NEIL T. ANDERSON is founder and president of Freedom in Christ Ministries. He was formerly the chairman of the Practical Theology Department at Talbot School of Theology. He holds five degrees from Talbot, Pepperdine University and Arizona State University and Arizona State University and has authored several bestselling books on spiritual freedom, including Victory Over the Darkness and The Bondage Breaker.
In Neil T. Anderson’s Winning Spiritual Warfare, the author provides a grounded, biblically-centered roadmap for navigating the complexities of spiritual conflict without falling into the trap of sensationalism. Unlike many books on this topic that focus on "fighting" external demons, Anderson emphasizes the believer's identity in Christ and the importance of a renewed mind as the primary battlefield. He argues effectively that victory is not achieved through personal strength or complex rituals, but through a deep, experiential understanding of one's position as a child of God. The book is structured logically, blending theological insights with practical "Steps to Freedom" that encourage readers to confront personal strongholds, past wounds, and deceptive thoughts. While the tone is authoritative, it remains deeply encouraging, making it an essential read for anyone looking to move past a "victim" mentality and embrace the spiritual authority found in scripture.
Key Takeaways for your Review
• Identity in Christ: The idea that knowing who you are is the first step to winning any battle. • The Power of Truth: Focusing on replacing lies with biblical truth rather than focusing on the darkness itself. • Practical Application: The book is famous for its "Steps to Freedom in Christ," which provide a structured way to pray and repent.

I love that it has practical steps through out the book to beat spiritual warfare! I loved the exercises and prayer outlines taking the guess work out and giving people the tools they need. His book was not weird at all, he kept things simple with lots of biblical references.
This is a really good book on how to win at spiritual warfare, just like the title. It has a step-by-step approaching to renounce the lies, demonic activities, curses, etc. in it by praying the Word of God, speaking Truth.
It's a very short book at 46 pages, but very powerful. I found that there were some things I did that were considered as witchcraft, which was freaky because I'm anti-stuff like that.
Very eye-opening.
A must for any Bible-believing, practicing Christian who wants greater intimacy with God and victory in his/her life.
At the end of the book there is a "workbook" section to help you rid of whatever you believe is holding you away from Christ.
Some of the steps might feel odd or out of your comfort zone - especially for those who are more conservative. But there is great healing to be found in taking a leap of faith and diving in.
