Este libro lo quería desde el que finalizó el primero.
Necesitaba sabe que había pasado entre Connor y Savanna mientras ella estuvo secuestrada y el porqué del desprecio de ella.
La verdad es que había visto reseñas que este libro no era muy buena y entonces ya venía con las expectativas bajas y ocurrió que a pasar de todo me gustó.
Es verdad que no entendí la actitud de Savanna, parecía más una niña mimada que está acostumbrada a que todo suceda como ella quiera que otra cosa.
Connor no le hizo nada malo al contrario, él es un amor de persona es bien adorable de todos los protagonista era el más lindo y se sentía el amor que le tenía a Savanna y como sufría por ella.
Al final si necesité que ella le rogara a él porque era justo y necesario pero buee..
En realidad es un 3.5 pero Connor me gustó mucho.

The h was so damn annoying! I hated her for the majority of the book. She kept pushing the H away and even went on a date with another man to throw in his face. And then the fact that she's pregnant with his children and wouldn't let him be a part of the pregnancy really bothered me. She was just an absolute bitch. She does come around later on but it was too little too late.
The H on the other hand was perfection!! He's been in love with her since high school and is beyond ecstatic to be having babies with her. He was so sweet to her as well and all she thought was how "overbearing" he was, which he was not at all!! If the h had been better this would have been a great book.

DNF at 45%
I love the H and I probably would've continue reading it but the h was too much. I never wanted to punch a pregnant lady before geez and yes I know this fiction but OMG I hate the h with passion.
The h gets kidnapped by the H's pack because the h's pack has a woman wolf and they want her so they want to do a trade the H is in love with the h since they were in school she never noticed him so he takes care of her feeds her and he fights his uncle for her since the uncle is the alpha and the H is the beta of the pack. Well the h goes in to heat and begs the H to fuck her her thoughts are she doesn't care who's touching her or fucking her as long is someone help her relive the hurt that the heat is causing her the H tell her that she's going to regret it and she says "would you rather be one of your cousins do it" like I said she begs him and when the condom breaks she said that she doesn't care that she'll deal with the consequences later on so they fuck and she becomes pregnant he knows she's his mate and wants to take care of her.
His Uncle gives her back to her pack she said that the H used and fucked her and that his fault that she's pregnant mind you she was the one who didn't cared that the condom broke down she was the begging to be fuck so she hates him and her family is trying to make her mate with some om the H buys a house and since she doesn't want to be with him he tells her to move into the house in there she faints and he takes care of her they get into a fight and the H sees a text message from this om asking her on a date he tells her to telling him that she has a mate she gets mad and she text the om agreeing to the date and that's where I DNF and it's not even half of book and this bitch had me so mad. Like I said the H is amazing too bad the h ruined the book for me

-I love shifter romances, and I always weave one or two in between ARCs. When my ARC is a shifter romance, I am in heaven. There was enough detail to the ‘verse and clearly alot going on in it (more on that later), that I was intrigued and wanted to read more about it.
-Savannah and Connor had a difficult relationship, what with his family kidnapping her and then her getting pregnant because she went into heat and Connor was the only one there. For my soap friends, this was a very EJami-type set up, right down to being pregnant with twins. I enjoyed alot of it, but it was also exhausting, because....
-Chuckleheads, both of them, at different times. The plot was dependent on both of them being idiots to what the other meant/needed/said at different points in the story. It’s very soapy, and if you don’t mind a bit of frustration with your romance, it can work.
-Kind of a standalone, but not. I had never read a book in this ‘verse, so while there’s enough information given to the reader to catch them up, I think this would have had more emotional resonance if I had read in order. At some point, there’s a alot of info given regarding Primordials, and I just felt like that came out of left field from what seemed like a fairly straightforward romance up to that point. It’s interesting, but was alot to take in.
Also, It seems that Sav and Connor’s story was featured in at least a book or two before this. I felt like I was missing some scenes to make it all mean a bit more to me, like Connor taking over his pack, that left me wishing there was a bit more meat on these bones.
I enjoyed it, even if I wished I’d read the earlier books for some context. It left me wanting more of this ‘verse. If you’re into this shifter romances, you may like it.

