I broke the one-night stand rule.
I screwed someone I knew. Someone I had to see again.
Oh, and the cherry on top, (literally), was that I gave him my virginity.
Big mistake. Huge mistake.

Dalton Douglas lived thousands of miles away.
I thought I was safe.
Until I showed up at my internship and found out we were working together.

We were never supposed to touch each other.
His family hated me.
I hated his family.
We weren't supposed to like each other.
But why did I still feel drawn towards him?
Why did I still allow him to touch me?
To kiss me?
To screw me?

Karma was a very entertaining book, and i had a good time reading it.. I can not wait for the next one..

I loved the first book so much and this one, although different was also very good.. Gabby and Dalton know how to seriously complicate everything around them..
Six months after their drunken, first night together they end up working in the same place -"hell's" department on earth- and in the same case..

Dalton doesn't want to work for his father because he had enough of his family meddling on his life, and Gabby, well he hates Dalton's family, for how they treat her mother. But when those two get together they can't hide their feelings anymore..

Gabby was great i liked her so much, but Dalton had many issues.. He has to man up and fight for what he really wants.. Although it wasn't very flattering for his personality how he contemplated what his future will be like, without his wealth if he takes the leap with Gabby, i can absolutely justify his train of thought.. It was a very realistic trait.

The only problem i found in this beautiful book was the a tiny misconception with the age of Gabby's mother and John's.. Anyway that was a tiny detail only.. Overall the book was very good..

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- I had such a good time with the girls..
- Cora and Lane are hilarious..
- I was so happy reading about Keegan and Daisy again..
- I was so happy their was no Piper in the whole book..
- Eva was very cool..
- Dual POV..
- Leo is a great father..
- His parents are awful.. hate them to no end..
- Tristan : Interesting!
- Asher! Loved him right away!
- I 'm so excited to see, what will happen next!
- Who tells the truth? John ot her mother? He knew or not?

- The concert: hot!

2.5 Estrellas!

FIVE KARMA FILLED STARS x INFINITY

Imagine my surprise when I was able to get a read of this!
Imagine my surprise when I got to lose myself in this amazing book!

Yes. I went crazy.
Yes. I DREAMED about it when I had to put it down.
And yes...I'm bitching because it's over!

I remember reading The Fault In Our Stars and I loved Gabby unconditionally! Her smartass replies always gave me a good laugh. Her expressive word uses, and the way she just acts had me vying for her story (especially when she revealed she gave her V-card to Dalton, the evil biatch aka Piper's brother!). I knew this would cause for an epic read.

And I was not disappointed!

My angst radar was off the charts, because I knew this was gonna be a worthy read that filled that little bookwhore in me!

Not only did Gabby end up crossing path with Dalton - who she ditched the morning after - she had to work partner up with him for a client! And...SPARKS fucking flew off of my device!

Their first heated encounter after ditching him was AWESOME! I was hanging on to every syallbus as I read, BEGGING and praying that the author didn't let them get interrupted!

But gosh dangit! Why u so evil dear author?!?!

The book had a lot of twist an turns - but it wasn't the annoying kind that made me wanna fling my device (ok ok, I lie I lie...but blame it on that angst whore in me <--- she's never satisfied)

Gabby's had a hard life. I mean in the previous book we get the gist of her life on the surface but she is so much more. She became real, her problems became mines and her emotions choked the fuck out of me. She was so hung up on KARMA being out to get her that the poor girl didn't know she was making her life miserable. And then the sad part is, when she actually took that leap, only to be shoved back out of anger from KARMA - it broke her completely.

Not to mention the big secret falling on her?

Ugh - why are men such assholes???

I joked around about the identity of her father, but to be correct? (I felt awesome somewhat lol) but another part of me felt bad because...DAMN that kind of knowledge, factored in with all the shit she's dealing with? I won't be surprise if she booked herself into an asylum.

Sigh...

Then we have Dalton fucking Douglas.

I...I *shifty eyes* ::I love him:: =X
Ok, maybe I'm in lust with him.
Sue me.

