I got the audio book version of this for free and am leaving this review of my honest thoughts of it. The book was part of Authors Direct, and it sadly doesnt tell me which chapter is which which i found would have been super helpful had I wanted to check certain chapters later on in case I needed this book, I do not know if that is the case with any other form of audio books however so I can not say for sure.Just in case though, "Track 5" is chapter 1.

This book would definitely come in handy for someone who wants to know about when they should help their pet at home, how to help them and if a vet is needed or if they need to do something before heading to the vet so that they do not have to worry as much. Its a great read to learn as well if you are thinking or wanting to be in the pet profession.

There is way too much information in the book to give a thorough review on what it all says. However I think any pet owner should want to own this book in one way or another, but personally I would suggest either the e-book or physical book so that you can find the right chapters should you wish to look things up at a later date.

The author dives deep into what you need and can do for your pets.
The narrator (who is the author) does a good job reading this book and trying to convey what all is written.

This book is very informative. I gave it 5 stars because even though it's not a book I couldn't stop listening to it was something that may very well help pet owners and their pets. I think the audio would be good to play while you're preforming the task. However, I suggest getting a print copy or kindle copy one with text and hopefully some pictures to go with the narration. I am not sure if all audio platforms list them by tracks or if they list by chapters but familiarizing yourself between the print copy and audio version would be worth it in an emergency. I did find somethings very useful and plan to implement a first aid kit and cheat sheet inside based off the information provided in the audio. Narrator did a good job it's just more the subject matter doesn't allow for dramatic characters so I rated it 4.

I travel a lot with my dogs and on a recent trip to the beach we narrowly averted what would have been a very painful jellyfish encounter. It wasn't until that very moment that I realized how woefully unprepared I was for such a situation. This book has a lot of great information in it, so much so that it has become a part of my dogs first aid kit.

This book covers a multitude of situations your dog or cat can get into or seem to be suffering from and has recommendations of things to try to help correct the ailment or suggests if the situation is one that should have immediate veterinarian attention. This book helps me confidently try to care for my boys without having to run to the vets immediately about every little thing that seems to occur.

I was able to use the information in this book today. I was able to read some information about heat stroke really quick, take her temperature and know that she needed to see the veterinarian ASAP. It also told me which spots on her body to focus on cooling first - invaluable as far as I'm concerned.

This is one of the best First-Aid books for Dogs and Cats that I have found. I purchased this book to use as a reference.

I am a foster parent for Shamrock Pets and this book has helped me time and time again.

I recommend purchasing a copy to keep in your library for a reference. You can refer to this book anytime unlike veterinarian offices that have strict hours.

This book needs to be in hands of every dog & cat owner! We received it as a gift and I use it to help find possible problems before I get to the vet office, well written and really easy to apply. It has taught me a lot. This book helps fix problems before they start, as well as help on extreme cases.

Such an excellent first aid book for pet owners - super-well-organized, so you can find the info you need to help your pet IMMEDIATELY in a crisis, and very clear and easy to understand. I especially like how it tells you which conditions/injuries require an immediate call to the vet, and how to judge with other conditions/injuries whether to call the vet or not.

A book you never want to have to use, but are happy to have just in case. First aid using what's at hand--you don't search for a bandage, or an eye-dropper or stretcher. The book tells you how to save the pet's life using items in your kitchen and household.
