Naseha was born in a town encapsulated by two rivers, inhabited by people who celebrate on the face of natural calamities. It is a one-millennium old city, Cuttack which breathes of tales if only one can listen. Silent starry nights, noisy cracking dawn, lazy afternoon loaded with champak odor, giggling evening and early retreat of the day, all planted seeds of stories in her. After Master's Degree, she moved to the hustling metropolis of Gurgaon where she crunched numbers and provides realistic strategies to corporates for a living. Once out of office, she quickly became the dreamer that she is and starts writing while watching the foggy, slumber like morning of the metropolis that she fell in love the moment she stepped in Gurgaon. After 14 years, life gave her an opportunity to move to a new city. She parted with Gurgaon as friends and has moved to the city of Pearls, Hyderabad to make the city her own and her, a part of the city.

Her anthology of poems, Ruby Drops is Amazon Best Seller in Poetry.

Her book Heir - End of Innocence, is a winner of Author Page awards for for Best Debut and Best Woman Writer

For her, she believes her journey has just started.

"But then what do I paint and why in alien land.Where everybody speaks in alien tongue -- who would then understand."

Ruby Drops by Naseha Sameen of 92 pages is a compedium of deep heartfelt ineffable emotions. Life has become a tale of woe which almost everyone suffers but alone. And this is what make life seems unbearable. Only if others could feel what we are feeling and we could understand what others are feeling. Might seem very complex but is truly what will free us from the shackles of this agony. The author has encountered similar experience which she had fought back. And this book is her gift or means for other people enduring the same distress, to help them overcome.
The first chapter itself with the title "Rain" is about someone whose elusiveness to speak out aloud their feelings and emotions to the world is compelling them to tell the rain to fall hard and strongly to the ground becoming their voice till they are released of those emotions.
Now speaking about the cover of the book, it shows the depthness of thinking of the author. She has chosen sky blue as the major colour for cover which is often associated with depth and stability. She has also used a tagline "Reflections of a Rainbow on a Ripple" which is very significant as rainbows are often seen after a rainstorm when the sun breaks through the clouds. This provides us with a very powerful and important message.
This book is good, worth and important enough to spend time or money on.

The book is just not a set of poems but a set of emotions, which is needed to fight against an evil called "depression". In today's life depression is that disease which is surrounded and engulfed its net to every age group whether a child, teenager, youngster or an old person. Every age group is suffering from this evil. If talk about this book as the title of the book is Ruby drops, as we know ruby is precious gem stone, and according to this book the poetess is suffering from depression, and she is fighting against it in different manners. She is trying everything to overcome it. She has compared her tear drops with ruby drops. It states that our tears are not the waste that we need to waste them, they are precious gems, which are not need to be wasted.

"But then what do I paint and why in alien land.Where everybody speaks in alien tongue -- who would then understand"
The literature are often said as the "spontaneous flow of powerful emotions recollected in tranquility" this is what exactly I felt when I read this. The author has done justice to its title in all aspects.
Ruby Drops is not an anthology of poems. They are cries of soul and happiness dropped from eyes as tears. They are witness to flights of freedom and testimony of shackles. Life is but a rainbow, made of smile and tears, so are the Ruby Drops. These are feeling of a girl growing up. Often depression is misunderstood or people suffering from depression are misinterpreted, but in reality depression is not being sad, it's being nothing. In that nothingness the book gains importance.
This words will soothe you.

All poems are really good and valuable too, few of my favorites such as Forgotten Memory, Thirsty Lips, Unspoken Words, Lonely Heart, Goes On, Am Here and December etc., And my favorite lyrics is

"For Once, for once
Give me a night's sleep

Let my young but weary bones
Feel the rustle of silk

For once let my soul feel
Smile on lips without any dread"

Amazing collection of poems.

Book Name- Ruby Drops: Reflection of a Rainbow on Ripples
Author- Naseha Sameen
Review- Ruby drops is a collection of poems. The book unveils poems reflecting different emotions. The poems express different feelings which the author has tried to convey through the words penned down. A few lines which can express a lot of emotions have been portrayed in the book. Sometimes it is very difficult to express emotions and the words which speak beyond emotions are the best way to speak our heart out. The poems mentioned in the book ease the readers heart as some complex feelings are expressed in the simplest way with effective narration. It is a unique collection of poems as all tackle a different set of feelings which leads the reader to calmness. It is a must read for everyone as it is a delightful read.

Good read

The book is the collection of poems that talks about depression and how the poems help the author to get out from it. Here, poems are written in a very amazing manner that talks about life, death, time, future and many more. I like one thing about the poems that not only they give us a new hope but also shows the emotions expressed in it and shows us a new form of life. Start from the beginning to the end poems mentioned here shows as the part of it. Title of the book is perfectly suitable. Humans have to fight with a lot of things in life. Depression is one of the problem we face in life. Through the book you can feel yourself as a part of it and can come out of it.

• The Promise
• Protectors
• The Choice

I highly recommend this book to everyone who let themselves be absorbed in the book.

I was not prepared for something like this. It is a roller coaster ride of emotions. One one hand - 'I Opt for Curse' is Nihilistic, 'Sublime Visage' celebrates being a woman, 'Dark Angel' is almost like a hymn, then 'Burning Desire' is about ambition. If 'Scream' is voice of Pain then 'Companion' is an ode to love. I have not yet completed the book, there are more poems to read, but nevertheless as much as I have read, this has left a deep impression. This does not seem a work that was planned and written for publication, it is brutally honest.
