From New York Times Bestseller, Kendall Ryan, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

My tempting, and very alpha friend Sterling Quinn is someone I consider off-limits.

It's not just that we're friends, he's also a cocky, confident, and British, which means he's a walking aphrodisiac.

But lately he's been giving me the look. You know the one. When he thinks I'm not paying attention, and his gaze lingers for too long.

And then we start working together, and that's when the sexual tension between us gets so thick, I want to hack through it with a machete. I want to make all these deep feelings I've harbored for him disappear, because there's no way this can end well.

The lines between business and pleasure become irrevocably blurred, and I'm stuck between a rock, and Sterling's very, very hard place.

Rather than keep a level head about our growing attraction, Sterling wants to go all in, showing me just how explosive we can be together.

But I've been around long enough to know that this British bad boy is more than my heart can handle. I'm not about to be cast aside like yesterday's underwear when he's done having fun.

Sterling’s never been told no, and he's not about to put his ego aside and play by my rules. But I never thought he'd fight so dirty.

*This is a spin-off from the HITCHED series, but can be read as a standalone.

TOP 5 REASONS The Fix Up IS RIDONKULOUS.

description

#5. If I Said Cam’s TSTL, Would You Hold It Against Me?

If Camryn Palmer does stupid shit, that makes her stupid, right? That’s just, like… LOGIC! I mean, the chick thinks with her vajayjay, a neutered pit-bull in a unicorn suit has higher self-esteem, and then there’s this little gem:

"When a bitchy waitress messed up my order twice, then suggested I was hard to please, David laughed. Sterling would’ve jumped to my defense, maybe even stormed out of the restaurant without tipping just to prove a point. David ate his sandwich while I sulked, waiting for my omelet to be remade. The jerk didn’t even offer me any of his fries." ~ Cam

description

I’M RIGHT. ADMIT IT.

#4. Still Shallow After All These Years.

If there’s a Listopia for “Heroes We’d Like To Throat Punch”, put Stirling Quinn's name on it. Deep dish pizza has more depth then this guy. When he’s not manwhoreing around, he’s calling breasts “cantaloupes”, bragging about his office “quickies”, and ejaculating in women’s hair (as a sign of respect).

description

YUP!

#3. You’d Think That People Would Have Had Enough Of Awkward Sex Talk. I Look Around Me And I See It Isn’t So. (Oh no!)

Behold…

EXHIBIT A: “I’m Sterling Fucking Quinn… in addition to a rather nice appendage, knickers melt when I open my mouth. I grew up in England, and my British accent is like lube. It makes girls wet instantly” ~ Stirling

description

EXHIBIT B: “ ‘You may not realize this, sweetheart, but once upon a time, I wanted to hook up with you.’
‘And you don’t anymore.’ I watch him.
He pushes his hands into his hair. ‘I’d bend you over this rubbish bin right now if you’d let me.’
I laugh. Not only does he call a trash can a rubbish bin, which is adorable, but this sexy man just told me he finds me attractive.” ~ Stirling & Cam

description

AND NO! 10 a.m. IS NOT TOO EARLY FOR A COCKTAIL.

#2. You Say “British” & I Say “Shut The Fuck Up!”

In 266 e-pages:

# Times Cam says the word “British” (&/or derivatives thereof): 17
# Times Stirling says the word “British” (&/or derivatives thereof): 5
# Times others says the word “British” (&/or derivatives thereof): 5
# Times Stirling says stupid, Britishy sounding shit:

description

I GET IT. HE’S BRITISH. NEXT!

#1. Enough Is Enough... (I can’t go on).

When Stirling reveals he pays for his ailing mother’s medical care, I thought: “That’s crazy, surely the woman has insurance. But… I’ll overlook it.” When Stirling claims the monthly cost of dementia medication is 2x his condo payment, I thought: “That’s unlikely, given the high price of Manhattan real estate. But… I’ll overlook it.” When Cam’s boss says she was paid "a small fortune” to organize Stirling’s bride search, I thought: “That’s greedy, considering the bitch is married to Stirling’s multimillionaire BFF and that money could have been spent on Stirling’s mother. But… whatever! I’ll overlook it.” And when everyone treats Cam like “The Help” instead of a potential Mrs. Quinn, I thought: “That’s bullshit! But… I’ll overlook it.”

But… some things I simply CANNOT overlook.

EXHIBIT A: “We order the same thing. Steak, cooked medium-well" ~ Cam

description

Medium-well? I can overlook a lot of ridonkulous shit, but ruining an expensive cut of beef isn’t one of them.

EXHIBIT B: “I grab the last slice of pizza and scurry off for my bed, slipping under the duvet with a sigh.” ~ Cam

description

Eating in bed is a hard limit for me. The second Cam crawls under the covers with a plate of oil stains and crust crumbs, I thought: “If I end up with delayed-onset PTSD because of this chick’s actions, I’m giving The Fix Up negative stars.”

description

While I’ve been known to relish a few embarrassingly, cheesy bodice rippers, and bask in the glow of a silly, OTT NA/YA romance (or ten); some plots are too illogical, too unsanitary, and too… well… ridonkulous to be enjoyable. Such is the case with Kendall Ryan’s, The Fix Up.

