a big movie buff! He is a keen observer of people from different cultural & social backgrounds , and enjoys interacting with them & listening to their “stories” . He has had major personal & spiritual
transformation over the past decade due to many accurate astrological predictions and personal premonitions, including the death of his father, in his own life. Being an engineering and science student, he found the new “dimension” very baffling as well as interesting, and started to study & believe in “alternative science”, a science which he now believes exists but is not understood. His books in the series “Fables of Fatal Fate” are interesting fictional stories that are sometimes inspired from real life experiences and have a unique mix of drama and thrill creatively woven around the fabric of his “alternative science” views - which he sums up as "100% Intelligent Bollywood Masala"!

A unique storyline that forces you to be wide awake

First of all a huge thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of the book to read

one of the things that impresses you about the book is definitely the language because in my personal experience it is very rare that Indian authors use simpler language to narrate their stories as It is usually seen in Indian fiction that the language used is highly complex making reading more like an academic project rather than a pleasurable reading experience. In this regard the language of the book is simple and lures you to the book and keeps you hooked to it. The simplicity of language helps you to keep track of the story because the book travels into a whole lot of alleys creating a bit of confusion if not followed diligently.

At times I have noticed how author spaces out from an ongoing event with his extended descriptions but luckily even though the author diverts himself from the point in his quest to describe something, he has always managed to bounce back without making it too weird and odd

One of the things that irate me in this book too is the Use of hinglish. I strongly detest and hate this. Yes to be fair, it is used very rarely but still I couldn't get over those Hindi dialogues whenever they appeared and then there is bit of rawness when it comes to dialogues that occur in between the storyline but I think towards the second half the execution started getting caught in its own web because all the characters and sub tracks started running too fast towards the book’s end that it became a bit difficult to hold on to it with ease
The theme of the book reminded me a lot about one of my favourite movie series " final destination " and the theme of the book had that flavor and I absolutely loved it since it gave us something completely different to read. Also At various junctures you do get to see the author trying to impart his personal beliefs under the garb of the story and I thought it was brilliant as to how se weaved that into the plot without glaringly standing out.

The book is like a chain reaction and you can't miss on a single event or piece because loosing on even a single piece, kind of takes you out of the loop and you would end up trying to match the dots so its better to pay attention all the while and keeping track of things as the story flows.

The conversations seem unnatural in places and there are a few grammatical errors that went unnoticed, but despite that, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story sounds silly initially, but as it progresses, you're left rooting for these characters and hoping that they manage to somehow escape the fate that awaits them. Fast-paced, interesting and a quick read, this book is the stuff Bollywood multi-starers are made of.

Having thoroughly enjoyed Dhiraj Singh's debut novel 'Point Ten Zeros Six Nine', I couldn't wait to lay my hands (& eyes of course!) on his next book 'Get One Bye Two'. No, rest assured, it's not an eCommerce Sale tagline!! Given the author's penchant for pun and creativity (and ability thereof i dare say), there's a lot than what meets the eye. Having loved the first book, and recommended to all & sundry, I was more than tempted to see what is there on offer.
Start the book and the first page itself has you: Without any ado, without any preamble, comes this 'The aircraft skidded off the runway and crashed into a jeep parked near the boundary walls of the airport'. It draws you in. You recall the 'Get ready for a spine-chilling ride' written on the jacket of the book, is not written casually.
Readers familiar with the author's first book would recall that premonitions are something that the author has confessed witnessing first hand. In this book though, it gets extended to the 'medium' that entwines the fate, the destiny. We encounter the question: Is the fate written? Is the future decided already, by the Almighty? Is there a 'Medium' that binds the events of future? It's absolutely remarkable to see these get used as a motif: still keeping the subject as light and easy.
The story starts ' yes, with a premonition about a plane crash. Yes, a premonition. And, then another plane ride ' the ill-fated flight, as the author calls it. (A bit of digression here, as I'm tempted to ask, if the fate is written, then why the fate would be written as ill? Is He, the creator, gets a kick to destroy first and then do the good?). A few minutes into the take-off, all but three of these people are dead. Pulse racing, flipping a few more pages and you find yourself gripped in the backstories of every character. Story of every moving like a sinusoidal curve: An aspiring actor to a pilot, Professor to a restaurateur ' Seemingly improbable on the face but the author wins us by making the characters believable. It's utterly fascinating to see the author treating his readers as 'Intelligent', and not make everything a breeze! Hold on, doesn't mean the readers are dumb or the writers treat them as one. I would like to believe that there would be moments of temptation to play safe, thoughts running in the mind 'Is the story becoming convoluted? '. This is ambitious stuff, and it worked. Use of palindromes and anagrams to convey a philosophical point was great.
Not just that the book is brimming with intelligent observations (Some of them reminded me of the first book) like celebrities in the plane crossing the alley 'Maybe it was an admission of guilt that they did not deserve such adulation'. I found this particular one profound, and how these details have been observed masterfully. Somewhere along two-thirds of it, the book draws you in ' makes you go back, flip a few pages and you've that eureka moment 'Jeez, that's what the author has been implying'?
I'm glad that the ' Fables of Fatal Tale ' has a new volume in the name of 'Get One Bye Two', and is a welcome addition in 'Keeping us Reading'.

