Not a bad intro to Robert Penn Warren, though, as one might expect it's dry as toast. It also occasionally lapses into the trap of critical analysis--where explanation, detached from the concrete action and image of the narrative, becomes incomprehensible. And of course, I'm the only one that's read it, apparently.
