The Sullivans #8

Voor altijd in mijn hart

Rate this book

Sweet and Sexy read, and I have always had a soft spot for the books that take place out in the country! It was highly amusing to see a city girl try her hand at becoming a rancher's helper. Lori gave it her all, and while she did that she fell in love with the grumpy Greyson! I loved this couple together, and I have to say that this book was hands down my favorite of the series so far.
Lori is the last of her eight siblings to fall in love, and now the series is going to start focusing on the Sullivan cousins! I can't wait to see what each cousin will bring to the table while falling in love. Glad that I have been in the mood for sweet and light reads lately!

If you have not read this series, you must add it to your TBR now. You seriously cannot go wrong with Bella Andre's Sullivans series. Each and every single one of these books are absolutely wonderful. Bella Andre never disappoints and she will have you completely gushing over this family and fantastic group of siblings. I've said it before and I will say it again….this series is gooood. After reading book one you'll end up wishing you were part of this beautiful, kind, sweet, and loving family. I want to marry each and every one of those brothers or just be one of them!

Lori's story has been building up since book one, The Look of Love. I was thinking we would finally meet the mystery man and we get their story but Bella Andre surprised me by having Lori meet and end up with someone totally different and unexpected but at the same time the perfect person for her. I've loved Lori from the beginning. She is the loud mouthed sister in the bunch who isn't scared to share her opinions. She's very honest and quite honestly loves to push peoples buttons. But even though she lives up to her nickname, Naughty, Lori is just as sweet, caring and loving like the rest of her siblings.

I found Grayson to be a great male protagonist and perfect for Lori. They say opposites attracts and boy did that ring try to Lori and Grayson. While Lori is open, talkative and social, Grayson is very reserved, quiet, and almost reclusive. Out of all the main male protagonists, he's the most emotionally damaged one we've met. His previous life in New York is a sharp contrast to his current life on his quiet Northern California farm. My heart just went out to him because I couldn't imagine how someone who lived a fast paced life in NYC can completely change and practically hide himself away from his friends and family. But his quiet demeanor did not hide the fact that Grayson is a complete Alpha male. He just exuded a quiet strength that I found to be completely sexy. Don't let his nice farmer image fool you, this guy is a stallion in the bedroom. *rawr*

Like I said, Bella Andre's The Sullivans series is a fantastic contemporary romance series. If you are a fan of sweet romance with a wonderful cast of characters that will capture your heart and soul, then you most definitely need to read these books. It's impossible to be disappointed with any of these books and the stories just get better and better. Bella Andre just makes you fall in love with reading romances and she ignites every romantic bone in my body. I was sad before this book was released because I was thinking it was the last Sullivan book but she announces at the beginning of Always on My Mind this this will NOT be the last Sullivan book and we will have more to look forward to. The one I am most excited about is the story between Mary and Jack Sullivan, the parents of all the wonderful Sullivans in the first 8 books. Can.not.wait for that book!!

The long-awaited story of Lori Sullivan, talented dancer of the Sullivans, is here! This marks the last of this branch of the Sullivans and tells a tale of forgiveness and learning again to trust in love.

Lori Sullivan, nicknamed "Naughty," is actually not all that naughty. She's easy to trust and easy to give out love, which gives this tender-hearted beauty such an innocent, endearing nature underneath the tough act she puts up. After a devastating emotional betrayal, she abandons her show in Chicago and flees to a random location, and decides to try being a farmhand for a while, at the farm of our hero, Grayson Tyler. Grayson feels responsible for a tragedy that occurred three years ago, and has since then attempted to shut everyone out of his life; his seemingly impenetrable barrier now being tested with the arrival of a passionate and determined Lori Sullivan. Of course, we know from the first moment that Grayson doesn't stand a chance against Lori's easy charms, incredible beauty, and vivacity for life and people. As she becomes more determined to create a warm hearth in the coldness of his heart, Grayson learns to forgive himself and completes the missing piece in Lori's puzzle - by showing her the meaning of true love.

