I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's provided a lot of insight on why I am the way I am. Only thing was the use of only the masculine pronoun throughout the book. Being female, it was if putting that the author didn't use both gender pronouns or neutral ones.
This is truly a love letter for INFPs and perhaps those close to them. I am 69 years old and oh how I wish I had known this information years ago. I believe my life would have been so much different and so much better. It is so easy for INFPs to feel there is something wrong with them and to hide themselves as broken or unacceptable. I have spent my entire adult life trying to understand myself and what was --wrong-- with me. My parents were not child people and so crippled me emotionally. My early upbringing was confusing and very difficult for me. I have been to numerous psychologists, studied psychology in collage, and read hundreds of books on psychology and self help, all to little avail. My life has been stunted and crabbed because I was led to believe there was something very wrong with me, and I couldn't be while it effective until I was --fixed --. This book has done more than the accumulated total of everything else I have studied to introduce myself to ME! It is so affirming, and rings so true about what I know to be true about me that, after decades of self doubt, inward searching, and outward misunderstanding, I have come home to myself. If you are an INFP, and especially if you are rather new to the concept, I urge you to read this book. Since we are such a minority, such a rarity, WE must understand OURSELVES, since there is little chance we will be understood by others. If we do not understand ourselves, we will almost certainly dwarf our lives and rob ourselves and the world. But, if we do understand ourselves we have at least the foundation to build the lives we were meant to have. I have my copy on Kindle and have highlighted every single section, breaking down concepts with highlighting to make the salient point stand out. Literally every word of the text has been highlighted in one color or another. This is a book I have read several times and will re-read often; not because the information is obscurely presented (quite the opposite) but because it is often necessary to frequently reacquaint ourselves to ourselves until we REALLY understand -- and rejoice -- in who we are and the gifts we bring to the world.
Great book describing the world of INFPs, one of the rarest personalities. There are many wonderful insights, lessons and ideas that will lead to a greater appreciation of INFPs. This is a healing and inspiring book for the Healers, Mediators, Romantics of the world.
This book was written in a way that just makes me feel great about being an infp. I had to bookmark and highlight a lot of stuff because the author really nailed what an infp is. I'm glad I read this book.
All my life essentially, I thought I was one MBP type, when in truth I was another entirely, and in finding that "other," a whole new door to my self-perception has suddenly been flung wide open, and with it, came this realization of my superpowers! Wow.