STILL… The story’s well edited, AAAND… I have a sneaking suspicion reader’s with a high tolerance for ridonkulousness (not to mention a possible greasy/crumby linen fetish) will enjoy it. Also… I didn’t develop PTSD, so I’m inclined to be generous.

The Fix Up by Kendall Ryan: 1.5-2(ish) "Ridonkulous (but it didn’t give me PTSD)" Stars.

➳Kendall Ryan never sees to amaze her readers with her writing. You honestly can never know what to expect, but you sure as hell should know to expect something hot and steamy that will make your panties melt, especially with this new British standalone hottie!

➳Sterlin Quinn is the ultimate bachelor who treats women with respect, and acknowledges the fact they can drop to their knees in an instant just to please him. Yup! He is that type of persona. One that I freaking ADORE! As a divorce attorney, his opinion about a happily-ever-after and "love" is outspoken a lot in this story because he does not believe in those feelings. However, those opinions change the second his uncle tells him about the inheritance Sterlin's grandfather left him before he past away, and the rules regulated that need to be followed to obtain that inheritance- get hitched (does that sound familiar? Yes! That's because this is sort of a sequel to the Hitched Volume Series by Kendall as well.)

➳That's when Camryn pops in the picture. She is a stunning businesswoman who works for the personal communications department in Olivia and Noah's company. They have both asked Camryn to assist Sterlin in finding the ideal woman for him to call his "wife." What they did not realize is that they would soon fall for each other... Camryn tries not to break the walls of keeping things professional, but with Sterlin's charms and trying to woo her she seems to fail at keeping a distance. Their "friendship" evolved at a quick pace that I would have found rather disturbing to read, but instead I ended up finding it quite well written.

➳When they both finally open up for each other, their chemistry is off the charts! Sterlin can never seem to keep his hands off of Camryn and she never minds it. Except that in the back of her mind she is always thinking about finding him the ideal "wife". Sterlin on the other hand, tries to convince her that he is the ideal man for her.

➳This was a beautiful love story that I enjoyed so much! With a cliché but at the same time refreshing ending/epilogue, Kendall Ryan has achieved yet again to woo her readers in this new NA Romance. Now, after reading the small excerpt she wrote at the finale of this book about The Room Mate (coming next year) I cannot wait to get my hands on that one!

Strange as it sounds, I’m coming to look forward to her presence in my life. I didn’t realize it until now, but I’ve been living a lonely existence until she happened into my life.

 photo teaser4_zpstempaknh.jpg

This book was like a little slice of heaven for me. It was low on angst. The heroine was endearing, but most of all it had one sinfully sexy British Hero. Sterling was one of the secondary characters in the HITCHED series. I never really got a true sense as to the kind of man he was and so I was more than curious to get his story. I can safely say that this book surpasses its predecessor by leaps and bounds!!! I loved Sterling to pieces. His gift for filthy talking, his charming demeanor, and the utter love and devotion for his mother had me melting for the man. What can I say? I am a sucker for romances between an American Girl and a British Boy!!

Sterling Quinn has just found out that he is to inherit fifty million dollars from a distant relative. There is one stipulation- he has to marry within the next six months. Marriage goes against everything Sterling believes in. The man is one of the most eligible bachelors in NYC and is well known for being a big-time player. But there are reasons why Sterling doesn’t believe in marriage. He’s one of NYC’s top divorce attorneys, so he has seen countless marriages go awry, but it was his parent’s divorce that rocked him to his core and is the root of why he doesn’t believe in love and marriage. His parents were so deeply in love and their marriage seemed to be solid until Sterling’s mother became ill and his father decided to leave her for another woman. He abandoned Sterling’s mom when she developed Alzheimer's. Sterling makes a pretty penny as a successful divorce attorney but not enough to place his mother in one of the most state of the art facilities in New York. This inheritance can make it so his mother could be well taken care of and for that reason alone, he decides to comply with the inheritance stipulation.

 photo teaser3_zpssvmzbdtd.jpg

Camryn Palmer knows all about Sterling Quinn and his lady-killer ways. She works at Tate & Cane Enterprises and is also Olivia Tate’s best friend. Sterling and Camryn have spent a lot of time around each other because they were the best man and maid of honor in Noah & Olivia’s wedding. They’ve always been attracted to each other but never took it passed light flirting. But now they will be spending an enormous amount of time together because Camryn’s new client is Sterling and she must help him find the woman he is going to marry.

These two end up getting to know each other on a much deeper and personal level. Sterling wants to pursue this thing with Camryn and ditch the wife finding project but has no idea how to go about winning her over. Cami is fighting her feelings for Sterling because she believes that they don’t stand a chance. Will they figure things out before it’s too late?

If you are a Kendall Ryan fan, you are not going to be disappointed with this one!!! And if you’re a sucker for a British book boyfriend like I am, then you’ll definitely want to one-click this as soon as possible!!