I received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Thanks to the author for shipping the copy of Get One Bye Two to me.

I loved the naive concept of the book. It deals with the concept of split which means that there exists some other human in the entire universe who fate is linked with you. I won't go deep into the concept. The characters Anil, Umar, Niraj, Lina, Maru and Rajni were nicely portrayed and there was no confusion in the narration despite being many characters.
The writing style was simply enchanting. At times, the narration was very fast but I felt it was necessary too. The book is divided into three parts : Divine Physics, Destined Chemistry and Deadly Mathematics. It gives you thrill and the imagination of the author is appreciable. I loved the concept of split. Its was totally unique to me.
Each character had a significant role to play in the novel. The relationships between the characters were established very elegantly. The author gives you many hints to connect the characters yourself and believe me, you'll love doing that.
The novel will surely keep the readers hooked throughout the reading.
I strongly recommend it to the ones who love science, mystery and suspense.

I have read many books in the past by great authors but no book mesmerized me so much as this one. First of all, the title of the book “Get One Bye Two” itself made me curious to read it and I was glued to it till the end.

This book is an absolute thriller and most importantly imagination of the author is commendable as every moment is described so well as if it is happening in real and in front of my eyes.

I would also like to touch upon one more unique concept of human split which is beautifully and logically supported by quantum theory in this book. Every incident is connected with the other which again surprises me at the creativity of the author. Now after reading this book even I believe that we all have our splits somewhere in the world.

I strongly believe that this definitely can be transformed into a super hit Bollywood masala as it is amalgamation of thrill, romance and suspense.

This book would appeal to those readers into fast paced novels (which I admit I am not) or/and those readers interested in Fate/Spirituality/Eternal questions about the purpose of Life - by introducing an interesting and intriguing concept of "Splits".
There is sufficient reality in the book to make one wonder in the end " what if such a concept does exist ?'' - a similar feeling one would get after watching the movies Interstellar or Matrix
A highly recommended light read.

It's a fast-paced read and has a gripping storyline. The start was not so great but as one continue to read it become more interesting. Book subtly mention some social mistrust and real issues in India. It will provoke a thought in an unknown realm of fate and its possible connection with science.

Fast paced and amazingly written. Once I started with this book, I found it really hard to put it down. The plot was so interesting with never a dull moment. The story was crisp and neat with no unnecessary additions to the story line. There were so many elements to the plot that you can't get it out of your head.

I got this book in the giveaway. Thanks to the author.
This book is a fast paced light read. The concept is intriguing and the storyline keeps you glued to the very last page. I definitely agree that this book has all the ingredients for a movie (action, thrill, romance, mystery, spiritual intervention - you name it).
I would have rated this book higher but to me the character introduction and build up feels a bit rushed.

Thank you so much for such an interesting and different story covering all emotions/sequences of life.
After 'Point Ten Zeroes....' I took this book on 1st day after launch and found it equally interesting.
Surprised! How PCM is related to life so closely.
Recommending reading something new about SPLITS to wonder if all this is true! Truly presented in an effective manner.
Looking forward for the next one!