Estuve esperando está historia desde el primer libro... en serio, no miento.
Quería saber de Sav desde el momento en que mencionan su secuestro y cuando conocí a Connor, bueno. Ahí estuve perdida.
Creo que conocer a ambos fue justo como debía ser y eliminó todas las lagunas que tenía en su historia.
No voy q decir que es la mejor historia porque hasta ahora Josh sigue y seguirá siendo mi favorito. Pero Connor no se queda atrás.
Mi problema fue Savannah, agggggg que mujer tan más indecisa, ya lo quería un momento cuando al otro se portaba como una perr* sin corazón, aja. No me gustó eso, en nada!!!
En fin, una historia bonita, sencilla y para pasar el rato pero sin más.

Plot and Story Line
Now I was super excited to read this story and I thought their story would never be written!!! Since it started with the ending of the first book of the series. We see in this story more of Connor and Savannah. But in the previous books, we see on the surface of who Connor really is so it was quite enlightening to get an exclusive view of him inside and out and I loved him even more than I did previously. In fact, despite what Savannah has gone through I had issues with her. Her treatment of Connor didn't really make much sense to me. Because I felt like she was very bitter at times and lashed out on Connor in some not so nice ways. Yes Connor made a mistake, but it wasn't an unforgivable one. Eventually though Savannah gets over it, and they get some happy times together. And boy this book rocked, because not only do we get a solid love story---but more shenanigans from the primordials. (shapeshifters from before the ice age) And these men are worse than kids at a candy store. They are attempting to try to become accustomed to everything in the modern world (and they are ancient ones) so even seeing them try out getting an ice cream cone---was hilarious. Gave me barrels of laughs for days just thinking about that scene. Because honestly these men are adorable and cute even if they are a bit outrageous in their alphaness.

Definitely HOT!! Look at those abs----man they did good with this model for sure. Not sure how I feel about the only undies as clothing---different for sure.

Alpha Ever After es el quinto libro de la serie de Jessica Sims llamada Midnight Liaisons y tiene como protagonistas a Connor y Savannah, personajes que conocemos en los libros anteriores.
Esta saga es dificil de describir, en algunos aspectos en un poco ... incoherente y no hablo solo de la parte sobrenatural, aun asi tiene algo que te engancha, quizas porque son lecturas ligeras, perfectas para cuando ningun libro consigue captar tu atencion.
Esta novela es agil de leer, entretenida y en algunas partes muy graciosa, si te gusta leer historias de fantasia o de licantropos estoy segura de que disfrutaras este libro y sino al menos pasaras un rato distraida.

Ni bueno ni malo
Vamos a ver hemos escuchado y leído sobre estos personajes desde el inicio de la saga, en algunos casos te da la intriga de saber como va a ser la historia completa. Hasta que la lees.
Anteriormente no me molestaba tanto Savannah nuestra “heroína”, pero en este libro llegas a descubrir que es una malcriada, mimada, necia e inmadura. Culpa de todo lo existente a Connor cuando los 2 estuvieron desde el inicio en el enredo, el intenta protegerla, cuidarla y alejarla de todos mientras la secuestraron realmente lo intento, hasta intento calmarla a ella en el proceso del celo pero simplemente ella se salió con la suya. Si él pudo hacer más pero se entiende el trasfondo de los lideres de manada y el no llevarles la contraria, se entiende que lo apalearon repetidas veces.
Pero no para ella es más fácil culpar de todo a él, algo de lo que más me molesta es que no hablan, ella en ningún momento le dice que le molesta o porque se enoja con él, por ello el queda en la nada sin saber que esta haciendo mal porque es su forma de ser lo dicen bastante los gatos y los lobos son distintos por ello el sigue con el patrón, si uno no habla no puedes esperar que otros adivinen, que sí fue lo que le toco a él hacer adivinar por que se ponía de inmadura e infantil por todo.
Él comienza a cumplirle todos los caprichos solo para tener a su compañera cerca que hasta había llegado a negarle a sus hijos en algún punto, le compra una casa se la arregla completamente y ella ni gracias dice solo la acepta, ella durante todo el libro tuvo 0 consideración en él o en el entorno que el nació y se crio todo era un yo, yo , yo podre yo que me impusieron las cosas, pobre yo.
Notaran que realmente no disfrute este libro siento que Connor era el que hacia todo por la relación y ella nada más esperaba a que todo se haga como ella quiere porque 1 ella es mujer, 2 esta embarazada, 3 es un gato.
Bajo todo esto encontré un punto bueno los primordiales, los cuales fueron los que en algunos momentos me hacían querer seguir leyendo para saber sobre ellos. Seria una muy inteligente decisión escribir una saga sobre ellos o por lo menos unos libros, para saber más ver como se adaptan, las mujeres que son sus compañeras, conocer mas sobres sus animales y acéptenlo lo de la pizza es divertido.