Aside from the palpable sexual tension in Bella Andre's works, there is a great amount of depth to her characters. Neither character is close to being perfect, but that only serves to complement the perfection in their being together. Lori lives the glamorous life of a dancer, but having grown up with 7 siblings she knows about real work and is not afraid to go the extra mile to achieve something of value. Underneath her determination and hard work is a heart of gold, one who grieves over a dying cat and makes friends with farm animals. At the same time, there is a hidden vulnerability to her that Grayson notices, which makes him all the more endearing. For all that the Sullivans are amazing, Lori brandishes her moniker and tough facade like a shield; for fear of going unnoticed she hides a part of her true self from public view. Grayson, naturally, is our resident tortured hero. For most of the novel he contends with past ghosts, yet as he slowly succumbs under Lori's spell, he polishes the diamond within her which in turn helps to erase the guilt in his own heart.

This is a sweet tale of two touching and realistic characters, both full of injuries that are slowly healed by each other. Personally I feel like this story could do with a little less sex, but with all the underlying emotional content it isn't a great complaint. Always On My Mind comes off with resounding sweetness and love, a trademark of Bella Andre's writing. The ending is especially worthy of a Disney film, as we wave good-bye to the happy couples of the 8 Sullivan siblings and move towards the Seattle Sullivans starting with cousin Rafe, whose story I can't wait to read.

Pretty much everywhere! You can also have the paperback shipped directly to you from Amazon (http://amzn.to/1jZuuMs) and Barnes & Noble (http://bit.ly/1gx0veZ).

While I'm terrible at picking favorites, the truth is that ALWAYS ON MY MIND is one of my favorite Sullivan books that I've written so far. One lovely reviewer on Amazon even said, "This book is now not only one of my favorite Bella Andre books, but one of my all time favorite reads ever!" (Thanks, AngieCakes!) So if you happen to pick up a copy for yourself in paperback, I really hope you love it! <3 Bella

I read a LOT of romances. I love reading romances and people love to tease me that it is the only thing I read. Well..they are not far from wrong as it is one of my favourite genres and I do read a lot of it and enjoy doing it.

The beauty of romances is that you are assured, almost always, of a happy ever after ending. And be it movies or books, I just love myself a HEA, which brings a smile to my lips, a gleam in my eyes that is often combined with a certain softening and a feeling of completeness in my heart. My husband will be the first to tell you that I am an incurable romantic, in case the above lines haven't told you that already. Between the two of us, I am more vocal and demonstrative but he simply steals the show with his smallest gestures and even fewer words.

Wondering why I am talking about us when reviewing a book? Well, because the main female character in this book Lori aka Naughty is a lot like me and Grayson, the male lead is a lot like my husband. When reading the Sullivan series, right from book 1, I was amazed at how much Lori was like me and was waiting eagerly to get to her book and I have to say that I simply love Bella Andre for writing this amazing story for Lori. It's picture perfect -both in content, humour and romance. It's just Lori! And what's more Grayson is perfect for her. No words to describe what I felt while reading this book as it brought back every teasing remark, every spat, every argument and every loving moment that I experienced in life and I guess that's what reading a romance is all about. It's remembering your own HEA in life.

It was the perfect way to celebrate the happiness that I was feeling since morning after getting in touch with my parents and the perfect way to get over the tensions that racked me these past few days. So here's once again to Bella Andre for giving me such a beautiful experience in reading this wonderful romance. Thank you so much! :D

Bella Andre presents readers with one of the most anticipated books in the Sullivans series. Lori Sullivan aka Naughty has always been the firecracker of the family. She has been the rock, the troublemaker and most lovable of the bunch. But when her heart is broken, who will be there to comfort her?

Lori takes a complete break from her dance career and goes on an impulsive trip that takes her to a farm far away from anything that can hurt her again. She applies for a job as a farmhand and things get crazy from there! The owner of the farm is no other than Grayson Tyler, a city runaway himself. After the death of his wife, he escaped his own past by working on the very same farm that Lori is now hoping to be her escape.

Out of all of Andre’s heroes, Grayson is the most different. He is the most scarred and the most reserved. Nothing gets past the shields that he has placed around him – not even the firecracker that is Lori Sullivan. But slowly, her charm gets to him and readers see glimpses of a man beneath the tough exterior.

