Big Easy #7

Going Too Fast

Rate this book
A Big Easy/Sapphire Falls story

Zac Lewis has just finished medical school and is about to embark on his five-year residency to become an orthopedic surgeon. Before it starts, he decides to take some time off to relax and “ramble about.” He borrows an old RV from a friend and heads west with no definite direction. He decides to let the highway take him where it will. Fate puts him in Sapphire Falls during festival week.

Tacy Bradford is a former member of the Women’s National Soccer team. She’s got her gold medal…and a wrecked knee. Forced to quit playing too soon, she’s left to figure out “what now?” When her old babysitter, Lauren invites her to the festival, she decides a relaxing trip to Sapphire Falls might be just the ticket. However, the easy pace she was looking for evaporates once she lays eyes on Zac.

One minute Tacy and Zac are playfully arguing over who gets the last caramel apple, the next they’re doing the naked mambo in her hotel room and his RV. Neither one of them has a clue where they’re headed, but they know they’re going too fast. And they don’t care.

You know that instant connection you sometimes see when two people meet? The one that says they are meant to be together, no matter how crazy it seems? That is what Mari Carr shows us and makes us feel in Going Too Fast. Two strangers in Sapphire Falls for the annual festival find their lives turned upside down by an undeniable connection and a romance fast tracked by the short time they have planned in town. Smart, sassy and oh so sexy Going Too Fast is a novella that reads like a novel and is a fantastic addition to both Ms. Carr's Big Easy series and Erin Nicholas' Sapphire Falls World.

After blowing out her knee World Cup soccer player Tacy Bradford is in Sapphire Falls to visit her long ago babysitter Lauren Bennett. Tacy's not sure where she is going in her life, but the minute she spots a handsome man in the cafe and it gives her hope that some fun and romance are in her future.

On a six week journey from New Orleans to California Zac Lewis finds himself in Sapphire Falls, Nebraska for the community's festival. He's not sure what drew him to the town but after spotting the beautiful blond in the cafe he's hoping to find her again.

I'm a sucker for a love at first sight story and this one was simply perfect. Both Tacy and Zac are at a crossroads in their lives with Tacy trying to decide what to do with her life and Zac preparing to begin his residency after years of college and medical school. I loved that they were both equally smitten, both immediately attracted and both willing to jump in with both feet and see where those feelings take them.

For a novella, these characters were remarkably well developed and while I would have loved to spend more time with them (like you know on the road to Big Sur, hello Mari do you hear me?) I felt these two had a great start to their relationship. By the way, these two enjoy each other fully on multiple occasions and let's just say everyone is extremely satisfied including the reader.

Fans of Mari Carr's Big Easy series will no doubt enjoy this book and fans of Erin Nicholas' Sapphire Falls series will enjoy meeting these new characters and seeing a few SF regulars making cameo appearances and then of course there's the Ferris wheel and the hunted house which are almost characters on their own! All together Going Too Fast is simply a fantastic romance.

This book is part of the Kindle World series that is part of the Sapphire Falls series by Erin Nicholas. I love the Sapphire Falls series and was excited to receive an advance copy of this book to read and to review.

Zac Lewis is traveling around the country before starting his residency in orthopedic surgery. He arrives in Sapphire Falls at the time of the annual festival and gets caught up in the fun of small town life. Tacy Bradford is in town to visit with her friend Lauren and to regroup after retiring from her soccer career due to an injury. After a chance encounter w/ Tacy in the local diner, Zac finds himself checking out all the attractions at the festival hoping to run into the beautiful woman with whom he exchanged heated glances.

Their paths cross at the caramel apple booth which sets them on a path they both know is moving too fast ... but they can't seem to stop!

I have read other books by Mari Carr and as per her usual style, this book will have you swooning over the chemistry between the characters. I enjoyed this fast paced addition to the Sapphire Falls series and I plan to read the other books in Mari's Big Easy series (so I can meet Zac's family) as a result.

I love Mari Carr's Big Easy series and Erin Nicholas' Sapphire Falls series so I loved that I got the best of both worlds with this story. Zac and Tacy had an immediate connection and it was great to see them explore those feelings. I really enjoyed watching them discover the joy that is Sapphire Falls...the festival, the people and falling in love. Another fantastic read!

What a great fast track read! I really enjoyed Zak and Tacy's story and the adventure they took me on. Zak has just finished med school and decided to take a RV trip before starting his residency to be an orthopedic surgeon. Tacy has had her world turned upside-down by a career ending knee injury. No longer able to play soccer, she doesn't have a direction. The decision to visit her friend Lauren could just change her life forever! Meeting Zak at the fall festival, their attraction is fire and they embark on a whirlwind romance! This is a fast paced insta-love novella set in the Sapphire Falls world and the Big Easy world. What a great story!

Tacy Bradford is a former US Women's Team soccer player who retired because of a knee injury. She is in Sapphire Falls visiting a friend and trying to figure out what to do next. Zac Lewis just graduated from medical school. He's taking a trip in a friend's RV before he starts his residency. Zac and Tacy meet and there is an immediate attraction. They spend some time together and really fall for each other. They are compatible in many ways. This is a lovely story about two people who meet and fall in love. It was great to see this couple open up to each other and fall in love.