I love the rawness he has. Like, he's all business - wearing suits and talking that special language that commands girls to drop their panties - neon sign asking a 'dalton douglas' to enter at will!! LOL. I love his filthy mouth and the way he just demand answers. The way he right out tell Gabby she belongs to him without sounding like a douche. Or how about his blatant show of jealousy while still keeping his balls in tact?
Excuse me for a bit:

Ok...I think am good :)

Dalton still has his hung ups, and still has the genes of a stupid, fucking asshole. Although his hesitancy to look at the big picture pisses me off, I love the realness of it. He's had it easy his whole life, and to take a leap and change all that, of course you'd be scared shitless. I love how the author didn't automatically made him give up everything by a turn of the page when the whole time in the book was stretching on the fact that he didn't want to get cut off from his dad.

But his dedication to Gabby, even through his fear was commendable, n my neon light bulbs began flashing faintly. :)

The only thing I didn't like was how he always called her babe or baby. He'd call Eva that...and even though it stopped (in line with him not really talking to her) it still irked me cuz it felt like he use that nickname loosely. I wanted him to have a special name for her.... Could you imagine how much I love when he go all caveman on Gabby?!?! :D

Anyways...There's also Asher - Gabby's stepbrother. Another hottie I won't mind adding to my menu lol. His confession made me teary eyed. But I love his dedication to Gabby...Like if Dalton wasn't in the picture...I'd be game for him ( dirty punssssssssssssss totally intended lol)

Gabby's friend's are amazing! I seriously fell in love with them (and the book more) with how they tried cheering her up. I just LOVE 'John Tucker Must Die'<---It's seriously an amazing movie whenever a guy puts you in a funk! :P
Also Love True Blood...I think Gabby and I might have a falling out since Eric is clearly mines xD.

You know, the big stuff that makes you go OMFG is awesome, but the little familiar stuff in a book, that gives you a ghost of a smile? That's what makes the read that much more worthy. That's the kind of read I love about all <3 And this book just about made everything about it golden!

OH OH...The sexual teasing, the dirty talks...EVERYTHING sexual right down to the actuall sex!! :3

But the ending gosh fucking dammit!!

Amazon Buy Link--->> Karma

~~ 4.5 Stars ~~

Karma is the second book by Charity Ferrell. Now even though this isn't a series, we are introduced to one of the MC in Charity's first book Beneath Our Faults. So knowing that going into Karma, I personally chose to read her debut book first. That way I got the full feel of Gabby. I will say that it is NOT necessary to read Beneath Our Faults first. The story lines are completely separate and you really only get to see who Gabby is in the book. I don't feel that it would confuse or make you feel like you are missing anything if you choose not to read BOF first. Charity does an amazing job of filling in who any of the extra characters are.

I will say that I am glad I stumbled onto Charity's books. I really loved her debut book and I also really enjoyed Karma. I love Charity's writing style, she does a great job of creating stories that suck you in. She adds just enough drama and angst to keep the book flowing and to make you want to continue to turn the page. I will say that I had a hard time putting either of her books down. I read Karma in one day!!! I liked that she added the element of mystery to this story. It kept my mind engaged and had my trying to figure things out along the way. I really only had two minor complaints about the book and why I couldn't give this book 5 stars. One was that this book does end with a Cliffhanger. I personally don't like them, but I am okay with it if I know about it before reading the book. Her debut novel didn't have a cliffhanger, so I had no reason to believe this book would either. I like where the story ended and I will definitely be reading the next book, because I have my theories. The other minor issue was something the Hero does in this story. I can't say anything without it being a spoiler, but it was something I just didn't agree with, even if I understood why it was in the story. With those two things mentioned…I still really enjoyed this book and will continue on with this series and read other books by this author.

Like I said we meet Gabby in Beneath Our Faults. I loved her in that book and was glad to see she got her own story. Gabby was full of vinegar and sass and I LOVED it!!!! She told you what she thought no matter what. She didn't let anyone push her around. With that said she did grow up without a father, so she has some serious daddy issues and she also has a trust issue. She truly believes she is cursed and that Karma is getting her back for the mistakes her mother made. My heart broke for Gabby when she felt she didn't deserve to be happy and that she would never find the love of her life like her friends. I will be interested to see where the author takes this character in the next book, I am just hoping with the way this book ended, she isn't going to turn this story into a love triangle :( As for Dalton….I liked him, but I really had a love/hate relationship with him. I thought he was charming and sweet and definitely knew how to talk dirty, but I also thought he was an ass for things he did in this story. I truly wanted to junk punch him in the end. He really was being kind of stupid!!!! I am hoping that changes in the next book.