I absolutely loved the first half of the book where Lori and Grayson bicker and snarl at each other. Lori manages to take it all in stride but amongst the hostility that emanates from Grayson, there is also attraction as well. The hilarious antics ensue once you put Naughty and farm animals together. Some scenes had be laughing out loud and grinning from ear to ear.

In addition to that, there were also moments that nearly brought tears to my eyes. There were moments that were touching and moments that were sad. I love the way Andre is able to incorporate a whole range of emotions in a single book. Her writing is always so poignant and inspiring, that I can never get enough of it!

The well-loved Sullivan family is present and well represented. Marcus gets growly over his sister and it’s nice to see the sisterly bond between Naughty and Nice. Andre even treats readers with a scene from Mary Sullivan’s POV!

I initially thought that this would be the last book of the Sullivan series but IT IS NOT! Andre has announced that Rafe Sullivan will be getting his own book (he’s the cousin from Seattle) and also Mary will be getting her story told later his Fall! That means that there are more books to come! Woo hoo! This gets me very, very excited.

Bella Andre has singlehandedly invigorated the genre with her endearing characters and stellar writing. When it comes to Contemporary Romance, no one does it better than Andre!

A little bit naughty and a whole lotta nice! Lori Sullivan’s long awaited book hit the fantastic button with me. Of all the Sullivan books, Bella Andre’s latest is my very favorite.

“Always on My Mind” was a minefield full of emotions just waiting to erupt. Expect the unexpected and that’s just what you get as Lori’s story unfolds. Every foregone conclusion I had concerning Lori and what her future might bring came to a grinding halt. No way would I ever have imagined that glamorous and talented Lori “Naughty” Sullivan would find her true love wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, hidden on a farm among cows, pigs, horses, and an unforgettable old sickly cat named Mo a/k/a Sweetpea. Simply priceless!

And as if this book filled with all the delights of a captivating romance wasn’t enough, the romantic-filled Epilogue was pure magic . . . a perfect and complete happily-ever-after. What a joy to read!

“Oh, Grayson… Don’t they know better than to wait for an invitation when the only thing that works with you is just showing up and refusing to leave?”

It’s with bittersweet anticipation that we awaited the last book in The Sullivans series and personally, this was the story that I wanted to read the most. One by one, the Sullivan siblings met the loves of their lives, and one by one, they found their happily-ever-afters. We watched Lori “Naughty” Sullivan witness it all, rejoice in her brothers’ and sister’s happiness, sometimes with a cynical attitude and always with a protective streak, but ultimately sharing their joy and only wanting what is best for them. We got hints throughout the previous books that her love life might not be all that rosy, but the details stayed a mystery. In this final book we finally find out who Lori really is, what motivates her and what is in her heart. We unveil the vulnerable woman behind the sassy attitude, and let me tell you, she might just be my new favourite!

Lori’s story starts on a sad note. We find her heartbroken and disillusioned with love. She is grieving the loss of a relationship, as dysfunctional as it was, and this latest heartbreak in her life has shaken her to the core, making her question her place in the world, making her give up her one and only passion in life – her dancing. She has given up her career, left it all behind and decided to find a random place away from it all where no one knows her, to regroup, find her bearings in life again, and lick her wounds. And that is how she stumbles upon a farm in Pescadero, CA looking for a farmhand.

“Lori had something to prove to herself first before she could go back to her real life. And she hadn’t yet proved it, hadn’t even come close to turning the darkness that had settled inside her these past months back to bright, vibrant color.”

As idyllic as her new surroundings might be, the farm owner does not appear to be impressed with her sudden appearance. Grayson has escaped city life himself, hoping to find comfort in isolation and solitude. He carries the heavy burden of guilt on his shoulders for the way his marriage had crumbled and turned into tragedy, having resigned himself to the idea of never deserving to find love again.

“For three years, solitude had been his companion and he’d convinced himself that all he’d ever need again were the blue sky, a thousand acres of pasture, and the crashing waves of the ocean. Until, from completely out of the blue, Lori Sullivan had barged into his life… and promptly blown his carefully emotionless world to shreds.”

