White picket fence and a family? Not my style.

Killian

I live life on my own terms. That means alone. I like my solitude, and that's not going to change.

A woman like Lily Grant? Yeah, right. She talks too much and has too many opinions. And that kid of hers might be more of a smart-mouth than she is.

If I were a better man, I’d walk away. But once I taste her sweet lips, I want to possess every inch of her.

The woman is mine. Even if she doesn’t know it.

Lily

Killian Saint is wild and untamed, gruff and solitary, an arrogant loner from a family that people in West Bend say is no good.

I should know better. A man like Killian should have no part of my life, not with a kid to raise and a bakery to run.

Not even if the way his hands feel, rough against my skin, sets every part of my body on fire. Not even if the dirty things he whispers into my ear leave me so on edge I can’t think about anything but his lips on mine.

Everything about Killian is wrong.

The problem is, nothing has ever felt so right.

This is the LAST BOOK in the West Bend Saints Series! It can be read as a standalone but does refer to things that happen in earlier books, so it's best if read after the first three books. So...I've included copies of the first three books in the series with your copy of Killian for a limited time! This new release edition of Killian ALSO contains bonus epilogues for all of the other books in the series, so you can catch up with Elias and River, Silas and Tempest, and Luke and Autumn years later! Enjoy!

Overall Opinion: This was a low drama, sexy read. It doesn't get deep into the characters and storyline, but if what your looking for is something light with a lot of steam -- this is a good one for you. I had some big issues with the h, but I did like the H a good bit to counteract it. I thought it was enjoyable for what it was...so it's getting 3 "just ok" stars.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Lily and Killian's story. They meet when they literally bump into one another the general store. Sparks fly, and when Killian shows up at Lily's coffee/cupcakery the sparks fly even more. Once Killian has his sights set on Lily, she can't seem to get rid of him as he starts his relentless pursuit. After some hesitation and dancing around each other, they start seeing each other and fall in love. There is some work drama, some laugh out loud moments, a little family drama, and a whole lot of sexy times...and they get a HEA ending.

POV: This alternated between Lily and Killian's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I was thrown off for a while until I realized that my % on the ebook was inaccurate due to the fact that it included 3 more full length books. Just FYI - it ends at 32%. I never skimmed, and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No. Instalust? Yes.

H rating: 4 stars. Killian. I liked him. He was broody alpha in the best way. I loved his interactions with the h's daughter and his (soon to be) niece.

h rating: 2 stars. Lily. I had some moments of really not liking her. She kind of grated on my nerves. She was uptight a lot, and I felt like she overreacted to people trying to help her. I understand not wanting to take hand-outs, it she took it to another level.

Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Moderate/high. I felt like there was too much sex tbh. The scenes were hot, but I felt like it relied on the sex a little to much for their connection.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Safe sex: Yes. Condoms are used until they have a discussion about birth control and std status. No mention of previous practices.

OW/OM drama: No

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Mild

Closure: This had good closure with a jump ahead chapter and a jump ahead epilogue with a HEA ending.

How I got it: It was part of my kindle unlimited subscription.

Safety: Safe

I really enjoyed this book! It was sweet, sexy and funny. Lily is a single mom to a little girl. She owns bakery and literally runs right into Killian. Killian is a perfect book boyfriend. His interactions with Lily's daughter were great! I build up and sexual tension between Lily and Killian was perfect and super steamy. I loved this book and can't wait to read what this author writes next!

It’s killing me not to write a full detailed review on this one, my fellow romance book-loving friends, but I just don’t have the time, not with an incredible long list of ARCs awaiting me. When I first saw this on KU though, I just couldn’t help myself. I simply had to read it.

Having enjoyed the previous books in this series, Killian was calling me to see him get his own HEA. He really surprised me, folks. This sexy former oil rigger, now independently wealthy, had one of the sexiest/dirtiest talking, bad boy mouths I’ve ever come across, along with an equally “oh, so sweet” good guy hero demeanor, especially when it came to the heroine and her seven year old daughter.

What did I like the most? The back and forth banter between the main couple is high on the list. You see, as a true romantic at heart, I need to feel an emotional connection, not just see a physical one. Also, this keeps to himself, ruggedly handsome self proclaimed “never going to get married and have children” hero pretty much gets swept off his feet the moment he lays eyes on Lily, the sassy, even more reluctant to let love blind her again leading lady, who was great, as well. She got his heart pumping and his eyes open to what his brothers’ have been telling him he’s been missing, folks. How he immediately interacted/took to Lily’s daughter was heart melting.