RATING 4.5 STARS

The Fix Up by Kendall Ryan is my very first book by her and I just loved it. You are just going to fall in love with Sterling, the sexy Brit, and his matchmaker, Camryn.

The Fix Up - Kendall Ryan:

Sterling Quinn came to the United States as a boy and the adjustment wasn’t an easy one. Now he thinks of New York as home. He is a very successful divorce attorney so he sees the worst side of marriage. Add in the fact that his own father abandoned them as soon as his mother got sick and he is vowed to never get married. His best friend is happily married so Sterling knows true love is out there. Just not for him. That is until he receives a call from his Uncle saying that he is to inherit fifty million dollars, as long as he marries within the next six months.

Camryn Palmer first met Sterling at their best friend, Olivia’s wedding. She thought they shared a connection. But then he just suddenly left. So she is quite shocked when she is named at the Public Relations firm she works at, to head up the event that will help Sterling find a wife.

lobsters mate for life:

Even though they haven’t seen each other in a long time, the electric charged connection is still there between them. But Sterling is a player. He is ‘the’ most eligible bachelor in New York. Can he really commit to a woman? Is he taking this seriously? Sterling makes it obvious that he is interested in Camryn but she is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional. She knows if she lets this sexy Brit into her heart, it will not end well for her.

“For years, the only thing I was sure of was that I never wanted to get married, and now that I’m faced with the fact that I need to, the one girl who suddenly looks very appealing is the only one I can’t have.”

Sterling pours on the charm and Camryn’s defenses weaken. She’s falling fast. But she is due a huge bonus if she is able to help Sterling find a wife. And she needs that bonus badly. The more time they spend together, the more she gets to know him, the more she cares for him, and the more impossible it becomes to ignore his charm.

“He is my everything. My unrequited crush. The source of my desire. He’s the thing my fantasies are made of. Sterling makes me wish that happily-ever-afters weren’t just for fairy tales. Because to me, he is perfection.”

The Fix Up - Kendall Ryan:

This is one of those books where you both love the two main characters dearly and want to give them both a smack at the same time. I kept thinking if they would just admit to one another how they really felt, so much of the chaos could have been avoided. But maybe they weren’t ready to hear it yet. Maybe they needed to take the hard road to find their happiness.

wedding cake topper:

This book was surprisingly hot, sweet, silly, and just wonderful. I love these stories that leave you smiling and chock full of warm and fuzzies. I love epilogues and this one was perfect. Camryn and Sterling were both flawed and yet perfect for each other. It just took them a while to figure it out. I sincerely enjoyed this book and definitely want to check out more of this author’s work. I’m so glad I gave this book a try.

“Sometimes things are just meant to be.”

My tempting, and very alpha friend Sterling Quinn is someone I consider off-limits.

It's not just that we're friends, he's also cocky, confident, and British, which means he's a walking aphrodisiac.

The lines between business and pleasure become irrevocably blurred, and I'm stuck between a rock, and Sterling's very, very hard place.

Rather than keep a level head about our growing attraction, Sterling wants to go all in, showing me just how explosive we can be together.

4 stars!

If you've read the Hitched series, then you may know Sterling Quinn as Noah Tate's celebrated bachelor best friend. If you haven't, let me introduce him to you. Sterling Quinn––one of New York's top divorce attorneys––is hot, sexy, single, and British. God bless England.

Thanks to a distant relative bequeathing a $50M inheritance, the perpetual bachelor needs to marry within six months or risk losing all the money. 50 million bucks is quite a lot, and Sterling needs it. Women are now flocking to propose to him, so his uncle hires the one person he wants but decided he can't have to help him find the future Mrs. Quinn.

Another character in Hitched, Camryn Palmer, a PR executive at one of New York's best marketing and PR firms, believes in true love and happily ever afters. That's the main reason Sterling won't sleep with her. Now that she's been tasked to help Sterling find a wife, hooking up is definitely out of the table... until Sterling realizes he wants her. She needs the money, and if she wants to get it, she'll have to make sure someone walks down the aisle. It just can't be her.

In this quick, fun and entertaining alternating POV story, Sterling and Camryn show the extremely sizzling chemistry we got a glimpse of in Hitched. Sterling's already charming with the English accent, but he's also irresistible, driven, kind, and so darn sexy. Camryn's another strong Kendall Ryan female MC––strong, independent, sexy, and intelligent. The two suite each other, and Sterling's slow and steady seduction was H-O-T!

It's a marriage trope, so it's a win for me! And a bit of slow-burn, too. If you're into that plus strong lead characters, then you might enjoy this baby. I sure did.

This is my first book from Kendall Ryan and this premiere had my curiosity reaching its highest level.

I am a fan of slow burn romance, letting the connection between the characters get deeper and deeper, but I also enjoy instant attraction, as long it is genuine.
I had a pleasant surprise when I discovered this book and its characters.

