DIARY OF AN 8-BIT WARRIOR: FROM SEEDS TO SWORDS WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED AS WIMPY VILLAGER KINDLES 5-8.
Pet slimes. A potion brew-off. A creepy forest that no one will explain. What’s a twelve-year-old warrior-in-training to do?
As Runt and his friends continue their battle preparation, they face their biggest challenges yet—and it’s not just those zombies decked out in body armor (which is really weird, by the way). Runt’s got a brand new nemesis who will stop at nothing to claim the top spot in the warrior competition at school. And, to make matters worse, there’s a strange girl following him around wherever he goes. But old enemies will become new allies as the town rallies to save the school from a series of mysterious mob attacks. Can Runt and his friends take down the biggest, baddest boss mob yet?
The adventures continue in this second installment of the unofficial Minecraft diary series by Cube Kid.
Hey, it's me, DiamondD7 again. I changed my user name, so...yeah. But anyway, just as I promised in my last review, I am going to write another positive review for this book!
First, this book is sooooooooooo worth the price, and that's not even the point. The details, pictures, and the story is Amazing. The Amazing isn't a typo the the way, it's just an amazing with a capital A, just to show how Amazing it is...well, moving on.
Runt gathers up the courage to open the monster box, (you gotta give him credit for his bravery) and finds...a slime! And not one of those big, scary ones, but the tiny, harmless ones. Just as he was about to poof it, he found out that it wasn't hostile. Way to go, Runt! He kept it as a pet, and named it Jello. I have a craving for jello now, for some reason.... Anyway, he trains, trains and trains. Mobs attack, and he defends. Even the great Urkk Doomwhip couldn't scare him away. He defeats the boss with...a mushroom (and some TNT, of course). Experience orbs rain from the sky as a new hero is created. Of course, I'm not forgetting Breeze. She helps Runt defeat Urkk, then reveals that she had the highest score all along. I especially like that twist. Way to go, CK!
Haters have no reason to leave a one or two star for this book. It's perfect. Seriously! Oh, and as for the old man million-dollar question, I'm also guessing Urf. The one and only great-bearded noob. I know no other characters that could be as wimpy and stalkerish as him.
Um...lastly...I'm a little shy to ask....but could you add me in your books someday......? Under the name Lucent...........? I would love it if you did............ :) ....................

I also liked this book because it was very connected and similar to the last book in the series. I think it was funny for the Author to think like a Villager who wants to be a warrior. I also think Runt (the Villager) making a baby slime his pet is funny. I also think Runt making a potion of leaping II and rocket-blasting into the air is funny. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
Again, I am shocked at how much I enjoyed re-reading this. The story and mystery is so well-written for a book like this. 😂💛 And Breeze got introduced!! I loved her as a kid, lol! Runt is still an awesome protagonist, and I'm excited to re-read book 3. I'm giving this one five stars, I loved it.
This book is epic you don't need to be a Minecraft fan highly recommended I love it please read i really want you to i bought this for my 10 year old son and he says it's not much like Minecraft he's loving it.
Physical book, read with my 6yo son. I had fun with this one, and it seemed like a faster read than the first. Possibly that's just because we read more each night. I don't actually know. We put thre 3rd on hold for our bedtime reading after we're finished with the Trapped in a Video Game series!
it's really good. it's very exciting. the main character *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* (never mind). I like it because Minecraft is fun and it's about Minecraft.
This is the second book in the Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior series. I was a big fan of the first book in the series, and I think this book improves greatly upon the first book's story. This book was especially immersing. This book made me really feel for the issues that this town has, and it made me really care about the characters. This book was filled with thrilling moments, and it gave me a lot of vastly entertaining material. Very impressed by this book.
Runt and Max are a great duo. I found the Minecraft school elements to be very entertaining, especially because of all the students' competition. Runt's goal of becoming a warrior is very inspiring and noble. This book just takes the previous book material and amps it up to an electrifying, awe-inspiring experience. I don't want to spoil too much of the contents of the story, but I'd definitely recommend this book series if you're familiar with Minecraft.

Again, I loved the style as it continued from last one and I almost liked how so many things started adding up suddenly and many mysteries were solved and the climax of the series so far had begun. I really like this book and the series so far. Additionally, the book this time was more of one of those mystery and suspense books this time which include the big battle in the village (thats all i’ll say i dont want to spoil much). Anyways, you should read this.