What wasn’t so great? Well, by 50%, I noticed the OTT lengthy, very graphic smexy scenes felt like they were hijacking the storyline. I found myself wishing they were reigned in to make room for more romantic drama/plot. When I finally got my wish, it was quite predictable and non-dramatic. It definitely emphasized Lily was too illogical (even a little on the crazy side) when it came to accepting help and shooting her mouth off without thinking first. With the epilogue ending nine years later with them at it again (aka OTT smexy scene), I felt even more compelled to mention to potential readers, though this has a sweet romantic aspect, it weighs VERY heavily on the erotic side.

Romance Safety Gang:

After becoming a widow and raising her daughter, Lily Grant knew that she would never trust another man again. It wasn't that she didn't want to be with a man, but her marriage was a facade that she realized after the fact. Now her sole focus is on her daughter Chloe and building her bakery. So when Lily literally gets bumped into by Killian Saint, her temper flares adn she knows she is looking at a man who seems to go out of his way to unnerve her.

Killian is a recluse, he moved back home but has little interest in spending time in town or with people for that matter. He grew up in a town who sneered and gossiped about his family, he has no interest in getting close to anyone else. Lily though peaks his interest like no other and she makes it clear she is not interested, he doesn't believe her though and plans to find out how much she does want him. The fact that she has a kid though gives Killian pause, can a man who is used to being alone become a part of something he is not sure he wants?

This was a delightful treat. Funny, entertaining and full of sizzle. I liked that KIllian is aloof and he has one moment in Lily's cafe that is hilarious. Now I need to go back to start from the beginning which looks like a wonderful series.

OMG this book was SO good!

Killian was HILARIOUS. The banter between him and Lily was funny as hell. Killian was really the perfect hero. He was sweet, and sexy, and funny. I just fell in love with him. I enjoyed Lily also, but not to the same extent. She came off sometimes a bit too OTT bitchy and shrill. Not just towards Killian, but also Opal. I wanted someone to smack her upside the head a few times. She didn't ruin the book at all for me, but I did lower my rating a half star because of her. It also had a really sweet epilogue.

An all around enjoyable read!

4.0 RATING- Total guilty pleasure. Mainly the dirty talking hero sealed the deal for me. The author included the first three books in the series along with this book so I went ahead and bought it while it was listed at $0.99 even though I originally borrowed through Kindle Unlimited. I'm not sure when I'll go back and read the first three books as the blurbs aren't totally pulling me but eventually I'll get around to it.

Note: At the time this review was posted, this book was available to borrow through Amazon's Kindle Unlimited program.

Please don't tell Luke, but I do believe Killian has edged him out as my favorite Saint brother!
Oh lord this man...he was growly, and gruff, he was dominate, he was possessive, and he was funny and lovable. He's everything I was not expecting!

Killian and Lily are both kind of outcasts, she because she's still fairly new in town and no one knows much about her history, and he because, well because he's one of the Saint brothers. Nothing about these 2 should make them work as a couple- he's a "Neandrethal" recluse, she's a single working mother with a daughter to take care of. But when they're together sparks fly and they can't deny the attraction, or the growing feelings.

I loved the banter between the Killian and Lily, especially the things that would come out of his mouth. These 2 were the perfect complement for each other. Lily gave as good as she got- she stood up to Killian and gave his attitude right back to him. This is another case where I love seeing this dominate, alpha male get his "comeuppance" from an equally strong woman.

This was such a great story to end this series with, but I'm sad that it has ended.

Enjoyable, but nothing amazing. Light read.

The issue I have is the last two books in the series is nothing like the first two. Book three (Luke's) is the conclusion of the big plot we saw in the first books. Very underwhelming. Ended really odd and quickly. It doesn't make sense to me.

Killian and Luke literally has the same plot. Girl owns successful business, has a little girl with a crimial ex (who isn't in the picture), guy helps girl with business. Girl is mad at guy from first meet even though they are both in instant lust.

I did enjoy the series for the most part.

The best in the series and so much fun. Although this book had no awful shootings or mysterious moments it was just sexy banter and "foreplay" between two stubborn sexy people. I loved Killian at work in the bakery. And without reading the other books in the series you might wonder about the family dynamics but it was a minor issue...just read the earlier books and catch up. I loved how the series ended as it was perfect.