It was great to see some of the old characters from the first book (Cora, Lane, Daisy and Keegan) They always add a great element of humor to these stories. Cora and Daisy truly are the best friends ever girl wishes she had at 18. We also got to meet some new characters, some I loved and some I hated. I loved Asher (Gabby's stepbrother) right from the beginning. He was such a sweetheart. I am excited to see what happens with him in the next book. As for the other new characters….the Douglases!!!! They can all rot in H**l for I care. They are all evil, except for Dalton and Leo (Dalton's brother) I truly hope they get what's coming to them by the end of the next book. I know I sound vicious but this family is horrible.

I would definitely recommend this book. I thought it was a fun, and sexy read with some added mystery to it. The next book is due to release in September 2014 so there isn't too long of a wait if you don't like cliffhangers.

ARC copy provided by Charity Ferrell

Charity Ferrell is one of those authors who has potentials to be great but needs to focus more. I liked her first book Beneath Our Faults
you can read the review HERE but this book was less wow.

In Karama , Gabby Taylor is screwed by her bad luck. She has the worst record when it comes to males. So, she tends to stay away from hot men who will at the end-according to her bad luck will end up breaking her heart. < not really the point of the book but though you should know.

I think you should read the first book "Beneath Our Faults" because you'll be lost if not. Gabby was a character in the first book which her mother had an affair with a rich man ending up marrying him after breaking up his marriage. But before you hate her and start calling her names, his wife wasn't happy, the man's family are HORRIBLE and besides Gabby's mother loved him so its a win win. Anyway being the daughter of a "home wrecker" and a "trailer park trash" made the Douglases HATES her with a passion.

The Douglas clan: The worst kind of asshole there is. They are this rich, opportunist family who is willing to pimp out their own children for a business deal.

It's a little complicated and this is why you need to read the first book. Gabby's step-dad is a cool, nice guy for a Douglas , it's his brother and sister in law that needs to be hit, repeatedly. Their son Dalton Douglas is a hot soofabitch! he's an okay guy i guess, personally i didn't like him, Anyway, as a part of the family now, Gabby must attend all of their parties because she doesn't want to leave her mother go lone. All of the above is just a chit chat now here's the actual book:

Gabby Goes to party.
Gets really drunk.
Gives her V card to ... Dalton *Gasps*
Runs away from him.
Gets a job and again *gasp* getting Dalton as a partner
Spends the rest of the books lusting over him
Then a bunch of secrets and stuff comes along to make an actual book

Didn't like it that much, wasn't that good but i also didn't hate it. I liked Gabby is the first book more, not so much in this one. Hated Dalton is a male lead character, LOVED and i mean LOOOVED his cousin and Gabbys stepbrother Asher.

There is a cliffhanger, just so you know

This book had so much potential but the author had to go and ruin it and make Gabby into a mindless idiot. A girl who was raised by a mother who slept around until she finally managed to get one of her married lovers to commit to her. Gabby grew up not knowing who her father is and hearing all the rumors "truths" about the kind of mother she has.
She has stayed away from giving herself to any of the guys she has dated. Until one night and to much champagne she gives it up to her Step-dads nephew. 6 months later she bumps into him at the office her mom makes her work at for the summer.
Dalton didn't appreciate that fact that Gabby run out on him on their one night together. Dalton is a big loser. Afraid of defying his parents he lets them set him up with a job, and a fiance'. Unfortunately he forgot to tell Gabby about his upcoming wedding.

I seriously hate books when the heroin is so infatuated with a guy that they ignore all the warning signals of what a loser they really are. Also there were so many errors in this book. Don't they have beta readers for that? I can understand a few but it was constant. It really sucked that this book ended in a cliff hanger. It wasn't worth it to be more than a one book read.

The story is a 2 person POV. The characters are all strong headed and very independent on them selves. Dalton is this mind blowing hottie with a lot of bad luck nothing worse then what Gabby goes through, so the 2 of them together is just ind blowing wonderful in a great sense. Of course each character has tons of twist and turns to overcome certain things in the story **I'm not trying to ruin it, so yes you'll have to read the story.** I could go on and on about how amazing this story is, But you'll have to take that chance and read it yourself.

Karma was really intense sexy read. I would give it a 4 star. This is the first book in the series and ends with a pretty big cliffy.. yes no HEA! I can't wait for Fighting Karma to come out. This book definitely lives up to its name.. it seems like Karma is smacking everybody in the face in this book. It is told in dual POV's of Dalton and Gabby.