Two broken hearts in need of mending, two lonely individuals desperate to love again but fearing another disappointment. Lori barges into Grayson’s quiet and predictable everyday life like a breath of fresh air, her smiles and positivity bringing his walls down, one cranky brick after another. While he likes his silence, she likes to talk, while he grunts his disapproval at everything she does, she responds with a smile. Before they know it, they are under each other’s skin, their mutual attraction steering the wheel, but their growing affection for each other being the driving force behind it. They thread the frustrating waters of unspoken sentiments and fears of unrequited love, week after week, until they finally give in to all the pent-up desire between them and when they do, oh boy, do we get fireworks!

“Nothing has ever been better than this, Lori. Not one goddamned thing.”

They heal each other, fall deeper in love with one another day after day. Grayson fulfils her dream of finding someone who would do anything humanly possible to make her happy, someone who would want to protect her and make her feel safe in giving her whole heart to him. Lori’s love for Grayson finally overshadows his guilt and pain, giving him hope that in Lori’s love he has finally found his home.

“Every time he kissed Lori and tasted how fresh and sweet she was, Grayson felt as though he was being bathed in warm sunlight on a perfect summer day. And even now, as he kissed her beneath the moon and the stars, that warmth moved through his veins, pumping through a heart that had been cold for so long.”

A beautiful story of finding the kind of love that feeds the soul, flesh and bone. In true Bella Andre style, we are taking a journey into her unique brand of ‘meant-to-be’, into a reality where true love finds you regardless of how much you fight it or how little you expect it. This is a stunning finale to the Sullivan siblings saga, one that completes their stories by finally giving the last sibling her happily-ever-after. My heart is so full right now but so incredibly sad as well knowing my thrilling Sullivan tales have come to an end.

The series, however, continues with their cousin Rafe Sullivan’s upcoming book, The Way You Look Tonight, coming in Summer 2013.

“I love you… So that means you’re going to have to love something again. I know you hate doing anything I say, but this time you’re going to have to. Because you’re going to love me back. I’m going to make sure of it.”

[4.5 STARS]

Received from Author for Honest review

Oh my gosh, so I fell in love with the Sullivan’s this year. I figured when I started this series I would like them, but I had no idea how invested in their lives I would become. I still have a few of them I have to review, but since Always on My Mind just released last week, I decided to go out of order.

The main Sullivan in Always on My Mind is Lori, and yay YaY YAY!!!. I love her, she's been such and amusing character through out, so I was excited to see her finally find some happiness.

And she does... in the form of a very attractive farmer. I don't do farmers. I do nerds, however, Grayson, I do him in a second. I loved the tension him and Lori have. You get to see the soft side of Lori, and just when I thought I couldn't love her more, she surprised me.

Grayson, he's a bit rough. A chip on his shoulder, a grump, and I often wanted to punch him early on. But he has his reasons, and I can respect that. By the end of the book, I was putty in his hands. Loved him.

Overall, great ending to the series, but sad to see it end. There will be spin offs, I know, but Lori was the last official sibling to find her match. I am highly anticipating reading about the cousins, and please please pretty please have updates in it about the rest of the family. One of my favorite thing about this series, is seeing how everyone else is doing. Sometimes you just aren't ready to say goodbye to characters. I for one, will never be ready to say goodbye to my Sullivans. <3

Fans of romance, highly suggest you check these out. :)

I have been a big fan of Bella Andre's from first chapter in the very first book..but Lori's story certainly lived up to all I had expected..and who doesn't love a sexy cowboy like Grayson??I was again hooked the minute I opened the book and began to read.. So much heart ache for both of them.. their pain and suffering..Truly I wondered every time how Bella is going to top the last book.. but each time she does it with authority and from her heart. And who I am glad to know that there is another sexy Sullivan family coming soon.

I thoroughly enjoyed Lori and Grayson story. Wow I loved it so much that at the end it make me cry. Lori has a strong personality all thru the series. Grayson and Lori are perfectly match together. I so loved the ending. I mean words are deeply not enough to describe how happy I am that I get a fat chance to read all this. Well still have 1 more book to go. Book 1 I know I'm reading it backwards. Nevertheless I know it will rock my day as the other series did.

Thanks Bella! Can't wait to read the other series as well.

December 2016 Review:

This was an incredible read. I love the Sullivans series. The writing and the characters are so amazing and I just love reading this series every year. I loved Lori and Grayson's story. This is a typical love story. A cowboy meets city girl, they are antagonistic towards each other then fall in love with each other.

