I had up my previous bio for years! It was nice and all, and gave details of my life. But it was so structured! And I’m kinda not. Because of that, I’ve decided to change it to something that really gives you a glimpse into who I am. Is that cool? K, good. So, here goes:

I’m a Bay Area girl. Cali is in my blood! I moved to Vegas in 2017 (No, I wasn’t following the Raiders!) to see how another way of life would be, after my only kid . . . the love of my life . . . decided he was joining the Marines. Can you believe that?! Sigh. Wait, deep sigh! I know some parents await the day for their kids to leave, not this Mama. That was my ace, my bestie in male form. I had to hit the reset button. But here I am. He’s thriving. I’m ‘trying’ to thrive. Lol! No, but really. This relocation was good because I’ve never lived away from home. So, I needed to grow, cultivate a little. It’s working for now.

I consider myself a novelist. And that’s because a novelist doesn’t just write in one genre. For the most part, I write #InterracialRomance, with a primary focus on #BWWM, as my leads. However, I have written a few novels that fell comfortably in the #AfricanAmericanFiction realm, showcasing some #BlackLove. In short, I love building stories. I like to say that I “spin #Sexy and #Suspense into a single web.” The two dynamics have to co-exist in my stories, or I’m bored. And you know if the author is bored with their own work, there’s a problem! Trust me, I’ve done plenty of rewrites when that’s happened.

On my literary journey, I just hope to always write the stories that women find relatable. Characters who are strong, but vulnerable when they need to be. Family-focused, and intelligent. Basically, mirror images of myself. Ironically, writing these characters, have helped me discover things about myself along the way. I think that’s why I write as often as I do. It’s almost like peeling back layers of me as I go. And to stop that process, kind of hits the pause button on me . . . my life . . . my existence. I have to be a moving machine at all times. Does that get stressful? Absolutely. But is it rewarding and are there many teachable moments? Absolutely!

Oh so Entertaining and Amazing

WOW! This' is so full of suspense and romance. I really enjoying these characters they are so amazing and great together. When you add in the drama along with tons of emotions plus some intriguing twists and turns then you have a story that's full of feelings and so captivating that it's awesome and the suspense with the couple is great and on point. Rush and Alika are now married and they have twins along with a daughter. Their relationship is loads of love but let the drama began. I must say this is truly fantastic story and I'm so happy that I'm a fan of this author. So if you enjoy a story that has awesome characters with great chemistry with such excellent and thrilling romance that will bring a smile to your face because their relationship which is such a delight and pleasurable experience then this is the story, but let's not forget that even the secondary characters are marvelous.There is also the drama which is off the charts and will keep you turning pages. But overall this story is well worth the sleepless night or two because I couldn't put my reader away until the end. I'm excited about the next story for I will be all over it the minute I have it. 3.5 stars.

I didn’t care for this book as much as the first two books. This book seemed to be more about everyone else and Alika and Rush started to feel like side characters in their own story. I did not care one bit about Bryson and Erika’s budding romance, just about the clues the found in the case. Love Siobhan but again too much of her POV for my liking. Also, I know we’re supposed to feel bad about what happens to Janae but I was really indifferent. She was bad enough for me to be “happy” and she wasn’t redeemed enough for me to be sad. I kind of just didn’t care and was mostly glad there wouldn’t be more baby mama drama. I know that sounds bad but...it’s the truth.

On a brighter note, the overall plot was actually interesting! I wanted to get answers to all the mysteries, I just didn’t care for all the other POVs.

While I may not have cared for the all the POVs, I can say the story was still entertaining, Alika and Rush are still adorable, and the story was well written. If you’ve been reading this series definitely still check this book out to continue the story.

"Rapture 3": A BWWM Alpha Male Romance by Perri Forrest

My Views....

All I can say is I loved this series....the characters are simply off the chart...well developed, portrayed and oh so believable that you will not be able to put this one down until the end...only left wanting more! The reader will be able to feel all of the emotions from its intriguness, excitement, danger, heartbreak, romance [passionate loving chemistry], as this author delivers to us a mystery, suspense, serial killer, with twist and turns and even the humor in one amazing well told story. To name a few of the characters ..from Rush, Alika, Tracie, Jamie, Greg, Jenae, Michaela, Miss Glenda, Siobhan, Carl, Jamie to Quinton to name a few will give the reader one awesome good HEA read.A lot of these characters have their own story giving the reader wow of a read. This was definitely one of those reads that was truly about the 'family that had it all to deal with from pasted issues, betrayal, forgiveness and the unconditional love that was had for one another.' All that is left for me to say is that this author really knows how to bring her characters to life where you will only be left wanting more and since there is one more series 'Rapture 4' I am more than sure we are in another wonderful read and learning even more about this family that seems to have quite a blend. I definitively would recommend this read but also I will say the reader will need to start with 'Rapture,' then move on the 'Rapture 2' and then this one 'Rapture 3' to fully understand how well this story has been put together and delivered so very well to the reader.