The plot is very original and intriguing, absorbing you completely: Sterling is a gorgeous lawyer, who finds himself in a very awkward situation: in order to receive an inheritance his grandfather left him, he needs to get married in maximum 6 months. We are talking about a lot of money here, and Sterling jumps into taking this opportunity, his priority being supporting his sick mother with this unexpected amount he will receive. There is one problem though: he doesn't want to get married because he simply doesn't believe in this word..Thanks to his profession, he got the opportunity to see people break up, fight and forget the vows they swore to respect. Having this background, we can see why this is hard for him. Enters Camryn a.k.a.his matchmaker and PR, who will organize everything so that Sterling could get married as soon as possible and receive the money.

She will have to find Sterling a suitable wife, so in this way both love and money are crossed off his list. They met before, having common friends, and their chemistry is off the charts! When they are in the same room, everything stops and all eyes are on them.
They will soon embark on a very risky relationship, that will put in question Sterling's priorities: money or love?

Sterling was a genuine good guy, a fun hero to read about. I liked the fact that he was not a player, that he respected women and he was sincere in his intentions. The pull that he felt towards Camryn was hard to resist, and he took his chance by telling her exactly how he feels. Even if he had this faire share of adventures, he is very unexperienced in dealing with his feelings for Camryn, a woman he really likes. I enjoyed that immature part of him and loved his connection with his mother. This loyalty and sense of responsibility towards her was heartwarming. He was torn between acting and feeling, between duty and love.

Camryn managed to steal his heart very fast, due to her charming personality, witty attitude and intelligence. She was natural near him, found conversations so easy to make and everything just flew easily when they were together. She was looking for love, for her better half and found it in the most unexpected place.

Their vision towards love and happily ever after were different to begin with, but the strong attraction united them and what a fabulous and sweet result we had!

Add as a bonus their insane attraction, sexy conversations and hot scenes!
Regarding that, 1000 stars for the way those scenes were described! Pure hotness, without exaggerating and really convincing the reader that the heroes are compatible on all levels!

I liked the way their relationship evolved, it didn't take too long for them to accept their feelings, but there were moments when I thought things were hurried up just a little.
I enjoyed the sincerity of the heroes, the way they managed to accept their attraction and figure out a way to be together, despite Sterlings responsibilities.

To conclude, a very enjoyable read, with a lot of delicious scenes, lovable characters and original plot!

Sexy, funny and downright mouthwatering!

The Fix Up is a delicious mix of explosive chemistry, laugh-out-loud comedy, unwanted responsibilites, and the need to possess something you can't have! We met Sterling Quinn and Camryn Palmer in Hitched. Now it's their turn....

Sterling...sinfully sexy British playboy, successful attorney, recent multi-millionaire. But soon-to-be-groom? Something he never wanted to be.
Camryn...intelligent, hardworking, beautiful, loyal friend and deep-hearted romantic. Hired as Sterling's new PR manager? Not as easy as she thought it would be.
What happens when these two strong, gorgeous people work together to find a suitable wife for Sterling? Not only that, but throw in their lustful attraction for one another into the mix?...
Candid banter, hilarious situations and positively erotic encounters all await!

If you loved Hitched, then you'll absolutely love The Fix Up even more! Sterling and Camryn are one of those couples that you wish you were friends with. Their relationship is full of twist and turns, and there's never a dull moment. Their story screams sex from the very beginning. The build up and anticipation was not just torture, but it also made it explosive! This book makes you think....can these two move past their differences and see what's been right in front of them? Or will money and dignity blind them from pursuing what's in their hearts?

Kendall Ryan knows exactly what her fans want! Lust, power, humor, passion....you will devour this book! 5 Delectable Stars!

If you were amused by the sexy Sterling Quinn in HITCHED, you have NO IDEA what you're in for in Kendall Ryan's THE FIX UP! That man...THAT MAN is FREAKING DELICIOUS! He will be invading your dreams before you know it. He is THAT good!

When I think of romance heroes that make me weak in the knees, I think of Kendall Ryan's men. First Noah, and now Sterling! My God, a girl can only take so much HOTNESS! I'm just kidding. KEEP. THEM. COMING. Although, it's going to be hard to beat the gorgeous Sterling Quinn. Talk about a man who can make you HOT with just one word....LOVE. Seriously...that British hunk of a man will have your panties melting in no time at all. Here's what I mean:

"Take me deeper, love."

SEE WHAT I MEAN!!! Oh god, that man...THAT MAN just pushes all of my buttons and them some.

This friends-to-lovers romance will make you laugh, blush, and swoon so HARD! It's scrumptious mix of comedy, sex, and explosive chemistry will bring you to your knees.

This gorgeous British playboy needs to get hitched and hitched fast! For that he needs help...serious help! And for that, Camryn Palmer steps into the picture. If only she knew what she was signing up for. It's craziness! It's madness! No one can tame this beast of a man, but it's her job to find his bride-to-be. Simple right? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Sterling wants what he can't have and he wants, no, he CRAVES the beautiful Camryn. He has plans...devious plans to win her over, but she is not some wilting wallflower. She is strong and determined to do her job and to do it well, no matter how weak in the knees the beautiful Sterling Quinn is.