I have no idea how she does it, but this is like one of the 1% pnr that I can still read. She is just that good, but then I like all her books.
The Anderson pack is bad, but Connor is good and he has been in love with a cat forever. Savannah does not see him, silly Savannah, look at the hot wolf! But then the Andersons are assholes, trust me, assholes! As the kidnap her to get an exchange for a wolf.
And that is how Connor and Savannah meet again. Her a captive, him a guard...an angry guard. A guard that will protect her to death. Aww Connor, I do not mind you going all alpha, she really should be protected.
The drama, oh girl, you be stupid. I would have forgiven him.
Awwww Connor, he watches and wants her, but wants her to choose. Awwww.
And yes we all know she will eventually get that he is the best mate for her, but the road there is fun to watch. He becomes a little less alpha when he understand that a cat can not be pushed, a cat will do whatever the f a cat wants ;)

Me he puesto de propósito de año nuevo hacer reseñas, así que allá voyyyy
He leído en varias reseñas que no soportaban a la prota y que el prota era dulce. Bueno, pues yo a quien no soporto es a él. Me parece un controlador, y un obsesionado. Va a una cafetería y le compra no sé cuantas cosas a la chica porque no sabe que querrá; en casa le sirve leche, jugo y café porque tampoco sabe que querrá. ¿No es más fácil que le pregunte a ella que quiere? ¿O que ella misma pida en la cafetería? Digo, lo normal XD
Se queja de que ella no lo deje entrar, pero oye, solo han estado juntos una vez, le ocultó cierta cosa, y dirige el clan que estuvo implicado en su secuestro. Bueno, pues veo normal que ella se queje y no confíe, que él se habrá pegado todo los años que quiera enamorado de ella (no sé cómo) pero ella no lo conocía y de repente va a tener a sus hijos.
Savannah sí me gustó, entendí porque no quería estar con él, y los Primordiales son geniales jaja
El libro se lee muy rápido y es entretenido, no mi favorito pero tampoco de los peores.

I was more amused by the antics of the primordials than anything else. Part of that is because I felt like Savannah was right in her anger of her situation. She didn't ask to be kidnapped, nor to go into heat while they had her. But another part of me felt sorry for Connor, he had loved Savannah for a long time and did what he could to protect her while the pack had her. I didn't like that Connor used that situation to manipulate Savannah though.

A billion years later we finally get Conner and Savannah's story, lol.
I really enjoyed this story, even if Sav tested my nerves at the start of the book. One thing I really liked was seeing Connor deal with how he had to approach her and get what he wanted since cats are not like dogs…. I was thrilled when he finally got it because I was really close to DNF'ing the book.
Watching him figure out how to "deal with" the primordials was priceless. I really look forward to reading more about the primordials. Too bad the book where they were introduced, I think that is it anyway, was the only book of the series I didn't like very much at all.

Opinion- She was a bitch to him and constantly changed her mind. Begged him to sleep with her when he didn't want to in case she changed her mind, said she wouldn't, but did after it was done and blamed him. He tried his hardest to make her life easier and was supper in love with her. He was sweet.

I really enjoyed this one. Savannah and Conner's story had been hinted at throughout the series and I think I only read some of the other stories because I wanted to get to this one. And it didn't disappoint. We got to see their whole journey from the events which happened in book 1 right up until present day. It's one of my favourite stories in the series.
It's romantic and I liked the characters a lot. But it's not all that deep. Kind of like the literary equivalent of popcorn. Fun at the time and you enjoyed it but it's not satisfying or fulfilling.

