An awesome book that spoiled me in childhood. A must have for your children, it's educational and cultural while being entertaining in the best way possible. I love this book, I'd sacrifice myself to ensure the books never disappeared out of thin air or something like that. I love rereading it as I get older and older. I am now older than Nellie could ever be in that beautiful collection of her stories.
I enjoyed almost all the Australian girl books though this one was not as good as the Grace or Alice books. Definitely recommend though for anyone reading these series!
Even though this is a children's book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nellie is such a strong willed, young woman who had an amazing will to live and fought for what she believed in. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series. Penny Matthews did excellent work with this book.