"I want to make you mine."

All in all, this book KICKED MAJOR ASS! I loved it to pieces. I loved the humorous and flirtatious banter between the two lovable and entertaining main characters. THE FIX UP was an unputdownable, hilarious and sexy read that will leave you WANTING MORE! This book will have you questioning "Noah who?" by the turn of the last page. I guarantee it!

If you've read and enjoyed the Hitched series, then these characters will be very familiar to you. Olivia and Noah are very present in this book, so if you're looking for a little more time to spend with them, this will be a nice little treat. Their best friends Camryn and Sterling are getting their chance to make a connection after some flirting in the Hitched series.

Sterling is an attorney practicing in family law who likes his easy and plentiful variety of women. He's grown jaded and cynical about love after his parents' marriage disintegrated from his father's abandonment. His specialty in divorce, and seeing the bitter outcome of so many marriages doesn't help his negative perception of love. Camryn has a completely conflicting view. She's all about finding her perfect soulmate, her one person whom she can grow old with.

She’s a true believer in happily-ever-afters, a slave to the idea of lasting love and forevers. I’m a jaded divorce attorney who can tell you every statistic on marriage and divorce over the past thirty years.

They already know each other superficially because of their friends, but never spent any time really getting to know one another. It was the huge bomb that was dropped on him unexpectedly that was the catalyst in making this happen.

Sterling is set to inherit millions, but in order to do so, the will states that he must marry within six months. Now he's the subject of every news story and being hounded by single women. He's successful, devastatingly handsome, and will make his wife rich right along with him? Yeah, he's not lacking options of beautiful women willing to agree to a rushed marriage. But he needs help with the process and that's where Camryn comes in. She's his matchmaker. The two of them are forced to spend lots of time together plotting how he's going to reach his end goal. To say that he has some serious life changes and adjustments to make is a vast understatement.

Nights out with bright lights and fast women have been replaced by nights in with one very hard-to-get woman. An interesting fucking turn in events is what it is.

Through these moments they spend together, they find out that they have so much more in common than their best friends. He wants her more than any other woman ever before. But he has circumstances forcing him to go through with his impending marriage. He needs to get out of the bachelor mindset and start thinking like a potential husband. The added escalating sexual attraction that wasn't being suppressed isn't making things easier.

There were some aspects about the plot that I didn't care for. First of all, the forced marriage in order to inherit money is one of the oldest romance clichés. I went with it though, because sometimes you just need a fun and sexy read. But it's really hard to look past the fact that the same situation happened to his best friend. Two best friends who are forced to marry for money?? I mean, really. I admit, I found that to be so unrealistic. Secondly, there is a moment towards the end when Sterling was holding an event for interviewing potential wives. His ex shows up and what happens with her is a little hard for me to imagine.

Despite my quibbles, I think many will enjoy The Fix Up. It wasn't an enthusiastic five star read for me, but if you're looking for something light and steamy, this will most definitely fit the bill.

She makes me want to settle down . . . or maybe I’ve always wanted that but never found the right fit that would satisfy me mind, body, and soul. Until her.

**Note: Though this is connected to the Hitched series, you do not have to read those first. This is a complete standalone.

The Fix Up is a spinoff from the Hitched series. If you read the series you know Sterling and Camyrn, they are the best friends of Noah and Olivia. If you haven’t read the series, let me fill you in. So Sterling is British, super hot, and a bit of a manwhore…just my book type! Camryn is feisty, fun and outspoken.

Camryn and Sterling had a moment together at Olivia and Nate’s wedding, and she thought it could lead to more, but it never did. Now Sterling has learned he has to marry in six months to receive an inheritance valued at over a million of dollars. Naturally, I was like marry Camyrn, but Ryan gave us so much more than an insta-love situation!

Camryn, a public relations expert, is hired to help Sterling find his spouse. She is going to narrow down the thousands of women eager to marry a millionaire and find a few options for him to date, all in six months. However, the more time they spend together the more feelings develop and Sterling is beginning to kick himself for not asking Camryn out sooner when things were less complicated.

“Sterling makes me wish that happily-ever-afters weren’t just for fairy tales. Because to me, he is perfection.”

I was so pleased with how this story developed, especially the connection between Camryn and Sterling. I loved how they had these work dates and truly got to know each other. I especially loved when Sterling opened up to Camryn! I felt this story was just so much more than I was expecting. I knew it would be sexy, duh, but I also thought there would be some insta-love or even the two of them marrying out of circumstance. I really enjoyed how the story was more about them truly getting to know each other, with tons of chemistry and just the right amount of resistance to keep me eager to turn the page.

The The Fix Up is a spinoff, but can definitely be read as a standalone!

3,5 stars! Sexy british and sassy matchmaker caught up in quite a story! If you're Kendall Ryan's fan is a book not to be missed.