Lori is a member of the San Francisco Sullivans who is a dancer and choreographer. Grayson is a Farmer who operates a CSA (he offers the community fruits and crops). They have amazing chemistry. This book proves that the special person in your life may be closer than expected. I can't wait to read Book 9 - Kissing Under The Mistletoe. Overall, an amazing read.

December 2015 Review:

This was another fantastic read by Bella Andre. She knows how to draw her audience in. Lori and Grayson's love story is no different than the other books in the series. This was my second favourite in the series actually. For me, Sophie and Lori's love stories were my favourite. It was brilliant and it proves that a big, close-knit family of brothers and sisters can demonstrate their love each other and the loves of their lives.

Grayson is a farmer. He is a cowboy, sexy, and smart. He falls for Lori, the Naughty Sullivan. Lori is a dancer and a choreographer. She has a great passion for dance. She is talented, smart, and sexy as well. Also, she is not afraid to take risks. Even when she fails, she redeems herself in the task over and over again. She is a sassy, strong, and sweet heroine of this story.

This was a unbelievable story. It was filled with passion, love and steamy scenes. Lori and Grayson are perfect for each other. I am glad that they found their happily ever after. Can't wait to read Jack and Mary's love story in book 9 of the Sullivans series, Kissing Under the Mistletoe. Overall, an amazing read.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!!! This was the one that I was most worried about. I really didn't good feelings about this one because I really didn't get a good sense of who Lori was in the previous books. We know her as "naughty", but she's so much more. And I LOVED the way that the author highlighted this.

I loved the interplay between Lori and Grayson. And I LOVED the way that she just blew into his life. LOL, I chuckle even now as I'm thinking about it. It was just so perfect. I'm so glad that I gave this book a chance because it was probably my favorite of the series so far!

This was the last of our San Francisco Sullivans. I am looking forward to seeing what Seattle has in store!

reading should not feel like a chore which this book and it's appalling writing turned it into. so many unnecessary sentences, too many. also again with love declarations after 2 weeks! it's not that I mind insta love so much usually but the way this author does it is just off-putting with it's unrealness.

While I would have liked to see a bit more conflict with Grayson's character as the book progressed, Lori's character made me laugh - a lot! Dancer turned farmhand... how can that not be entertaining? :)

THE FAMILY:
I am in love with the Sullivans. The Sullivans are a large, one-of-a-kind family that’s made up of 8 magnificent and unique siblings.

Chase – Photographer (The Look of Love)
Marcus – Winery (From This Moment On)
Gabe – Firefighter (Can’t Help Falling in Love)
Sophie (Nice) – Librarian (I Only Have Eyes For You)
Zach – Auto Shop Chain (If You Were Mine)
Ryan – Professional Baseball Player (Let Me Be The One)
Smith – Actor (Come A Little Bit Closer)
Lori (Naughty) – Choreographer (Always on my Mind)

THE SERIES:
If you are looking for something SWEET and SEXY then The Sullivans companion series by Bella Andre is absolutely perfect for you. Each novel in the companion series is unique, just like the siblings. However, there is one thing that all of the novels have in common: THEY ARE ALL AMAZING!

I’m obsessed with this series. As soon as a new novel is released, I drop everything else so I can get my Sullivan fix.

ALWAYS ON MY MIND:
Lori and Grayson's romance was super, super sweet...and HOT!

Lori "Naughty" Sullivan and Grayson Tyler were two of my absolute favorite characters in the Sullivans series, and I've loved every single character in this series so that says a lot.

Lori's a great heroine because she's a fighter, she's fun, and she's feisty! I'm telling you this girl is SASSY. Basically, she has the best personality ever. She cracked me up throughout this entire novel.

"Lori Sullivan wasn't just Naughty, she was a force of nature."

Grayson, on the other hand, possesses all of the qualities I look for in a hero. He's quiet. He's a little jaded. He can be a bit of a ...jerk, but underneath he is the biggest sweetheart ever.

"Because he finally knew what it felt like to hold sunshine in his hands...and when Lori left, it was going to feel like winter all year round, even on the hottest days of summer."