Gabbie is the daughter of a woman known as being a husband stealer and a whore because she had an affair with a married man and he left his wife for her mother. She knew then that her life would never be the same because her step-father was very rich and that isn't what Gabby was used too, and on top of that everyone shunned her because of her mother. One night she is drunk and determined to finally talk to Dalton the mysterious son of her step-fathers brother. But the talking turns into to more and she gives her virginity to Dalton-- who is not so happy that she was a virgin. Six Months go by and Gabbie is starting a new job and the last person she wanted to see again was Dalton but he was there because not only did he work there too but his father owns the company, she dreaded the whole situation.

He pushed forward, his voice raspy. "Is it because I've seen you naked?" My mouth suddenly went dry. "Or because I know what it feels like to be inside you? I know what it feels like to have your hot pussy wrapped around my cock."--DALTON

Gabbie knew it was a bad idea to have one night stand with someone you will see again but she couldn't help herself and she blamed it on being drunk. He did try to call her multiple times over the 6 month's but Gabbie couldn't find a good reason to answer him, but now she has no choice but to confront him and of course the sexual tension is back again. When they are pinned together to work on an assignment she looses all of her self control and decides to let there attraction play out.. after all he knows about her mother and doesn't judge her.

Sure, I liked messing around with guys, but I'd never had anything feel as satisfying as it did with Dalton. I'd never melted at someone's touch; feeling like my body was loosening up and losing control. He was giving me that, what I'd been craving all along. It wasn't only about sex, either. He made me feel special, he made me feel wanted and he liked me for me. Not too many people saw the girl behind the nasty gossip with the mom from the trailer park.-- GABBY

I gripped her wrist, dragging her hand down my face, and pressed my lips into her palm. " I just had my hands in your panties, babe. I don't think it be cool if I was checking her out in front of you. The only naked body I want to see is yours," I said, giving her hand another kiss before releasing it. I wasn't lying; I couldn't wait to get my hands back on that silky skin of hers. I'd never thought about Gabby and me before that night. But after everything she was all I thought about. She was constantly embedded into my brain. Now that I'd had another hit, I needed more.-- DALTON

Dalton tried to get Gabbie out of his head but unfortunately she had worked her way into his heart also. But he has a secret that could crush her.. no it will crush her because there is nothing he can do to change what he has to do. When the secret comes to light and more twists and turns comes out as well will Gabby be able to trust Dalton ever again? Or is there really any point because what he has to do with his life doesn't include her.. and for her Karma is smacking her hard in the face and she just has to escape especially after a another secret that doesn't include Dalton surfaces.

So we wait to see how this all plays out in the next book... and I really need to know soon so please Charity Ferrell get this book to us soon!! Thanks for the great ride!

GENRE: New Adult
THEME: Mature, Romance, And Contemporary
RECEIVED: Tour
3.5 stars

REVIEW:
Karma is definitely a new adult that will have you talking after you finish. I had a major love hate relationship with the story, as the characters would frustrate me and make me happy at the same time. Get ready for an emotional roller coaster for one unlucky girl who is defiantly cursed by Karma.

Karma follows Gabby, an eighteen-year-old girl who is the daughter of a home wreaker… well says, her new extended family. You see her mother married a man who was married at the time of their affair, Gabby is sadly stuck in a sticky situation and even more so when she hooks up with Dalton. Dalton being the son of her new stepfathers brother… Karma much? Gabby’s life if about to get much more complicated with her new job, working along side Dalton and dealing with the new family chaos. But what she isn’t prepared for is her heart being broken and Karma finally getting the best of her.

Gabby is what I would call the most unlucky girl, she not only has to live a life surrounded by a family who doesn’t like her, but also be near the one guy she cant be with. Gabby is only eighteen and not quite sure where her life is taking her, she decides to take a year off before college and work for her stepfathers PR company. Sadly she has to deal with her Stepfathers terrible brother and his irresistible and arrogant son Dalton. Her first client with Dalton is a political nightmare, which brings the two closer and in danger of causing more family drama. Most of the book I was shaking my head at Gabby, she decides to ignore the warning signs and follow her heart into heartbreak. But sometimes you can’t fight what the heart wants.

