The third installment of the Dying Days series by Armand Rosamilia has Darlene Bobich and the rest of our zombie apocalypse survivors coalesce into a group that has been able to develop a relatively comfortable space to weather the vicissitudes of the current milieu. Interestingly, Darlene is looked upon as a leader, which in earlier books one would have felt would be repellant and even avoided by someone with her personality. Yet, she may have resisted the initial responsibility, but gradually takes the reins.

Here, the zombies are adapting and regaining their agency. Along with their tireless ability to move ceaselessly and resist injury, these new zombies present a larger challenge than in their earlier incarnation. Now they seem to demonstrate an ability to think, plan, strategize, and with a revivified body kill in a much more insidious manner. In this new paradigm, the survivors may not be survivors for much longer. I love the characters, but I'm not sure that the women characters are behaving like women. I kind of feel torn.

I know in horror, people tend to follow their baser instincts, but even so base doesn't necessarily mean evil. The blood and gore is pretty good, with some shocking things transpiring off-camera so-to-speak, obliquely referred to in order to alert the reader as to what happened behind closed doors. I've decided that I will read the whole series so I bought the rest of the books. Hopefully, I will not regret my decision.

The Dying Days saga continues with the third installment of the main series title. Dying Days 3 continues to put Armand Rosamilia's talent for writing zombie horror on display. Rosamilia keeps the story line ever changing and evolving. Dying Days 3 is no exception, this time the zombies take a quantum leap.

As usual, the story keeps focus on the survivors. Namely Darlene Bobitch and her small band of survivors living on stilt houses in Flagler Beach, Florida. While Darlene continues to hone her kick ass no-holds-barred style of living and loving, the zombies she fights on a daily basis also start to evolve.

Rosamilia treads dangerous territory with where he is taking his zombies. Some may scoff at the very idea of the twist. But, unless your are a die hard purist, you should embrace the change and get excited for the possibilities it presents for future installments in the series.

All in all, the action continues to be tight. There is never a boring moment and you turn the page and try to keep up with the action. The twist with the zombies keeps you guessing as to where the story (and the series for that matter) are going to go. The end really ramps up the jaw dropping and cliff hanging as we now must all wait with mouths agape for the next installment in the series.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, Armand Rosamilia is one funny bastard! Each time I read another of his books I'm surprised that it just gets better. He manages to capture the genre perfectly. The funny is spot on, the horror is ghastly.

The entire Dying Days series is worth adding to your collection. Dying Days 3, like its predecessors is so much more than just a simple zombie tale. Darlene Bobich, all around badass chick fights off everything but the kitchen sink! When I grow up, I want to be Darlene! Okay, maybe not the black thong. I'm not a fan of wedgies.

I wont spoil the book by telling you about the specifics because it's worth discovering on your own. But let me just say...holy twist Batman!! Gotta love a zombie with a God complex. Now there's something you don't see everyday.

Rosamilia hits it out of the park with Dying Days 3. The ending has left me salivating for more. Oh ya, and looking for a new place to live. He's scared me away from Florida!

I have to give this armand guy who wrote this series some credit, he came up with a novel idea, no pun intended, for what happens with the zombies, but the guy is just too crude when it comes to women, not what might be done to women if no law and order existed, because i fully understand that most men are pigs... but what he thinks women are like... that is the part i can't stand about these novels... the guy has a twisted sense of female sexuality and thinks women are like men. For that and what Dying days 3 ended with i no longer had any desire to continue on with this series... it ends up with a two middle fingers up on the Chris and Ca review...

What could be more terrifying than a mindless zombie lurching towards you? Unfortunately Darlene, John and the other survivors are soon to find out and it's name is Frank. The third installment in this emotionally charged, character driven story picks up from the second book. The group suffers losses and some unpleasant surprises. If you love the horror/zombie genre with some tongue in cheek humour, this is the series for you.

Another engaging book in the series.

Now that I may talk about the twist (since, presumably you read the first two) I have to say, I find it intriguing. The first audiobook I ever narrated had zombies who had regained their intellect so it isn't new to me. Armand takes it a step further, however as they aren't just getting their minds back but are, in some ways, far more than they were.

This is definitely a series I'm going to finish.

Highly recommended.

A great series

This series just jeeps getting more intense. From newfound love to tragedy in mere moments, Armand Rosamilia has it all rolling at the pace of NASCAR. I cannot say enough how invested I am in this sereis. Housework, what's that? I have the next book in the series to read.

Darlene has found a safe place but there are limited supplies. This book is focussed on the struggle to survive when there are limited resources and the threat of zombies. Looking forward to the next instalment

In this book We meet Frank the zombie, ex-surgeon, the husband of "Patient Zero",an evolving Zombie and a unique POV.("Oh Crap!") Darleen & John finally get together. The small group of survivors start to notice, some very subtle changes with some of the undead. This small group of survivors are slowly dwindling, some are taking off on their own in the middle of the night and taking part of what little provisions are left with them when they go.More than one member of this small group of survivors are begging to question the validity in the desire to stay alive in a world where a safe haven is just a myth. Each day they must fight to stay alive. Supplies are few and each time they send a team out to search for food there is no certainty that they will return. They also believe there must be another group of survivors close, the number of infected out to kill them at every turn are decreasing and someone is piling up the carcases of the dead again on the highway.
Mr.Armand Rosamilia, has created a world that few could begin to imagine. The characters have great depth and personality. He describes this world in such detail you can see it clearly in your mind.
I went between the Ebook and Audiobook. Amanda M Lehman does a wonderful job with the voices and the story.

I have liked this series, and m moving on to book 4 now...It is really becoming terrifying for the group because these zombies are regenerating...and they can think again...and they are truly evil!! Not only are they still sex crazed maniacs they want to eat babies and stuff...its just really scary!!! Such a creative world is going on here and I dont know how it was thought up...but I am glad it was...pretty good series...I just wish Armand would have picked a better narrator!
