It is over a thousand years in the future and science has given people the ability to live well past their two-hundredth birthday, but what does this mean for our world? The population exploded beyond Earth’s capacity and capability to sustain life, but nature fought back. Women slowly started losing the ability to reproduce. Life became very hostile for those who could and our world became a world divided. Those who were fertile chose to band together in small communities hidden from the world and the government took complete power over the rest. They thought it was their duty to save humanity and would go to any lengths to do so. Freedom and inherent rights were now a thing of the past. With very little plant and animal life left, science once again stepped up to the plate and created a synthetic food source, but like everything else, the government would gain control of this too. Everyone was now at the mercy of the government. They finally had the absolute power they had always desired. Perhaps this had been the plan all along. Could there have been another explanation for what happened to the women? Was it not a natural occurrence at all? When overpopulation threatens the very existence of humans, how far would the government go to resist extinction?