Whirlwind

Looking for a quick whirlwind romance? Look no further. They have a week to get each other out of their system, will it be enough. They constantly asks themselves can you fall in love in a matter of days. Will their fear keep them apart or will they see where it can take them?

Wow! Hot Chemistry

Zac and Tacy are attracted to each other instantly upon meeting but they both think it might be a little crazy and too soon. But when life throws you a curve ball, you take a swing and go with it. Loved these two characters together. I will definitely get the Big Easy series now!

Wow! Talk about love on the fast track! Zac is traveling around the West Coast in an RV taking a break before starting his residency in New Orleans. Tracy is trying to decide what to do with her life after a knee injury ends her soccer career. Tracy is in Sapphire Falls to visit her old babysitter, Lauren while Zac came across a flyer advertising the festival and decided to check it out. The chemistry is hot on first sight for both of them and they decide to live for the moment and see what happens.

Mari brought her own style of writing into this series. It fits perfectly with the Sapphire Falls series. The connection with the characters was instantaneous. You could feel their emotions and know what was going on in their heads. The chemistry was off the charts & the sexual scenes were hot & tasteful. Sounds like a contradiction but you'll know what I mean when you read it. The plot is easy to follow and the pace is perfect. Some novellas rush you through or start slow & rush you to the ending. This book was perfectly paced. It definitely spikes some interest in reading Zac's families stories written by Mari.

Both feel their relationship is moving too fast and the realization scares both of them. Their lives are at a crossroads and neither expected to find someone they connected with at such a deep level. They decide to spend the week getting to know one another and make no plans beyond the week.

This was a lovely, very sexy addition to the Sapphire Falls setting created by author Erin Nicholas. Zac and Tacy are strangers to the town, but meet during a festival. Zac's on a road trip before starting his medical residency and Tacy is visiting her cousin Lauren, a new resident. Tacy is something of a sports celebrity, being retired from women's soccer and still finding her way post injury, unsure of her future. With Zac, she can just live in the moment, as can he, and they share some steamy scenes on this holiday fling. Neither is ready for it to be over though, and with a little help from insta-love, they find their way to a very satisfactory happy ending. I loved seeing the festival from newcomers eyes, and thought this story fit very well in the Sapphire Falls world. 4 stars.

Zak Lewis has embarked on a cross country trip in a borrowed RV before starting his residency as an orthopedic surgeon. He sees a flyer at a gas station for the summer festival in Sapphire Falls and decides to make a stop there. Tacy Bradford is a famous former soccer player who is taking some R&R in Sapphire Falls visiting her close friend Lauren Bennett. Little does she know Lauren and the rest of the Sapphire Falls crew have made her the celebrity of the week for summer festival. The two meet and have an instant connection. I completely loved this book. The regular Sapphire Falls characters were written in a way that stayed true to the original author. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

This Kindle World novella fits perfectly with Erin Nicholas's Sapphire Falls series. Both Tacy and Zac are visiting Sapphire Falls during the annual festival. Both are looking for a break from their everyday lives, and find it in the magical town. Their relationship develops quickly, as the title implies. My only complaint is the story was over too fast!

This book definitely makes me want to explore more of Mari Carr's work, and meet the rest of Zac's family (you get a snippet of their stories in this book).

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

OMG I loved this Kindle World Novella that was set in my favorite fictional town of Sapphire Falls! This is a quick and fun read. I devoured it in an evening of ignoring my family. Mari Carr is on my MBR list -must be read- I loved her take on Erin Nicholas's Sapphire Falls series and we got to see some of the Town's regular citizens. Best of all this novella takes place during one of the many Town festivals! We get some scares in the Haunted house and some thrills on the Ferris Wheel. Zac and Tacy are great together and I loved seeing how their relationship grows.

So to summarize this review... READ THIS BOOK!

Another great read from the Sapphire Falls Kindle World .What is not to love in Sapphire Falls at festival time? Ferris Wheel, haunted house, lots of food, how can one not fall in love with this town and each other. Zac is on a road trip before he settles down to be a Dr. and Tacy is recovering from a knee injury that ended her soccer career. They are both strangers that land in Sapphire Falls during festival time. Will they still be strangers after a week at the festival. Find out in this novella based in Sapphire Falls, you won't be disappointed.

Tacy is visiting Sapphire Falls after messing up her knee. Zac decides to take a break before starting his residency program, borrows an rv and ends up in Sapphire Falls too. Oh my word! This novella was hot! The chemistry between Zac and Tacy is scorching! After hearing all about how wonderful Zac's family is, I need to read the rest of The Big Easy books. I loved this novella and I would definitely recommend it!

I loved this novella. It was such a great fit with the Sapphire Falls books. Zac and Tacy's chemistry was off the charts hot! And I loved the quick to love story line. It made for a really interesting and exceptional read. I cannot wait to go pick up Ms. Carr's Big Easy series to read about the rest of Zac's family. I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Zac has had a hard life, Tacy was always pushed to be her best. Both have parent issues, but very different issues. Though through sharing stories they find common ground. Their story is one of love at first site and exploring a new town and each others bodies. You will be reunited with Lauren and Travis in this book.

The magic of Sapphire Falls strikes again! The chemistry between Zac and Tacy was hot. But I think I enjoyed their getting to know one another and supporting each other more. Mari wrote a really cute, sexy novella to go along with the rest of Sapphire Falls. Definitely a great quick read!