Book 2 in the Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior series is filled with action and adventure. The villagers have been training to become warriors, with concerns of an impending attack on the village by unknown mobs. Their fears may be realized quicker than they'd hoped, and their skills put to the test. Runt continues to strive to take first place in his training classes, even while battling his rivals on a more personal level as dirty tricks are played to overtake each other.
These books are easy to read, with illustrations that support the character and plot developments. Character interactions and relationships are a slow build that spans the books, and the introduction of Earthlings who find themselves pulled into the game they love adds an emotional dimension to the story. Everything is written in simple enough terms for the younger reader without taking away the emotional connections.
Minecraft gamers can't go wrong with this series, particularly those in the elementary school age group. My nephew is very excited to read about his Minecraft characters as real people with real thoughts. I also think this is a fun introduction of the game for non-players. After reading the first two books in the series, I played my first game of Minecraft and enjoyed it. It makes the tie ins with gameplay in the book, including all of the drawings and record book snapshots, more obvious and more relevant.
From seeds to swords, noobs to pros and villagers to warriors. The second book in the Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior series continues right where the other one left off, with Runt hearing a noise in his mob spawning box! What could be in there? A cave spider? Zombie cow? Or even the fabled Poo Screamer? Whatever it is, Runt's in for a surprise.
And not just that; a new bully arises, leading Runt into a new friendship with his ex-nemesis, Max. Meanwhile he also has to deal with a strange blue haired girl that seems to spy on him and a new combat teacher who enjoys yelling...
The story is equally as good as the first book, with creative writing, funny dialogue and more expansion to the 8-Bit Warrior universe.
August 2021 Review
I am rereading this series and I have to say, these are definitely the best Minecraft books I've ever read. I have read a good amount of Minecraft books and there's a lot I haven't read, but I am willing to say this is the best Minecraft series out there! Filled with excitement, adventure, jokes this book is hilarious and really fun. I definitely recommend it to anyone that plays Minecraft. And maybe even to people who don't. I first read this series a few years ago before I even played Minecraft and I really enjoyed it!
Diary Of An Eight-Bit Warrior, An Unofficial Minecraft Adventure by Cube Kid, is all about Runt the main character going to school and trying to become a warrior, but his parents want him to be a farmer like them. But becoming a warrior isn't all he should worry about. Pebble, his rival and bad-guy-of-the-book, is always doing mean things to Runt. Urf the wizard and dummy-and-later-bad-guy-of-the-book took one of Pebbles healing potions (that he often chugged) and changed it to a confusion 3 potion. A potion changes the effects of your character. Minecraftia follows the basic rules of Minecraft except (Warning: spoilers alert) Minecraftia is a real world. For example humans from our world have been brought to Mincraftia by Notch the wizard. This is a well-written book. I like how Runt is telling the story to you, Like, “You surely know’’ and “I’ll give you a hint’’ or ‘’I won't write about this and that in here’’. It also gives me the feeling that I am in the book. I also like the way that Cube Kid added the new weapons and armor in the story. It is true that the book doesn't have much to it, because it is more of a kids’ book. But I kept reading it over and over because I am a kid. :) by Adventure Bow age 10

The adventures of Runt the villager who wants to be a warrior continue! This time not only is his good friend Stump by his side, but he has Max and Breeze too. Plus a pet baby slime. Mobs attack the village and it's up to the warriors in training to stop them.
An action packed book with all the humor of the first one. Runt really doesn't want to be a farmer like his parents and strives hard to be the best in school. He's still picked on and has a creepy stalker girl following him, but at least he has a few good friends. The mobs are getting smarter and they manage to breach the walls. The fights are epic. My seven-year-old son loved reading about them. He thinks Runt is clever how he won the boss battle.
A ton of my friends have these books, and they seem to really like the books. But since they were so popular, every time I went to the library, I ended up checking out some fluffy fluffy cinnamoroll comics But then, I got this book, and after reading one chapter, I was like "one more page" I read much more than a page. I saw immediately why do many people loved it. It takes place in Minecraft, my favorite game. I rated this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because it has Minecraft, and a person who has big dreams like me 🙂
Hi there for all those people looking for good books out there this is one of them and you should really try it, one up about this book is that it’s on kindle unlimited another one is that it’s based of Minecraft and is a little more different from the actual game.
This book was even better than the first one! The information was very interesting, but the story was harder to understand since more characters was added to the story. If the first book didn't get you interested, maybe this book will.
I thought the book was great! It has many exciting twists and I couldn't tear myself away. Throughout the book I felt for Runt, and the detail made me so immersed in the book.
It was awesome! I thought the boss battle was going to be a robot enderman that fired lasers out of its mouth but it was something completely different.
