Reinhardt and Brigitte visit a town that is being shaken down by a gang. Seeing that, Reinhardt takes his armor out and deals with the problem. I liked the art style in this. It has a sort of paper-cutout feel to it.

Rewritten review; old review incorporated into new

In the second issue of Overwatch Digital Comics, we follow Reinhardt in his own mini adventure called Dragon Slayer. The years haven’t been kind to Reinhardt or his armour in this mini comic but he still hasn’t given up his vision of a better world for everyone. When Reinhardt stumbles across a village that’s being threatened by a violent gang named the Dragons, he picks up his hammer and does what any true knight in shining armour would; he protects those that cannot protect themselves.

It is not obvious at first what Reinhardt stands for, until the comic begins. He cannot bear to see this simple village lost without a hope, and so he steps up with a short burst of justice and fairness. It is exactly what Reinhardt stands for. He brings the idea of hope and safety, and gives them back to a small village who had lost them previously.

Reading Reinhardt fighting for this village he never knew before felt like an honour. This is what he stands for. This is the kind of man he is. He is fair. He is just. And he’s a damn good hero.

His character design is another thing I really like from the comics. It’s canon from the game, and sweet as hell to see. The hints at his backstory and sweet little tit bits that make the reader wonder about more and it’s just all well rounded.

Again, the artwork is amazing. Bengal did yet another amazing job with it, and he really has a fluency to run with whatever art form is needed. Whether that’s because it was an eleven page comic he could spend his time on, or he needed to spend more time on it because it was an eleven page comic, I don’t know, but Bengal has done absolute wonders for the Digital Comic. Bengal’s illustrations in just the two current stories have looked absolutely amazing, and its more his illustrations I’m looking more forward to, than anything else about this series.

Overwatch #2 Dragon Slayer is a digital comic book that tells the reader a bit about Reinhardt, a old battle worn soldier that goes up against a gang called the dragons. This is just a comic short, seems to be just to introduce the reader to the character. Great images and easy to read fonts. Easy to follow along.

Awesome!

Just as amazing as the first one. (I feel like I'm going to say that a lot, so I'm going to stop.) Reinhardt is a badass! Great art, great action, great heart.

A good comic about reinheart. It really shows how reinheart is always willing to fight for the good of himself and others and will never give up.

Reinhardt for the Win

The book was well written with great understanding for the main protagonist and his reasons for who he his. The art was simple but stunning. My breath literally was caught in my chest when the panel of Reinhardt was in the air bringing his hammer down to ring out some justice.

Cool read.

I choose this rating because the artwork is good you can follow the action and sea where it is going. The same can be said about the writing. I also like the story and am looking forward to reading the next issue. I would recommend this book and so far this series to anyone. Lets see what issue # 3 and beyond holds ?

Reinhardt reminds me of Geralt of Rivia from Witcher 1-3.
I love how strong and determined his character is.

Fantasy And SF

This second issue shows a little more of this world which seems to have elements of fantasy and science fiction combined together.

I lobe how this goes into a time before Winston called overwatch back. I just think a heroic story of Reinhardt is great. Nice

Short form storytelling is a fascinating medium that should have more interaction in the comics community. I can't think of a better brand than Overwatch to test that out. (Although can you imagine if there were weekly 10 page comics of Half Life, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, Metroid, or Metal Gear Solid? Shit would be lit). 🥳

This was wholesome shit. Just a quick little story between Reindhardt and Bridget taking on a dragon themed gang. Moved fast, felt big and ended on a buttery note.

These are quick fun and even if you're not that big into the games (I think it's fine) this is about the most digestible lore I've ever seen. It ain't dense or overly indulgent. It's concise storytelling that doesn't waste your time.