You could get to know Sterling and Camryn in Hitched, but this is a completely new story. And if you have read the previous book, you will definitely be pleased with a small participation of Olivia and Noah in this section. If you liked that story, this will also consume you. Then again, it's all the way old fashion way to get married and get a inheritance, which is the main thread of the story.

Sterling and Camryn meet again in surprising situation. She has to be his PR, who will need to help him get married. Funny thing, the more time they spend together, the more they recognize that what he is looking for is right next to him.

The story is fast paced and have a few funny dialogues. They have great chemistry together, which explodes with scenes in bed. It was also quite romantic. But, although this is low of angst, for me their pull and push was a little frustrating, it changed so quickly that sometimes I couldn't follow. Besides, the British hero can reward much himself, just imagine his accent and your pants will melt!

If you are looking for something light and funny about the marriage agreement, the Hitched and The Fix Up is definitely for you.

5 British Swoony Stars

The Fix Up is a standalone and is a spin-off from the Hitched series. I mega loved Hitched, so I was tickled with delight when I realized there would be Sterling’s book. I love a British Hero and Sterling lived up to all of my European expectations.

“He is my everything. My unrequited crush. The source of my desire. He’s the thing my fantasies are made of.”

“Sterling makes me wish that happily-ever-afters weren’t just for fairy tales. Because to me, he is perfection.”

“All that cocky British swagger wrapped up in one delicious package is hot enough to make panties melt.”

Camryn isn’t opposed to Sterling’s charm. Who wouldn’t? Sterling is successful, charismatic and a complete sweetheart! He’s a mama’s boy and that is a turn-on my friend. However Camryn doesn’t want her heart crushed so she is keeping her heart as far away from the British heartthrob as possible.

I would consider this romance a work-colleague to lovers read. Camryn and Sterling work together and the chemistry between the two is adorable and the banter fun. I really liked the relationship they have and the mild tension.

Camryn is strong, a hard worker and somewhat guarded and I loved that. I loved that she has a saucy mouth on her and kind of keeps Sterling on his toes.

I really liked all the cute British slang Sterling used, it kept the writing authentic. I also loved how sweet Sterling is and you kind of just want to snuggle up with him and spend a lazy day in bed with the hunk.

Overall, I love Kendall Ryan books because she always delivers. Her books are light, happy and super steamy. She always creates intriguing storylines and likeable characters. Each books and each series she writes are always different.

A cute and sexy lighthearted romance.

Sterling Quinn is walking, talking chick magnet. He’s gorgeous, smart and self-assured. Oh and British. His accent is an unquestionable aphrodisiac. He’s also about to inherit fifty million dollars, if he gets married within the next six months. As a divorce attorney he doesn’t believe in happy-ever-afters and has never considered marrying until now. So he does what any person in his position would do. He hires a PR agency to help him find a wife. He never expected to fall for his friend and matchmaker but once he does, can he convince her she’s it for him?

Camryn Palmer knows she shouldn’t be playing matchmaker to the sexy Brit. He’s tempting beyond reason and completely forbidden because he’ll surely break her heart AND he’s her client. But when work blurs into romantic dinners thick with sexual tension and feelings, she’s not sure what to do. See her assignment through in order to get the bonus she so desperately needs while the man she’s fallen for marries someone else or give in to him?

I’ve always liked this kind of stories where I can just escape into a fun, sweet and carefree story. I think I have Chris O’Donnell to blame with his “sh!t or get off the pot” ubber romantic proposal. LMAO!

But back to The Fix Up. This is a classic marriage theme that’s worked on TV, the big screen and books such as this one because of its lighthearted entertainment value. Sterling is not just sexy, he’s kind and charming and Camryn is a sweet and independent woman. The two of them together are adorably fun and flirty with delicious slow burn chemistry.

Kendall Ryan writes a fast paced, easy to read story. I practically read it in one sitting. And although it has an unsurprising ending (which is the case for all romance novels) and not and emotionally complex story, I loved how Sterling pursued her, with actions speaking louder than words. There were also a few times I wanted to smack Camryn. Overall I found myself smiling throughout the book and now curious to read the Hitched series.

The Fix Up is a standalone romantic comedy by Kendall Ryan. It’s a light, easy to read full length friends to lovers romance. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

3.5 Sexy Stars****

(ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review)

Who doesn't love a sexy guy with a British accent and charming personality? The hero in this book was all that and more. Sterling Quinn will keep you swooning like is going out of style for the entirety of this novel. Get ready because this man always gets what he wants, and he's coming for you...

Sterling Quinn is a divorce lawyer who does believe in love. His lack of faith in relationships is not only due to his profession, but because of his father's abandonment. Sterling has never been interested in marriage, but you know how the saying goes; never say never, and now karma is out to get him. Sterling has recently been appointed the only heir of his uncle's fifty million dollar fortune, but he can only claim the money after completing one stipulation; he must get married whitin the next six months.

Thanks to the local news, every woman in the city has caught wind of Sterling's situation and he is getting fed up with all the unwanted female attention, which is why, he's had to hire a PR company to help him deal with the problem.