I Knew He was No Good!

Although this third edition was still primarily about Alike and Rush, Is Forrest did enough to ensure we got vested into many of the secondary characters.
Sooo, without providing a spoiler. I knew he was No good. I just felt it from his initial introduction. I just didn't know how deceitful and evil he truly was.
Great job in threading so much intriguing this Love Story. I knew those two would make beautiful babies. But now I'm interested in finding out more about Alika's parents. I hope that will be answered in future books.

COMPLETELY WHAT I HOPE FOR IN A SERIES!!!!

I was uncertain about going beyond Rapture Book 2. I'm so glad I did. Book 3 more than delivered. I only hesitated briefly because of my limited income. New like not being within my budget tend month. It's so worth it. I was so pleased with it that I had to shift around enough money to get Book 4 as well and I can't wait to get started. !ike, right now!!! Thank you Pedro you're now in my top 3.

I adore Alikka and Rush!! They are a perfect couple and I'm glad that they found one another. The whole family was sent from above to protect her and be her family. It was good to see the Cambridge family coming together. This was a beautiful romance and I loved everything about this book.

Getting better and better after each book...
Lot of twists ... and the serial killer was a nice touch . As for Laurie, the jury is still out...I despise that woman and I hope she gets what she deserves.

I am going to be all the way honest as I am known to do whenever I post a review LOL. By the end of the book I was all set to give Ms. Forrest 4 stars(actually leaning towards 4.5 but you know Amazon doesn't have that feature LOL) but what changed that for me was the Author's note at the end of the story. Well let me not get ahead of myself here. This book is the continuation of the dynamic series that started with Alika, Rush, Jamie, Siobhan, Trace, Gigi, and company. To read parts 1 & 2 and see the level of growth with both Alika and Rush was a very pleasant thing to see unfold. Alika, came to Rush as a very naive young lady looking for a whisper of something that just wasn't there in the man Curtis that she met on the internet. For her to grow from that debacle and become the full grown highly intelligent young lady that we saw emerge in part 3 only speaks to the quality of Ms. Forrest's pen game. Rush who admittedly was a hot headed ladies man at the beginning of the series turned into a focused young man who only had eyes for one woman, Alika. He proved time and time again that it is okay to be a celebrated athlete with women throwing themselves at you, but in the midst of it all remain a faithful man to the woman who unerringly came through like a world wind and upended his entire world. Poor Jamie. She clearly was a product of her demented and self absorbed mother and her narcissistic father. Their father had absolutely no redeeming qualities but in his own way upon his demise he showed that he did indeed love his son, Rush. Overall this was a GREAT story!! It flowed from beginning to end and this is one BWWM series that I know will remain in my library for me to pull out and re-read over and over again. Now as far as my original ranking. I was left with a sense of loose ends when Ms. Forrest introduced the possibility of Alika's mother being out in the world searching for her. I was also left with a feeling of incompleteness with the whole relationship that seemed to spring forth between Jamie and Quinton. For all intents and purposes while both Tracie and Quinton professed that they weren't doing anything but keeping time with one another their actions didn't relay this sentiment. I actually thought that upon Tracie's relocation that the two of them would be able to stop playing games and take the relationship to the next level. To say that I was knocked off my kiester when it was revealed that Jamie and Quinton were together would really have to be an understatement. The other thing that felt unresolved for me was the Carl and Siobhan situation. We were all set for Siobhan to meet Carl's daughter but then we didn't hear anything more about this. We saw the dynamics and sparks that flew upon Carl and Rush's initial interaction so I can only surmise that there would be at the very least some type of emotional scene that would take place between Carl, Siobhan and Carl's daughter. Lastly I think that we were a little cheated with the whole Laurie, Silas dynamic. We see that Rush decided to let them continue to live to see another day but we weren't able to see why or what transpired apart from them popping up for a surprise visit to find out what was going on. This however for me wasn't a huge deal and while I would say that I'm curious to know how that scene would have played out it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the storyline. So Ms. Forrest GREAT JOB!!! Now that I know that there will be a part 4 to hopefully address all of my concerns I can only rank this book on the quality of this segment of the series. In other words this was DEFINITELY In my opinion a 5 star read. In this day and age when BWWM books are a dime a dozen some just not that good I can now count you as one of my go-to authors to know without a shadow of a doubt that I'm going to get a good quality read!!!!!