The only criticism I have of Always on My Mind is that I felt like the author "told" me things instead of "showing" me things, in places throughout this novel. It definitely wasn't the whole novel, but there were bits and pieces, here and there, that felt forced. Like the author was telling me to believe something versus making me believe something naturally. Does that make sense? Honestly, it didn't prevent me from enjoying this novel though and that's what counts.

I gave Always On My Mind (The Sullivans #8) by Bella Andre 4 STARS (3.5 STARS). I STRONGLY recommend that every single romance lover out there reads this novel.

-XOXO

While I enjoyed this last Sullivan sibling book, I had a slight problem with how the main characters met. It just didn't work for me, but I was happy with how everything worked out for them. I don't want to give anything away so I'm not including any details about that. *winks* I was anxious to finally read who Lori aka Naughty would end up with. Because she's such a strong, driven female character, I knew the man who would be with her would have to be really to handle her. He was, oh yes he was! Grayson is so different that any of the male characters that are in this series. He's got a sad past that he's run away from and Lori comes into his life at just the right time. He needs to heal in order to become whole and through Lori's way of looking at life he is able to just do that. Lori sees things so very differently than most people and while he may not have agreed with her way of thinking, he soon found himself falling for her.

Grayson is rough and intense. I love how Bella Andre describes the look of his character and his unsunny disposition. He was perfect...and hot! I love a man that uses his hands and Grayson does just that. On his farm of course. Manual labor suits him well and I loved reading the scenes of him working on his farm or riding his horse. Lori couldn't get enough of this as well and I enjoyed reading the scenes where they began to fall for one another. They were perfect together and shows how great that Bella Andre is at writing the couples for her series.

I love the Sullivan family so much and am happy to have been there to discover how each sibling fell in love. Bella Andre has a way of making each reader feel as if they are a part of the family as well. While Always on My Mind may be the last book of this group of Sullivan siblings, there will be another group of Sullivan siblings to get to know better. THANK GOODNESS! I can't wait to read about them and hope that we'll get the chance to peek in on the ones that we've grown to love from time to time.

Didn't really care much for Grayson in the first half of the book, but he comes around in the end. Love Lori throughout, she's the life of the story! Wish there had been a few more scenes with all the siblings though, I'm sad to see this part of the Sullivan's end. But ready for Rafe!

Even though I really love the sullivan series I do have one objection and that is that everything happens so fast.. a week, two at the most and wham bam (thank you mam)[and]I luuuuuve you...I would have liked a bigger time-span in all the books a few weeks at least...

* You do not need to read the previous books to fully understand this book.
** Book read in Dutch.

Three years ago Grayson Taylor left his life behind to start a farm in the middle of nowhere in California. So when Lori Sullivan bursts into his life and wants to become his farmhand, he'd rather see her leave as soon as possible. But Lori has some healing to do herself and through time they both heal and even fall in love with eachother.

Pro's:
+ A sweet story about two people who are both severly hurt, but through time and finding love are able to put their hurt behind them. Lori and Grayson do not have an instant connection, but just that made it more believable and cute. Their dislike for eachother in the beginning creates some really sexy sparks and the outcome was inevitable.
+ The farm angle was something I was really into. It was cute how Lori everything gave all the animals names and the scenes were she interacted with the pigs were really awesome. It gave Lori some humanity she really needed after reading the previous books.

Con's:
- Even though there are a lot of emotions in this book, it never truely gave me the feeling that there was any depth to it. Yes, they go from haters to lovers, but the emotions and actions never ever truely seem to match the story the author wants to set. Therefore this story was not as enjoyable as it could have been.

Another sweet read from Bella Andre, but this one did not seem to capture me as some of the previous entries. It could have been a deep and emotional entry into this seriies, but somehow it always manages to come up short. The farm angle was great and Lori's interactions with the animals were hilarious.

I was not familiar with Bella Andre or her work but for some reason almost a year back a few of her books caught my eye. They happened to be the first 3 in “The Sullivan’s” series. I put them in my wish list for later review. Every time I was in the wish list I saw them and said maybe next time. Well finally I went to her webpage and saw there was an entire series (8 books) so I was in between series or waiting for new releases to my existing series when I said what the heck I’ll give it a shot. I’m so glad I did. You’re probably wondering why I didn’t review each book, well if you’re like me if I start a series and it grabs me I continue reading nonstop so it ends up being one big fat book. That’s what happened here.