The PR rep in change in his account is the beautiful and unobtainable Camrym Palmer, poor Sterling can't believe his luck. Camrym is a total professional, and the best at what she does. But she is not immune to the raw beauty and charm of her new sexy client. Camrym knows exactly who Sterling is, she knows his reputation, and even though she knows she has her work caught out to her, she is definitely up for the challenge.

As Sterling and Camrym start working on finding him a suitable wife, they start to realize the great chemistry they have, sparks fly, stolen kisses begin, and clothing is now optiona, every time they hang out. But both of them know the danger that comes with indulging in this new wicked game they are becoming very good at playing.

There is a big problem though, and that is that money aside, Camrym is not a one night only kind of woman, and Sterling simply doesn't do commitment. These two will get tangled up in a very sexy mess, and lucky for us, we are coming along for the ride.

★★★3.5 Stars★★★

What happens when the one thing you swore you would never do, suddenly becomes the THE same thing you're faced with having to do. From having one stand stands and enjoying the single life, Sterling is about to be faced with the all time commitment of having to say "I Do".

Being a good family attorney is something that Sterling has prided himself on but his specialty is divorce. From pre nups to the amount of alimony and other legal drama that comes along with the end of an marriage, you want something done, Sterling is your guy. But when a phone call informing him of his great grandfather's passing leaving him to inherit $50 million dollars, he soons develop 99 problems with the chicks being one.

In order to receive his inheritance, Sterling has to marry within six months. That shouldn't be a problem right? Considering the fact that he's never had any desire to settle down and get married. Getting help from a woman who sparked his interest years ago, Sterling is now on the hunt for the future Mrs. Quinn.

Despite having gone through a terrible breakup, Camryn still believes in love and finding your soulmate. The person you could talk to about anything, the one that sets your body on fire, and the person you could call your own. Taking on the job of finding a wife for the now famous bachelor, Camryn is about to experience for herself the infamous british charm of the one and only Sterling Quinn.

This was a fun quick read and I really enjoyed seeing Camryn and Sterling's interaction with each other. He was charming, sexy, and I loved seeinhg a different side to him when he was with Camryn. I didn't like the whole arranged marriage of convience thing but this was still a good one. If you're looking for a hot, quick read, then this one is for you.

I really liked this book. Kendall Ryan is really good at what she does. This is the fifth book I have read from her and I know for a fact that it will not be the last. I listened to the audiobook and OMG it was so good. I think listening to the book really enhanced my experience with this book. Ava Erickson, John Lane are the people who voice the characters.

Ava Erickson has fast become one of my auto-narrator. It is such a pleasure to listen to her. Her voice is so smooth to listen to. I really don't recommend listening to her when you are dead tired. Her voice will lull into dreamland (that happened to me the other night). Her range of voices is fantastic. For me what really impressed me was the fact the her British accent sounded so good. It was not forced in any way.

John Lane was a new narrator for me. I have not heard him read before. I was really surprised. I am generally really picky when it comes to male voice actors. I also judge then hard. I don't know what the reason for that is. His voice smooth, deep, and perfect British accent. He is an American. I was questioning that through the whole book. Amazing job.

Lets talk about some characters

Camryn Palmer - I really liked her. She was really independent. I really liked this about her. All of Kendall's female characters are like this. So Camryn is in great company.

Sterling Quinn - Rich playboy. Basically getting blackmailed into marriage so he can claim his inheritance. He is a smooth British man who is use to having any girl he wants. He gets paired up with the only one he can't have. He knows who he wants but really can't go after her. Camryn the girl of his dreams. He tries to do the right thing and let her go. He knows that she should not be put into the position that she is in.

This ARC was provided to me for an honest review;
Sterling Quinn Alpha divorce attorney loves bedding the women in his life until he is given the task of finding a wife and getting married within the next 6 months to receive his 50 million dollar inheritance which he needs so that he can look after his ailing mother the only problem is Sterling has feelings for Camryn the woman that has been given the job of finding him a perfect wife. I found this a light and happy romance with just a few little bumps for the characters and it was a pleasure to read, the story line was great and the characters lovable, it was also good to catch up with Noah and Olivia two characters from Kendall Ryan's Hitched who also happen to be close friends of Sterling and Camryn's, so if your looking for a light comfortable romantic read on a rainy day this is it.

Looking for their lobster!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚🖤
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😊😄😘🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Sterling Quinn - he is a jaded divorce attorney and quite a playboy. He is British and lives in New York, so his accent helps him quite a bit in charming the ladies. When he finds that his great-grandfather on his mother's side, whom he never met, had died, possibly leaving him a multi-million-dollar inheritance with the caveat that he gets married.

The heroine: Camryn Palmer - she is a PR executive, and an acquaintance of Sterling. She has seen him go through a string of ladies one after another. She is beautiful, driven and intelligent and sees right through Sterling, she sees him as a pompous player, and he sees her as one woman he can never have. They attended a wedding a few years back when he was the best man, and she was the maid of honor. They shared a few drinks and dances, but when he saw her wistfully looking at the bride and groom, Sterling knew she would never be for him.