PS. Cover was Rugby player and Model, Stuart Reardon and a perfect Killian.

I really enjoyed the final Saint brother's story. Killian was a gruff and broody mountain man who just needed the right woman and kid to bring out the softie in him. I liked that Lily was self sufficient and wasn't looking for, nor did she want, a man complicating her life. The banter between these two was funny. Fighting is foreplay! This story was low on drama and was a great way to bring this series to a close. I also loved the new epilogue on all the other brothers' stories. It was nice to get an updated peek into their lives.

Read about 20% of the book, but..meh...not for me.
Killian was funny, although just a little bit too arrogant for my liking.
Unfortunately Lily just annoyed me. She was acting like a stuck up b!tch.

It really annoyed me when she was being rude towards Killian when he was helping her at the shop. That was just too ungrateful and immature. Thats when I decided to stop wasting precious reading time.

This was a nice way to end the series. This was a very light erotica, perfect series for a summer beach read or a cuddle by the fire. Nothing to heavy that you couldn't read in public. Some very funny parts mixed with some beautiful parents and of course falling in love. You can't help but love Killian right along with all the Saint brothers.

Totally loved this book. I've been a fan of the Saints since the beginning, but Killian killed it for the rest. Fell in love with him from the word go and never looked back. This series will be missed.

Sweet ending to the series.

Killian is a sweet guy..love his tongue in cheek comments. Dirty talking alpha male. Lily is a tough cookies too. Some bumps in the road for these two but they work it out.

Like how all the brothers get their HEAs.

“Are you following me? Is this like a Ted Bundy thing or something? You spill coffee on a girl and follow her out to her car so you can bring her to your remote mountain cabin and chop her into pieces with an axe?”
“You got me. Now my dastardly plan is ruined. How did you know I have a remote cabin?”
“The lack of basic social skills gives it away.”

Ha!! The banter between Killian and Lily in this book was priceless! I’m not sure which one was more stubborn but they certainly provided endless entertainment while reading this book! They both had smart mouths on them and were equally stubborn which resulted in so many funny moments. I read the other three West Bend Saints books last year and was anxiously awaiting the story of the mysterious eldest brother, Killian. I have to say, as much as I enjoyed the other books, I think this one was my favorite! With the mystery surrounding what was going on in West Bend behind us, this book was really able to focus just on Killian and Lily and I have to say, I really loved it. The story was sweet, sexy, funny and a really great way to round out the series!

Lily Grant moved to West Bend to start fresh with her daughter. She runs her own bakery and is doing her best to not pay attention to the vicious gossip mill that is inherent in a small town like West Bend. Killian Saint is the eldest of the infamous Saint brothers and after having escaped West Bend for many years, he’s back and is perfectly content living in his secluded cabin. That is until he literally runs into Lily one day in town (seriously, their first meeting was epic!), for some reason he just can’t stay away but he knows that he has no business pursuing her, especially given the fact that she had a kid. Lily also agrees that Killian is not the right kind of guy for her, but she also finds it impossible to stay away. Can these two find middle ground and make it work? Or will their stubborn streaks ruin their chance at happiness?

“Goddamn it, woman,” he growls. His mouth is near my ear, and I whimper as he grabs my ponytail. “Tell me you want this. I have to know you want it.”

I was looking back at my review of Luke and my last comment in that review was that I had a feeling that Killian was the ‘good boy’ out of the family, in some ways I think he was but he definitely had the trademark Saint alpha thing going for him and he was certainly a dirty talker (with the goods to back it up) like his brothers too! He was also a bit of a recluse and definitely a gruff and brooding ‘mountain man’, I really loved seeing this tough an mysterious guy trying to navigate the uncharted waters of pursuing a woman and one with a 7 year old child no less! At the onset when I read the blurb, I couldn’t help but note the similarities to Luke (with him falling for a single mom who runs her own business) but that’s about where the similarities end. But I did love that Lily was a single mom, guys falling for a woman and her kid is one of my favorite things in a book. Add in the fact that the guy has no clue what to do with kids, and the story is gold as far as I’m concerned! There’s nothing quite like a big mountain of a man playing dress up and reading about princesses to melt your heart!

