. Grubb successfully put into words what my spirit recognizes as the truth. Who I am, in Christ, Christ in me. Not a bunch of rules and regulations to strictly follow to stay in favor with a God up in the sky, but living a life in the Spirit, a life of faith, with the Spirit, presence of God "in" me. I look forward to reading more of his books, and allowing this revelation imparted to me to grow with each day. I would love to have this as a hard bound copy to keep in my library.

One of the best books I've ever read. This book explains our nature and our union with Christ once we accept Him as our savior.

Life-Changing!

At the outset, Grubb forewarns you that he's beginning with abstract concepts, but to bear with him as he moves into the meat and potatoes. I would emphasize the same to you. I almost put the book down at first, but really sensed the Lord nudging me to continue on, and I am so glad that I did. Grubb takes you continually into the scriptures, and considering the radical claims of freedom and union with Christ that he is making, he'd better! If you're interested in having a more thorough understanding of our union with Christ, of the reality "the life I live I live by faith...yet not I but Christ," read this book. Grubb handles with great attention, also, the problem of Romans 7, offering a powerful framework to understand sin nature, sin-consciousness, and the outrageous idea of living sin-free. I highly recommend this book. If you're anything like me, you'll walk away from it changed.

Never read anything like this

This is probably the best book I have ever read other than the bible. So much truth, so much freedom!

loved his insight into what prayer is--"making the request once and then moving to thanking Him for it already being done, which causes you to act in accordance ie faith."