This series absolutely needs to be read in order starting with Chase & Chloe’s book. How he found her wrecked on the side of the road and brought her to his brothers vineyard. How he instantly fell in love with her. Then Marcus’s book (the eldest brother) which broke my heart when his girlfriend of two years was caught with another man in her bed. How he meets Nicola (Nico a pop star) and finally gives in to his feelings. Then you have Gabe & Megan’s book and not to forget little Summer (Megan’s daughter). Gabe saved Megan and her daughter from an apartment fire that could have turned out very deadly. In this story the attraction is there but Gabe swore he would never get involved with another victim until the sweetheart of a little girl pulls all the stops out. Then you have Sophie and Jake’s story. Sophie has always had a serious crush on Jake since the age of 5, as they got older Jake had feelings for Sophie but was warned by his best buddy Zach and the other Sullivan brothers that their sisters are off limits. Sophie had other ideas and the Nice (nickname given as a child) was more naughty when she finally set her sights on what she really wanted. Then you have Zach & Heather’s book and summer plays a part in this one. She wants her Uncle Zach to dog sit her brand new puppy cuddles. Okay so you have a man who is known as a playboy toting around a small puppy named cuddles. In comes Heather a dog trainer. Heather has sworn off men because of her father and his lies and she refused to live like her mother. Zach plays the field but has no intentions of settling down and leaving a wife alone like what happened to his mother when his Dad died unexpectedly at a young age. This story I found a little darker but loved it none the less. Then there is Ryan and Vicki’s story. Vicki was Ryan’s best friend all through high school and he made a promise to her when she saved his life. She called him on that promise. This story is very emotional and touching as are all of them really. The attraction Ryan and Vicki have for each other goes way back, but they didn’t want to ruin their friendship. This is a true Friends – to lovers read. Then you have Smith & Valentina’s book. Smith a very well-known Movie Star, producer, who has his pick of females. But he knows they only want him for the celebrity not the man. In comes Valentina, she is the manager of Smith’s co-star Tatiana Landon. Smith can’t afford any distractions, he is risking everything to produce and star in his film Gravity. BUT he can’t stop thinking of Valentina. This is a very touching and romantic story and it also shows how difficult it can be on a celebrity when it comes to his private life. Valentina is not a stranger to actors and swore she would never get involved with one ever. The feelings between these two is undeniable and thank god they succumb.

And that brings us to Always on my Mind, Lori & Grayson’s story and what a story it is. Like with the others I don’t want to give the story away and spoil the reader’s enjoyment. Lori is a dancer, sassy mouthed, tenacious and in your face. I love her in all the books. She knows how to push everyone’s buttons and she talks and talks. She is the only Sullivan that has not found her significant other. But when something happens involving her boyfriend of two years Lori runs. She leaves her show and leaves her life and runs. She’s not ready to go home to her family and be put through the 20 questions so she rents a car and ends up in Pescadero CA applying for a farmhand position. Thinking the farm owner will be an old man and she can give it a try for a month. In comes Grayson and he’s not old, he’s hot, built and irresistible but has shut himself off from feelings and people for three years, very grumpy, not very friendly and wants her out of there. She is stirring up feelings he has not allowed for three years and he needs her gone. But Lori is a whirlwind he had not expected. You will love this story, it will make you laugh, it will make you mad and it will make you cry. And the ending OMG the ending I cried like a baby. This story was an emotional roller coaster and I loved every delicious minute of it.

Mary Sullivan did right when raising her children and watching them grow up and become very very successful both in business and in love. Now maybe it’s her turn for a 2nd chance at love. We’ll have to wait and see what the next phase of the Sullivan’s will bring us. I understand the Seattle Sullivan’s could be showing up soon. I can’t wait. Bella Andre I give every single one of your books 5* and I will most def read them again.

This is the 8th book I’ve read about the Sullivan family. I’ve loved every one of them but I think this one about Lori and Grayson is the best so far! It made me laugh, cry and then love this couple so much. I even learned the right way to pick up chickens! I can’t wait to begin the Seattle Sullivan’s.