“I didn’t say thank you.”
“You said ‘thank you very much’ actually.”
“That was sarcasm. Sorry if it was too subtle for you.”
“I accept your apology as well,” I say graciously.
“That was not an apology.”
“Well, it wasn’t a great apology. But you’ll get better at it.”

I really liked Lily too, she was not a pushover and was a good mom to Chloe. Sometimes her stubborn streak got on my nerves (like really, is it so bad to accept help every now and again?) but I got where she was coming from. Having been what she went through before moving to West Bend, I can understand why she was so hesitant to trust. I did enjoy seeing her let down her walls though and Killian barged his way in! Oh and I can’t forget to mention Opal! She was the best secondary character and I loved that randy old woman! She added such comedy and actually offered sage advice to Lily. I also loved seeing all the other Saint boys and their families. I loved the few heart to hearts that Killian had with Luke and the twins. It was good to see the family coming back together again!

I thought this book was definitely worth the wait and a great way to wrap up the series! It was a lot of fun and was a fresh story while also capturing the familiar feelings of the other books in the series. I also loved the bonus of the new epilogues in the other books, definitely go and check those out! It was great getting a glimpse further into the future of all the Saint boys!

3.75 stars. This was a good book! This was Killian and Lilly's story. Lilly is a single mom, who had a bad marriage which ended when her husband was killed. She has been on her own for 8 years, with all of her focus going to being a mother. She recently moved into town and is now running her own bakery. She meets Killian when they bump into each other (literally) at the grocery store and sparks fly. They hate-flirt each other and banter flies between them. Killian is really interested in Lilly, even though she resists because she feels like she should focus on her daughter. Killian goes so far as to start working at her bakery, because it is super busy and Lilly needs help, even though she doesn't officially hire him. But she does relent to his pursuit and they begin a tentative relationship. Chloe, Lilly's daughter, and Killian got along really well and it was sweet to see them all start to fall in love with each other. There are a few bumps in the road (nosy townpeople, problems with the bakery, etc.), but everything turns out the way it should.

This was my second book by Sabrina Paige, but I liked this one much better than the other one (Prick, which I almost dnfed). I really liked Killian and Lilly. Killian was really sweet and hot. Lilly was a little more reluctant to start a relationship than I would have liked, but it worked ok in the end. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship. They were both kind of clueless on how to be in a relationship and it was funny to see them both stumble through. Chloe was cute and funny. The other side characters were well written and had depth too. There was very little angst. Overall, this was a sweet and funny story. I really want to go back and read the other books in this series now too.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Killian Saint is by far my favorite of the Saint clan. His alpha possessiveness just thrilled me to my core. He's kind of a jerk and will tell you like it is. He will also antagonize you so he can see just how much he can get away with. He also has a caring side of him that he only lets special people see. Lily Grant is his special someone.

Lily has recently moved from Chicago to West Bend Colorado do get away from her dead husbands memories, and to be closer to her Mom and Dad. Lily is fulfilling her dream of owning a bakery. Her sweets are amazing and her coffee is to die for. However one day she has a collision with a gruff bearded man, who she thinks is a drunk. Little does Lily know, she has just collided with her destiny.

I cannot give enough praises about this book. While it is the 4th in the series, you do not need to read the other books to read this one. I'm going to warn you though, once you read about a West Bend Saint, you are going to want them all.

Ms. Paige has captivated me again with her writing. She has me wishing that there would be more of the Saints, but I felt that this book wrapped up the series nicely. I will miss my Saint's, and maybe one day we will be reading about their children

Killian is hot!

Everything about Killian is wrong. The problem is nothing has ever felt so right.

Killian By Sabrina Paige is Hot with a capital H!.

So if you like a male character who is like Me Man she woman and goes in with his gun blazing then Killian is your guy.

I love this series and all the Saint brothers each with their own unique story and the woman who finally tames them.

Killian is no exception the grumpiest and also more Alpha of the brothers, I liked his character and you knew exactly where he was at with no complexity to him at all.

Lily was a down to earth kind of woman who wasn't afraid to speak her mind and with a 7 year old daughter in tow and a backstory that brought her to West bend she is no push over for Killian well not in the beginning anyway.

It's an explosive beginning, a love hate relationship and also an insta lust for both of them .

Lots of humorous, lol moments, hot, very hot intimate moments and a great read.