Dalton is a bit rough around the edges, when the readers first meet him he oozes sexy and forbidden. But it soon changes when his family situation is brought out in the open. I felt bad for the guy most of the time; he has the most horrendous father and is forced into a relationship that he doesn’t want. Luckily it’s with a girl who is pretty cool and gets where he’s coming. But he also makes some major mistakes, which made me want to slap him. Gabby is a tough cookie but I feel he could have handled his feelings a little differently with her. In the end I hope he can redeem his faults and also figure out how to separate the chaos of his family.

Overall I thought this was a great start to a new series, there is so much that happens. Besides the steamy romance, the major focus is on a family that’s full of scandals and power hungry parents. In a way you can call this a Romeo and Juliet like story, with some political issues in the mix. I finished this one in one sitting so it was a quite read with some minor secondary characters, (Asher!) whom I hope to get more on in the next book! After the shocking ending, I’m on the edge of my seat for the second book, as I have to know what Gabby is going to do next! GRRR I hate cliffhangers!

RECOMMENDATION:
This is a new adult novel with sexual content suited for mature readers 18 and up. Fans of Love, In English by Karina Halle and Be With Me by J. Lynn will love I Want It That Way by Ann Aguirre.

"It’s the little things we want. We want attention and when we’re not together, we like to know we’re still on your minds, whether that be random texts or phone calls. We want kisses just because the guy wants to kiss us, not because they want to get laid. We want them to stick up for us no matter what's on the line. We want someone who will fight for us."

All Gabby wants is to find a guy who loves her, but Karma keeps rearing its ugly head - dooming every relationship she finds herself in. Having given up her virginity in high school to Dalton, she has not talked to him since – her decision. It’s not until she starts an internship at the family PR firm that she meets face to face with Dalton again. The spark that had started in high school ignites into a raging inferno as the two get reacquainted again. But……

Dalton is engaged to Eva – a business arrangement made by their parents – something so archaic, I can’t even fathom that happening in this day and age. It seems he has kept this information to himself, waiting for the right time to tell Gabby. He seems to think that he can have his cake and eat it too. Well, Dalton, you are wrong and you are a total POS.

Things heat up as secrets are revealed and lies are uncovered in this captivating story that had me rapidly turning each page wanting to know more! Ms. Ferrell has written a story that immediately sucked me in from the very beginning. Along the way, I laughed, I cried, and I wanted to strangle a few characters. This one does end with a cliffhanger, and I will have to admit, I had a WTF moment because I need to know what happened….not later….NOW! Needless to say, I really enjoyed reading Karma and look forward to the next book written by this very talented author.

4-4.5 it ends in a cliffhanger stars

I don't really know how to review this book. It ends in a Cliffhanger, so I can't tell you if I will like the story or not.

So far, I must say that it's a very interesting one.

Gabby thinks she's cursed. Her reasoning is so bizarre I had to laugh every time she tried to used it as an excuse. Despite this part the development of the story is really good and her family drama is unlike any other I’ve read (which made me read this book even faster).

I also like how Dalton starts to give a new look to his priorities in life. I thought he was a jerk (which he really was), but I felt sorry for him… He was tangled in a family/power/money web and didn’t know to get out of it without destroying what was precious for him.

All I can say is: give this book a shot. However, if you’re like me and HATE cliffhangers, I suggest you wait the following book to be released to start this one…

I enjoyed this book. Thank you Charity for giving me a copy to review.

"You've fucking ruined me. I'll never be able to settle for someone who's not you. You've taken over every thought that runs through my mind."

I didn't really like Dalton and I didn't feel the connection between Gabby and him BUT Asher, well that's a whole different story. Daltons parents were arseholes and that turned me off Dalton a little too. I wanted him to stand up to his father. He treated Dalton like a dog and not his son. Urgh just thinking of him makes me want to punch something!!

I suggest you read Beneath Our Faults first, its not necessary to read before Karma but it would give you more of an insight into the characters in Karma.

I must say Charity has done it again. In her first book Beneath Our Faults I was extremely impressed, it was an amazing book but she has truly out done herself with Karma. The instant I began reading it I fell in love with it. At moments I would get teary or I would laugh and other times I would be down right mad. You immediately get sucked into the characters emotions and you can't help but feel what they are feeling. I feel this is one of the best books I have ever read. I rated the book a 5 because it deserved nothing less. Charity has improved a lot since her first book and I believe she is only going to get better. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone.

Plot was terrible and characters were obnoxious. She apparently must be soooooo beautiful that everyone is falling for her but of course she falls in love witha jerky character. Just overall terrible book. Characters are all train wrecks and none were like able.
