I picked up Beauty and the Blog as soon as I saw the cover--I've bought a lot of Lovelight Titles as soon as they came out, but now that I have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, I borrowed it that way. I realized that I'd put 10 books into my KU queue, and it was an easy choice to read this novel first.
While I read a lot of paranormal, I like to read contemporary when it is about creatives--in this case a beauty vlogger and a style blogger--and I'm always looking for a good LGBT read. That's why I have have so many Lovelight titles. In fact, I have several of Diana Morland's, the author, witch F/F PNR serial novellas and I have been meaning to read them. Now, I know that I'm going to have to!
This book was an engaging, page-turning, sensual read that had me holding my breath, cussing, and ignoring my need to go pee for about 4 hours. I seriously flipped my shit near the end of the book when everything hit the fan and I don't know that I could breathe until I'd gotten to the very last word and the HEA. The characters are extremely well-developed, and the plot was twisty, turny, and unpredictable. By the way, when I say the characters are well-developed, I mean ALL of them. Not jus the main characters, but pretty much every character that is brought into the book is fleshed out and feels very real with their own personality. Which brings up an interesting point...I really liked Kelly's little sister Vicki and I hope that she gets her own New Adult F/F Romance with Lovelight Press! I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a romantic read. The love scenes--and that's what they really were--were intimate and beautifully written, and while not extremely explicit, they were enough to make me read certain parts a few times because I was so swept up in the characters. This story was extremely romantic. Oh--and something I have to mention about the quality of this book: the characters had some flaws that were interesting and well done (the characters remain likable no matter what happens) so that I was like OOH THAT WAS PROBLEMATIC as I read about certain behaviors, thoughts, etc, and then EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING had a VERY SATISFYING RESOLUTION. CHARACTER GROWTH! Okay, I'll stop shouting. But this book was excellent. Highly recommended and five stars. Five stars=great read that I will re-read.

Good stuff

I enjoyed reading this story. I didn't know anything about makeup and clothes but I still liked the story a lot.