Another great read from Sabrina paige, loved it.

Enjoyable

I think Killian's book was the most enjoyable to read out of all the Saint brothers. Rough tough funny and all kinds of sexy. I give this book four stars because it was a fun quick read and had me laughing so many times because of the friction between the two main characters it just seemed at times Killian had no filter lol. There was not much of a story line in this book like there was in the other saint brothers books where they talk about there parents and the events that follow the death of there father. Just I guy who unexpectedly falls in love.
What I didn't like about the book was how much sex was involved. I felt like the book was mostly sex. I would have been fine with just one sex part.
Also lily good god up in heaven was this women too much at times. She was so stubborn I just couldn't deal. I just wanted to reach on the book and strangle her..... But maybe that's what Sabrina Paige was going for lol.
If your looking for a quick hot read with lots of dirty sex the Saint brothers are the ones for you.
FYI this book contains ALL of the Saint brothers stories with a bonus epilog for everyone.

OMG!!! I am in heaven...a happy lady now that I have read Killian...this one was just as sweet, sexy, steamy and OMG funny, as the rest of the Saint brothers books. I honestly don't know how she does it, but Sabrina Paige creates male characters that you just want to both punch in the face and at the same time, drag them (cavewoman style) to your own bedroom to have your wicked way with them.
Killian might be considered one of the town bad-boys, but he steps up to the plate when it matters most, and single mom Lily gets a special helping of his care when she needs it the most (both in and out of the bedroom). This was an awesome story and you get some more glimpses into the settled down lives of his brothers as well as Killian's journey as he goes from "boy to man". Lily also learns a thing or two about trust and letting the right one "in"...and is at times schooled by her own daughter. Perfection...with some interesting supporting characters.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

The whole setting is very similar to Luke's book, but Killian is an even bigger jerk.

What I don't like about this book is that Killian knows he is being a jerk, but he likes to make Lily mad because she looks hot when angry. He gets into her life, starts taking over, making changes, and even when he has good intentions, he goes about it with the worst approach, he never apologizes for what he does and solves everything with sex.

I know that some people find Killian really hot and love his approach to solving problems, but I don't like how even when she spells it for him and he recognizes that he made a mistake, what he does is do everything all over again and then telling her that yes, he knows she doesn't like when he undermines her and acts like he knows better than her, and that yes, he knows he is doing it again, he just doesn't care, and then they have sex.

The only reason I don't give it one star is because when we are reading it from Killians' point of view, we see a kind of sweet side of him.

This is the fourth book in the West Bend Saints series and it's also the first one I've read. I'm a sucker for a single mom meeting a hot, possessive alpha male but I really did enjoy it so I probably will read the first three also. Lily Grant moved to West Bend, Colorado to escape her tragic and humiliating past in Chicago. She's a widow with a seven year old daughter named Chloe and she bought a bakery when she moved to town. She's adjusting to life in a small town but she's not too happy with the gossip going around about why she moved to town. Some say she's on the run from the police while others are saying she's in witness protection program. She meets a tall, gorgeous man with a beard named Killian Saint who steam rolls his way into her life. I enjoyed this book but at times I wanted to punch Lily in the face because she was so frigging stubborn.

I am not sure if we are meant to take some of the situations in the book as comic but I was extremely upset by them. I have no respect for a business owner/boss that receives no respect from her employees. It seemed like she was a little girl who had no control over her business and personal life. (I would have fired her employees...being friends does not allow employees the right to disrespect and disregard the wishes of their employers. They should be smarter than that.)

Killian is the perfect hero; sexy, protective but has a sense of humor and a good heart. Lily is a beautiful, independent woman whose daughter is her highest priority. I loved the banter between them and even though there were subjects they didn't see eye to eye on, they still treated each other with love and respect. This story is sexy-hot, fun and a true romance.

I purchased Killian because it included all 4 of the Saint bros stories and I hadn't read them yet. They did not disappoint! The brothers are all hot, strong, demanding men who find love in the midst of mysterious, suspenseful, and highly entertaining storylines. The naughty scenes are H-O-T and there's a good amount of humor thrown in for good measure. Loved these!

Great ending to a fun series! I'm going to miss the Saint Brothers. This one didn't have the mystery/suspense factor of the other three books. Lighter read with some really funny moments. Killian and Lily were a stubborn and fun couple. Loved Opal as a supporting character.