I loved this! I knew Lori's story was going to be good. She's not called Naughty for nothing. It was sexy, sweet, funny and heartbreaking all at the same time. Grayson's surprise at the end was a tear jerker that just made me love him even more. I adore Bella Andre's writing and stories, and I look forward to her books!

Update: March 31st, 2019

I just finished rereading the Mass Market Paperback of this book and OMG! IT DOESN'T HAVE THE EPILOGUE THE KINDLE VERSION INCLUDES! I've already contacted Amazon, I don't know if my book is the only one without it? LOL, but I do hope they can solve the problem if other books have the same issue. If you're a new reader thinking about checking out this story, PLEASE READ THE KINDLE VERSION! THAT format has THE COMPLETE STORY.

I was dreading to read Always On My Mind because even though Bella Andre's promised to continue the series, this is the last book of the Sullivans of San Francisco, and each and every one of them has won my heart; knowing this is the last of them is bittersweet. But I couldn't not read this book because it is finally Lori's turn to lose the bet and man, it was soooo worthy reading her journey as she finds Grayson and they fall in love.

It wasn't easy because both have been hurt in the past, the baggage's heavy, but love is a powerful thing and when it knocked on their doorsteps, they couldn't turn their backs on it.

I loved their banters, talks, arguments, sexy times. How they healed each other and made their relationship—in spite of their different professions—work out. The last chapter was especially my favorite chapter. It was the perfect happy ending they deserved.

And for all of us who read from book 1-book 7, Bella Andre offers a fantastic and nostalgic epilogue you can't miss reading; furthermore, we have the second meeting with the Sullivans' cousin, Rafe, whose story will be the start of the Sullivans of Seattle series. (Although I'm hoping to see my precious Sullivans of California making appearances.)

Every contemporary romance lover (especially those who have followed the entire series) can't miss this book. And if you haven't started any of the books yet, I highly recommend you to give them a try. Because even though I do have my favorites (book 3 & 5), as a romance fan, the whole series has stories that will absolutely brighten your day and will take you to a world where happily ever afters are possible.

am back to share the eighth book in the Sullivans series by Bella Andre. Always on My Mind features Lori Sullivan the ballerina whom her siblings nicknamed, Naughty. Mini review: Heated, romantic, hilarious, and gave me the “feels”.

Grayson Tyler, coastal farm, and heated kisses during a thunderstorm…
Read it. That. Is. All.

Grayson, Always on My Mind

What? Do you want more details? A sexy, brooding cowboy isn’t enough?

Grayson suffered a tragedy three years ago that had him leaving his former life in New York City and moving to the rolling hills of the California coastline. He runs a small farm and sells local. He has cut himself off from the world and built walls around his heart both from grief and guilt.

Lori Sullivan is a successful dancer and runs her own show. She is also really bad at picking boyfriends and has spent the last two years on and off again with a man who sees her as an opportunity for his own advancement. *shake head* She is a city girl, loves the spotlight and dresses in heels.

These two should never have crossed paths but fate intervened.

Lori isn’t ready to face her family and decides to hit the road and hold up somewhere for a while to lick her wounds and reassess her career/life. A rental car, a question and an ad in small corner store all play a hand in guiding Lori to Grayson’s farm.

The tale that unfolds in Always on My Mind was hilarious and filled with sexual tension. Andre gave us some of the most romantic moments. EVER! I laughed so hard I had tears streaming down my face. I fell hard for Grayson, and wanted Lori to find the happy her siblings have. While the romance could be dubbed insta-love, Andrea has this incredible way of making it all feel genuine, natural and delicious. The heat, passion and tender moments set against farmland on the California coast just added to the tale. Daily farm life and critters made for hilarious and tearful moments. Wait till you meet the herd! I consumed this in a single evening and immediately ate a truffle as I contemplated convincing my husband we need to buy a farm.

Still not convinced about Always on My Mind? I have read all eight books in the Sullivan series to date, and Always on My Mind was the best of the bunch. I had the feels, fell in love, shed a tear and had my heart filled with happiness and laughter. All of the books in this series work as standalone but as one of my favorite romantic series I totally recommend you read them all.

My new book boyfriend is Grayson Tyler.
