Alexis James was the first of Joshua’s daughters to put two and two together, figuring out that her father’s sudden interest in new ranch hands had less to do with work on the Broken J Ranch and more to do with his daughter’s futures. Serious and thoughtful she lives for learning and her twin sister, but when Issy quickly marries one of the brothers who arrive to help grow wheat on the Wyoming prairie she finds herself set adrift and confused by this thing called love. Reginald Ogden is a simple farmer with quiet ways and a keen, analytical mind but will he be able to use reason to explain the strange feelings building in his heart or will he need a little help? Sometimes a mutual loneliness and shared interest adds up to more than simple friendship.

Things become confusing for a time after that as the friends think too much and try to find their way, but they get a little help along the way. There are changes, weddings and babies in the air at the Broken J.
Just finished Lexi's story. As usual, Danni Roan has written another amazing story in The Cattleman's Daughters series with another page-turnng story. I truly enjoyed watching Reg and Lexi find their logical, scientific way in realizing they are I love while discovering there isn't a scientific answer to that age-old question. They learn the heart knows what it wants. Wonderful story again, Ms. Roan. Thank you for taking us back through time when life was often hard for many, but true love brought each couple through whatever life threw at them those sometimes difficult times to overcome obstacles and find their way through them.
I thought the mixed chronology worked well in this story. Very creative storytelling. Focuses on two people who are thinkers and reasoners. They had to be tricked into discovering love.
It is book five, so there are a lot of characters to become refamiliarized with. I kept getting some of the characters confused, especially the main character because it was constant back and forth between her full name and nickname. My reading style brain just didn't grasp it well.
Alexi a bright women who loves to learn and read. Reg a inquisitive man who loves books as much as learning. The only problem with these two they both sometimes over think things Lexi loves her friendship with Reg but not sure if there could be Romance between them. Reg thinks things through first. Reg is so involved thinking there friendship through he is not sure if there attraction is strong enough too be love. Check this book out too see if Reg and Lexi find Love and Marry or will there be heartache for them both
Alexis, Lexi has always been the thinker in the family. When the Ogden brothers, Taylor and Reginald, Reggie came to the ranch, the twins Isabella and Alexis knew why. Matchmaking at its best. Isabella and Taylor hit it off right away, but Lexi and Reggie were becoming just friends. After an incident with some outlaws at the ranch, they got to spend more time alone together. They are both thinkers and determine to examine everything thoroughly. Will their brains finally listen to their hearts.
Alexis James is a serious and thoughtful young woman. She lives for learning, and right now she is focused on learning about love. She is quite confused about how her twin sister fell so fast and and married a young man in a heartbeat! Now what is it about a kiss that can lead to this adventure so quickly! She decides to conduct an experiment and goes about it straightforward... but will it backfire on her? Time will tell! This is a fun and beautiful story. A must read!
Reggie and his brother, Taylor come from a small farm in Pennsylvania to plant wheat on the ranch. Lexi was the fifth gentleman's daughter. Reg's brother, Taylor married Lexi's twin sister Bella. Will Reg and Lexi follow their hearts and find their way to their happily ever after? You will enjoy reading this book.
Another one of the cattleman's daughters is ready for love, at least everyone but the young lady knows it. Does the kiss mean something or is it just a scientific problem?
The fifth daughter of the cattleman is a thinker. She’s a twin and best friends with her twins husbands brother. Is there something more there, will she stop thinking so much and listen to her heart?
As always the story was great. The editing on this one was better but still needs work. Perspective and prospective are not the same thing. Still punctuation issues, randomly placed commas, and things like that.
The story told how the family worked together and how each person had a job to do and did it, also how everything is not learned in books but sometimes learned in the heart.
I have been really enjoying this series because it highlights how different people are in their relationships and how they can all work together for a common good for all no matter their backgrounds. ✨✨✨🔮👍 Enjoy 💜
Book 5 was just as wonderful as the other books. So full of family love and love for husband and wife and it does have to do with God! All the books are enjoyable. A must read series!
A cattle drive, a mother coming for a visit, and a new baby on the way. What more could you want. This series is on Kindle unlimited. Sit back and enjoy.
Alexis is book five by Danni Roan. It's a good book with an interesting twist to a sweet romance. Reg and Alexis story shows it's not all bells and whistles.
I love this series with it's crazy mixed family and the Houdini mule! For some reason this couple just really touched me and I enjoyed the story immensely. 💖
I enjoyed this fifth book the Cattleman's Daughters. The last four were just as good. The idea behind finding husband's for each daughter was an unusual one but it worked. I enjoyed Alexis's and Reginald's story and their HEA. Already downloaded book six. JudyE.
Alexis is book five of a series, but you can easily read this as a stand-alone. I have a few of the other stories in this series and now look forward to reading them. I really enjoyed the characters and love how the ranch life really shines in the story. It is obvious Danni knows about this life and wants to share it with you in a natural and compelling way.
My favorite part of the book is the "experiment" I thought it was so incredibly sweet and yet funny. The character of Alexis is intelligent and questioning, I love how she just is who she is, no matter where she's placed. Though I didn't immediately love Reg, it wasn't because of how he was written, just that he didn't click with me until the story was about half done, but I loved the family and the way they all interact which makes me want to read the rest of the series.
This is the 5th in a series and it is just as good as the first four. I loved how each daughter in the series is so different and yet find love in their own way.