Fantastic

This is the best so far in the series. I fall deeper and deeper in love with Rush. Hope Tracie finds her special someone. Not liking Quinton right now, but at least she seems to have a letter else head. On to part 4!

They are back Rush and Alika and expecting thier first child, but it seems like someone is out for Rush's mom. When we last left this couple Rush found out he had a child and his father and sister knew and did not tell him. Rush cut ties with Lance and Jamie, Jamie was crushed. His mom Siobhan (Gia) and she wants back into her son life. Alika is having to baby mama Janae is her place and let her know she is not going anywhere.

Well after the drama settles, Janae is murdered. As they look to find out who murder Janae someone is looking to uncover the fact that Gia murdered Lance and Jamie tries to get back into Rush's good graces.

This books segways into the final book of this story, a family member from Alika's past is trying to contact her. I am not certain but I believe somehow Carl (Siobhan's lover) is connected some how. I could be wrong.

I cannot wait to read the last book in this series.

Just when you thought Rush Cambridge couldn't get any better...He does. Rapture 3 was full of intrigue, twists and turns and a whole lot of loving. Rapture 3 finds Rush and Alika enjoying married bliss and Alika's pregnancy, all the while adjusting to their blended family with Rush's daughter Michaela. During this time Rush's mother is also experiencing unexpected surprises in her own life, with the arrival of a past love and the long arm of the law threatening to snatch her chance at a happily ever after away one more time. Add to that unexpected deaths and a crazed serial killer on the loose and once again it is up to Rush to protect his family at all costs and boy does he do it masterfully. If you're looking for another novel full of danger, excitement, passionate love, and unexpected surprises then you need to add Rapture 3 to your list of TBR books. 5 stars.

Rapture 3

Rush was a man that overcame his rejection, strugglers in live to become a loving husband, father, son and brother to the family he loved and adored with all his heart. I loved the fact that he put his woman first by showing her respect, love and protection. Alike was strong woman and withstood her grounds. The fact that they protected and loved each was a plus. What I really liked about this story was the suspense it held. The twist it brought about. It had you wondering who the real killer was. Overall this was a good read. The fact that you could pick right up and follow along and know the characters from the previous book makes for a good story teller.

In book three of the Rapture series we get to know more about Rush´s mother, Siobian. Her background story is full of twist and turns and we finally get to know what happened the day she had to leave Rush with his father. An old beau of her resurfaces out of nowhere and the two of them make a cute couple. Rush and Alika are still going strong as ever, really love those two´s chemistry! We also get to know more about the other supporting characters as well. Boy oh boy, Miss Perri you really took us on ride with all the surprises you threw our way. Loved all of it!!!

Great Book

Ms. Forrest, has done it again released a great story for all to read. She tied up all the loose in in Rush life. I was so happy for his mom to find peace after so many years. I was shocked that Jamie boyfriend was a serial killer, didn't see that coming, but that made the story so much better. He got his in the end. That , what I love about Ms. Forrest book (Justice). You get to know happen to the bad guy. I so looking forward to Rapture 4.

OMG!! DO I LOVE ME SOME RUSH!!! WHAT!!!! I stayed up to finish this, lol. I love Rush and Alika's relationship, each are flawed but their love is so pure. The connection is mindboggling. I wanted to bust Ms. Glenda in the head for real. So happy for Mama Siobhan finding her peace. Quinton and Tracie need to get it together. Jamie is annoying. Can't wait for the next installment and see what Alika's Mom is up to. Perri, I am forever a fan, keep doing what you do!!!!

Damn!!!

The Cambridge siblings just can't seem to catch a break. I'm happy for Rush mom to finally have her HEA. I loved Alika she played no games with Ms. Glenda. I can't wait for the finale. This was a good read it had a mixture of everything from a serial killer down to unexpected hook ups you will not be disappointed.

Brilliantly written story,a must read!

This was such a page turner. I loved every part of the book, my thirst for more has been slightly satisfied by Perri's announcement that book 4 is coming soon! This story is fast pacing and very enjoyable, I'd like to recommend Perri Forrest to all IR readers of romance books she's up there as one of my favourite authors.

I read the first two books in this series and loved the love between Alika and Hunter. I anxiously awaited for book 3. Perri Forrest did NOT disappoint me! And then threw me for a loop. Won't say what it is because I don't want to spoil it. All I can say is ENJOY!

Wow!

Well there were definitely some twists in this book that I wasn't expecting!!! As usual though perri truly delivered and kept me all in with this story line. Can't wait to read a Rapture 4.