Por fin puedo terminar esta serie, no estaba tan mal; y si no mal recuerdo, creo que les dí muy buena calificación en su momento... pero ya no.
Parte de la culpa es que el género ya no es de mis favoritos, así que leer este tipo de libros no es tan entretenido como antes. Y además: realmente no me agradaba la protagonista.
Estoy muy muy feliz de por fin terminarla, y olvidarme de ella. :D

The majority of this book was a 1 star read for me. Savannah was over the top horrible until almost the very end. At the end of the book, she was slightly less obnoxious, so that is why I ended up giving the book 2 Stars. I loved Connor, he was fabulous through out the story and really deserved a better mate. To be honest, I can’t believe I finished the story. I would not recommend.

The hero (wolf shifter) and heroine (cougar shifter) spend the entire book fighting. There's a couple of scenes with OM because heroine is avoiding the hero like her life depends on it. Hero is annoying too so I kinda get it but he has good intentions.

More of a 3.5 but not a 4 because as much as I LOVED Conner I just couldn't handle Savannah at times, I was so frustrated with her! But still, I adore them as a couple and family :)

Ich kenne mittlerweile einige Gestaltwandler Serien und Bücher, wirklich nur selten haben es welche geschafft mich wirklich zu fesseln. Eine der besten Serien ist die der Honeybadgers. Nun habe ich also die Gelegenheit gehabt dieses Buch hier zu lesen und ich hatte bisher noch nicht das Vergnügen mit dieser Autorin, daher ging ich etwas skeptisch ans Lesen.
Aber ich muss ehrlich sagen, dies war eine Geschichte die es mir leicht machte einen Einstieg zu finden und auch dem Plot zu folgen und ihn zu verstehen. Ich mochte die Connor auf Anhieb, denn er war einfach ein toller Kerl. Jemand der seine Chance nutzen wollte als sie sich ihm bot, weil er schon so lange darauf gewartet und gehofft hatte. Das Savannah nicht unbedingt seine Einstellung teilen konnte, war teilweise nachvollziehbar, glaubt sie doch ihn noch gar nicht zu kennen. Wusste nichts von seiner heimlichen jahrelangen Liebe zu ihr. Auch sein Alphagehabe machte es nicht unbedingt leichter, denn er wusste ja warum er so war, sie jedoch nicht und als Katze ist sie nun mal eigensinnig und selbstständig. Das war absolut nachvollziehbar. Warum sie sich jedoch so lange sträubte konnte ich nicht genau nachvollziehen. War absolut witzig war in der Geschichte, waren die Urzeitgestaltwandler und ihre Kapriolen und wie sie alle um sich herum auf Trab gehalten haben. Bitte mehr davon, das war göttlich.
Einige Fragen blieben jedoch für mich offen. Wo war das alte Alphamännchen plötzlich hin und warum? Was ist da geschehen und was hatte die Allianz damit zu tun? Ging es da um Savannah oder ist er und der andere Wolf aus einem anderen Grund nicht mehr da auf einmal?
Wie hat Connor das Rudel übernommen und wie haben sie anfangs reagiert? Das sind Dinge auf die ich gern noch eine Antwort gehabt hätte aber in dem Buch nicht finden konnte. Ansonsten ist diese Geschichte wirklich lesenwert und amüsant. Ich mag die Art wie Connor versuch Sav zu überlisten und sich in ihrem Leben unabkömmlich zu machen. Der Cut im Epilog ist allerdings auch wieder so eine Sache… sie haben die Kinder ohne einen Arzt zur Welt gebracht bzw. Connor hat den Arzt rausgeworfen gehabt, erfährt man. Aber bitte wie??? Genau das wäre es doch auch noch wert gewesen erzählt zu werden oder? Ach man, in diesem Buch ist vieles goldrichtig und dann wieder fehlt mir einfach so einiges, wo ich mich frage warum wird das nicht berichtet, denn es wäre sehr interessant und sicher auch amüsant genau darüber mehr zu erfahren. Ebenso die Entführung des Mädchens durch einen der Urzeitgestaltwandler.
Daher habe ich mich nur für 4 Sterne entschieden aber das Buch bekommt dennoch eine tolle Leseempfehlung von mir. Denn es war gut geschrieben mit interessanten Charakteren und jeder Menge Witz.