The Story: Camryn is hired to help Sterling with his PR after his great-grandfather passed away and he has six months to get married in order to inherit more than 50 million dollars from the estate. She is in charge of coming up with and executing a plan that results in Sterling’s marriage within six months. She resents the fact that she has to play millionaire matchmaker, when her regular job is usually a bit more professional. Camryn’s last boyfriend left her with a mountain of debt, she is two months behind on her rent and needs the bonus money Sterling is promising for the job.

I liked the fact that though Sterling makes a good living as a lawyer, he lives in New York, which is really expensive and since his mother has early onset dementia and he takes care of her, he really wants that inheritance mostly so he can put her in a nicer place. Also, his feelings on marriage are not only due to him being a divorce lawyer, but due to the fact that his parents' long marriage suddenly ended when his mother got sick, and his dad left her for greener pastures.

I also really liked the way that Sterling was so attracted to Camryn and wanted to get to know her even while still planning to go through with the marriage, since his mother’s condition is getting worse, and he really needs to get her into a better place that can look after her more. The relationship between Sterling and Camryn grows to more than they expect, though I do like how they take the time to learn about each other.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by John Lane and Ava Erickson. Ava is one of my favorite female narrators. She has a soft, feminine voice and is great at doing different voices for different characters. John Lane has a deep, gravelly voice and has a great British accent, so good, I can’t tell if it is real or not. So, he makes a great Sterling Quinn.

There is something about Kendall Ryan's books that just draws you in and refuses to let you go and The Fix Up was just the perfect romantic fixing to satisfy your romance cravings. Or should I say hot British sexy alpha male cravings.

#TheFixUp

Hot sexy British hero. Do I need to say more? That’s right ladies, those knickers are gonna wet and twisted when you meet Sterling Quinn. This sexy cocky Brit has all the right moves and accent that acts as lube. So as you can imagine, this book was deliriously sexy and steamy. And how could it not be when you have a sassy heroine, who is no wallflower. Camryn Palmer was hired to help Sterling Quinn get married but she finds herself in a bit of predicament when she starts falling for the Brit. So how does two sexually attractive friends keep their friendship and working life professional without mixing business with pleasure? The answer to that is simple… No can do, when the knickers are already wet and twisted for Sterling Quinn.

So if you are looking for a romance that blends hot chemistry, comedy, and a riot of cheeky entertainment then The Fix Up is definitely the book for you. As always, Kendall Ryan will have you swooning hard as she bewitches you with her sinful and sweet prose.

Just alright: Look I get it: it was fast paced, cute and easy, but truthfully? It was boring. You can't really say it's insta-love but, damn, you do get that feeling of it. Yes, they have a good chemistry, and their friendship/relationship is adorable, but that doesn't make things...interesting. We all know the outcome, the predictions, the situations easily understood, everything was...well, yeah: extremely predictable. There was nothing that made me anxious, nothing that made me fangirl, nothing that made me nervous, nothing... It just was. Sure, a smile appeared here and there, but other than that? Nothing. Overall, it was alright, but boring.
Quickies in the men's room of my office aren't going to work anymore. I need to start thinking like...a husband.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Contemporary Romance
Series: - Standalone
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Sterling Quinn
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Probably.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Yes, if you want a easy, quick read.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.

So, I sat down this morning and wrote out my review, then my son started getting sick so I tossed my iPad aside..on the bed of course..only to return and find the tab closed. I love my sweet little dog...but I was so not happy.

I don't have it in me right now to rewrite all my thoughts, but I will say I was looking forward to this book, Camryn and Sterling were so wonderfully written in the Hitches series, I had such high hopes for their story. Camryn was an intelligent, strong and interesting character, you can understand my dismay when she gets her own book she is reduced into an insecure self doubting shell of her former self. I just don't get it, and to top it off, this was such a predictable unoriginal story. I think I may have to break up with Ms. Ryan, I've come to the conclusion that I enjoy her book blurbs and the idea behind her stories much more than the actual story.

This was such a pointless book. So, sooooo pointless.

Let me explain real quick: There was no point in this book existing. Ever.

• Blurp is deceiving. "Two friends changing to lovers" --> "Two acquaintances meeting and fast forwarding into the most aggressive insta-love I've seen to date".
• There was no plot
• No development what so ever
• There was no plot
• British Playboy was promised, nothing remotely British was in sight
• There was no plot.

I mean they couldn't do anything because.. why? Because.. That is apparently a solid reason. I know, I'm doing the same thing right now right here. Unfortunately for me and you, i have to because the blurp is how it is. I'm sure the plot is put out in another review somewhere. Ugh fine stop whining I will cave. Spoilers ahead.

Pointless. Pointless. Pointless. Read something else.

Beautiful cover.
Wonderful narration.
Cute Story.
Interesting subplot.
But...I didn't fall in love with the main characters. Maybe it's me, but I just didn't feel the connection.
The book was still enjoyable, just not my favorite.
