Not my fave of the series.
I didn't think Stacey stayed in character. She seemed a lot more toned down from her characterization in the last book. Hugh was great.
But the story seemed to be more about the introduction of new secret organizations (good and bad) than about the romance between Hugh and Stacey.
Intrigue is NOT why I read CMB's stuff. So I was disappointed.
The story just seemed all over the place with constant attacks by the bad guys.

Loved the Storyline
Hmmm, how to describe this fantastic book? Spy thriller, traitors, house of lies, magic and mysticism, unconditional love, or how about just a thrilling page turner I could not put down. Great story.

Great !!
This book was part of a series . I loved that Hugh and Stacey got their story. If you read any of the other series by ms. Block you will love this book. All of her books 📚 are action packed, have a story line that you will love 💘.