If you have been following/reading the Midnight Liaisons series then you have probably (just like me) been waiting for Connor and Savannah’s love story. And this month it finally came out! I was so happy about that. After reading about them throughout the series, it was lovely reading their story.
The story starts 6 months back when Savannah was kidnapped by the Anderson pack (werewolves). We finally learn what happened that week that Savannah was held captive by them. This wouldn’t have been a big problem if not for the fact that Savannah could go into heat every moment! Something that no shapeshifter woman wants to do surrounded by strange men!! Luckily for Savannah there’s Connor, a good man, who wants to protect her against his own pack. At the time Connor is not the alpha of the Anderson pack but beta which means that he has to follow orders. Even orders that he doesn’t want to follow. Luckily Savannah’s captivity only last a week but during that week Savannah goes into heat and becomes pregnant with Connor’s twins.
Something that Savannah hasn’t forgiving Connor, even after 6 months.
Connor has always had a sweet spot for Savannah, from the first time he saw her in high school but Savannah never knew he existed. And deep in his heart Connor knew that he was never good enough for her. Not only was she a were-cougar but his werewolf pack had a really bad reputation amongst the other packs. And then many years later, he found Savannah, much to his shock, tied to a bed in a house that belonged to this pack family. He tried to get her free but being a beta wolf and no alpha made it very hard and at the end the only way he could help her was to prevent his pack to found out that Savannah was going into heat. It was never Connor’s intention to make Savannah pregnant but the truth is that he’s very happy about it. Connor wants nothing more than to start a family with the woman that he has loved for so long.
Sadly, Savannah doesn’t feel the same way. She’s happy about the babies but she is very mad with their daddy! During the last few months some things has changed, one of those things is that Connor is now the alpha of the Anderson pack and everyone knows that alpha’s can be very bossy and Connor is no exception!! But if there’s one thing that cat’s don’t like, it’s a controlling, bossy mate. So that means that every time they meet, they fight.
Connor doesn’t know what to do anymore, the more he tries to help Savannah the angrier she becomes with him. What does she wants from him? But then one day he realizes that if he really wants a chance with her, he must respect her cat feelings and her decisions. He must try to treat her like his partner and not like a submissive wolf packmate! As soon as he starts this new approach, things start to get better between them. But just when Connor thinks that he has almost convince Savannah to be his mate, Savannah gets kidnapped again! Can Connor save her before something happens with her and their babies?!! Or has he lost his Savannah forever?
‘Alpha ever after’ is a lovely read. You don’t only have the couple Savannah and Connor but also the other couples and the different packs in this story. It was a fun read and I was very happy to see that Connor and Savannah finally got their happily ever after. There was however a little part of me that though that Connor was very sweet to Savannah and that she was pushing him away a little too much. Yes, his pack kidnapped her but he really tried to help her and yes, he made her pregnant when she was in heat but he really did his best to show her that he would be a good mate to her and that he was really happy with their babies. Luckily Savannah saw this too and from there on I enjoyed the story more.

As a longterm fan of this series, I (like many other fans, I suspect) have been curious about Savannah and Connor’s story for a long time. It’s a tricky one, because on the one hand Connor has been portrayed as a pretty decent guy throughout the series, while Savannah at times comes across as kind of harsh on him. However, she’s allowed to be, given the whole kidnapping issue. It’s a messy situation and I was curious as to how it would all be solved.
I love Connor. I can’t help it. He’s a good guy, hampered at the beginning by being beta to a really nasty werewolf, trying his hardest to do his best by Savannah without being able to let her go. Unfortunately he’s also loved her since forever, so when she tells him the mating heat is hurting her, well, he’s just trying to help… Ish. Okay, I’ll admit I still find it a bit hard to reconcile the lovely Connor with the circumstances around the mating heat. There are not a lot of choices being thrown around, unless they’re horrible ones. The closest I can get is by thinking that Connor was driven as much by hormones as Savannah was, so he’s not entirely in control either. It’s not perfect, but it’s about as good as I can think it.
As for Savannah… I don’t like her as much as I like Connor, and there are times when she acts pretty childishly just for the hell of it. But she definitely has a point with the way Connor bosses her about, especially as she isn’t one of his wolves. There is a definite culture class between the two of them and the different ways cougars and wolves think and live their lives. I really liked how subtly these were portrayed, to the point where they both struggle at times to understand where the other one is coming from. They’re so opposed in many ways that I frequently wondered how this could possibly be resolved happily.
Thank goodness for Connor. He tries so hard. He’s sweet and strong and giving and so happy about the babies. He’s got plenty of his own troubles going on, yet all he really wants is Savannah and the babies. Once he sorts his head out a bit, I loved how their relationship progresses, especially the way he makes her feel beautiful and does all he can to help her. Despite their bad beginning, they somehow manage to make it all really adorable in a way I could believe, given the shifter instincts and hormones involved.
Away from these two, there are plenty of hints and glimpses of the other characters in the series, yet if you’re new to all of this, I think the important points are explained well enough to stop you getting too lost. As someone already a fan of this series, I enjoyed seeing so many of the others again as well as finally getting some answers about Connor and Savannah’s relationship.
If you’re looking for a complicated shifter read with some fiery heat, plenty of funny moments and a surprisingly sweet romance given its beginnings, then give this a go. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was a fitting resolution to this long-running storyline. Overall, a good addition to the series – I look forward to where everything heads next, especially as those Primordials seem primed to take a starring role.

This is an exciting entry to the Midnight Liaisons series; this is book 5 in the series and it feels just as fresh and new as if this was the 1st book in the series. This is Connor and Savannah’s story which explains how they mated and ended up together.
The story starts with Savannah being kidnapped after a failed date with her boyfriend who she just ended the relationship with. She was kidnapped by a rival pack called The Andersons- they are wolves- while there she is tended to by Conner who really sort of saved her from the “attentions:” from the alpha and his goons. Savannah from the Russell pack and is a were cougar & she is in heat and Connor and her end up sleeping together and after they have relations.
Conner has always liked and had strong feelings for Savannah and he is completely disgusted by his pack’s behavior. He couldn’t believe they were this stupid to do this to her and their pack.. He wouldn’t have done this and he thinks they may have ruined any chances he could have with her. Just when he thinks he may have start to win her over, Then suddenly his mate is “released” back to her pack. Well Connor is going to watch out for her but Savannah .
Savannah found herself pregnant after that time she spent with Connor. She is conflicted as to how she wants to move forward with Connor –does she let him back in her life, let him be in his children’s life? She is in so conflicted and hurt. Savannah is very spirited and independent but there is a kernel of hurt due to how things proceeded between them. Suddenly there is Connor and he is actively back in her life and letting her know he isn’t going anywhere and that he is going to fight for their relationship. I loved how he made it known to all how he was there and not going anywhere.
There are many twists and turns in this story. It was a fantastic paranormal romantic story where Connor and Savannah definitely were a great MC hero & heroine.

Und es kommt noch schlimmer: Beim Verlassen des Kinos wird Savannah von einem Werwolfsrudel entführt. Es könnte besser für sie laufen.
Connor, Werwolf und Mitglied der Anderson-Sippe, liebt Savannah seit er sie das erste Mal gesehen hat. Aber leider ist sie eine Nummer zu groß für ihn. Als attraktive Werpuma-Frau nimmt sie ihn überhaupt nicht wahr. Bis der Anführer seines Rudels sie entführen lässt - und nur Connor ihr helfen kann.

Mit diesen Buch, geht die Midnight Liasions Reihe in die 5. Reihe. Zum Glück kann man die Reihe unabhängig voneinander lesen, denn die anderen Bänder habe ich leider bisher noch nicht gelesen.
Der Schreibstil ist Geschmackssache, es nicht einfacher aber in Ordnung und angenehm. Geschrieben wird dieser Band aus der Ich-Perspektive, abwechselnd aus der Sicht von Connor und Savannah. Einfach zu folgen, ist die Geschichte nicht, aber man gewöhnt sich daran auch wenn es etwas länger dauert.
Im Band 5 geht es um Savannah, eine Werpuma, die aufgrund ihrer Abstammung eine Familie haben will sowie Heiraten möchte, dies erlebt sie, jedoch mit einigen Anlaufschwierigkeiten und sie erlebt nicht nur das Schöne wie Liebe und Humor, sondern auch das negative, die Entführung, die Spannung und Dramatik. Als eine Nichtgewöhnliche Gestaltenwandlergeschichte, war es doch mal was anders und sehr aufschlussreich. Dazu darf man natürlich die erotische Spannung zwischen Savannah und Connor, die nicht zu überladen ist aber doch vorkommt.

Wer Geschichten mit einer guten Mischung aus Fantasy, Romantik und Erotik macht, der sollte dieses Buch auf jeden Fall lesen.
