I got this story in exchange for an honest review. The best way that I can describe this story is that is a mix of ‘Like Water for Chocolate’ meets ‘Beauty and the Beast’ meets ‘Enough’! I absolutely loved this story. After being fired from her job, while at home talking to her grandmother, she comes across an article in a magazine about his beers and she’s instantly taken with the man and through a series of happy accidents, she finds herself in Bright Falls. Connor, Clay’s second dreams of his mate and one day his “Dream Girl” comes walking into his brewery. She’s everything he wants, beautiful, lush, and a chef. She is the other half to his handsome, buff, brew master. As soon as they meet, the sparks fly. She didn’t tell him right away about the life and ex she fled until he showed up trying to take her back and insinuate himself into her life. This story was sweet, sexy, feisty, and there were parts that made you hold your breath to see what would happen. When you met her ex, Roger, you just wanted to see the worst things happen to him because he was a real piece of work. I loved how the story ended. I can’t wait to see whom the next bear will be to get mated! I also wonder about Maddox’s story?

This is the second book in Bella Carson book series. It was a fun read just like the first book. I'm looking forward to reading more in the series.

“A recipe for Danger: first, take one curvy, fiery chef, and then add one hot, lonely bear shifter tormented by sexy dreams, and finally add an insane vampire ex-boyfriend who refuses to let go…Oh my, what a tale.” Quote from synopsis of book.

This is the first book I have read by Bella Carson and I have to say that I really did like the book. I am partial to bear shifters; they are my favorite paranormal shifter.  Why? I think the bear shifters are more lovable, and family oriented, and they generate AWESOME happily ever after’s. Just my opinion though. I really liked how Bella had other paranormal creatures in the book, and not just shifters. The really awesome part was the BEAR SHIFTER’s kicked ASS and took names!!!! Now that is an awesome book in my eyes. Now from an aspect where I grade my review of the book. Her book “Fire Bear: In the Blood” grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Loved where the chef Lettie is being taken for granted by her vampire boyfriend. The story line to this book plays into this causing her to leave and go to her destiny without her even realizing what she was doing. All the characters, even the secondary characters worked right into the story line which was fantastic. My attention was grabbed from the beginning of the book, to the very end of the book and oh, boy what an ending. This is a book you do not want to miss. Now I am going to go buy the first book in the series so I can see where the Alpha’s mate comes into play in the story. Grab them and READ them. You will not be disappointed! This book is recommended for mature readers 18 years of age and older because of the violence and gut wrenching SEX!!! Trust me, it is powerful!!!!!!

Lettie Madrigal is a chef and she is good at what she does. She has a boyfriend who is literally draining the life out of her and that is because he is a vampire. When her vampire boyfriend Roger does what she asks him not to do, feed from her, because a very important food critic was to be at the restaurant where she works and she needed to be on the top of game, he gets her fried, because she is to week and can’t do her job properly. That is when Lettie decides to head to Bright Falls, Washington to see what it has to offer after reading an article in a magazine she had no idea where it came from about a brewery and its owner Connor Douglas. Boy does she get the shock of her life and it is changed forever when she meets the owner of the brewery. He is every bit as handsome as he was in the article she read and the blue eyes of his made her feel things she shouldn’t be feeling after just having met him for the first time.

Connor Douglas is a bear shifter and owner of Brewsa Major Beer Brewery, and he is the Alpha’s Second in Command over the Smoke Skin Crew. He is beginning to think he will never find his fated mate, and that means he could very well succumb to the deadly loneliness that happened to shifters who were unable to find their fated mate before time ran out. Since the Alpha has a new mate it has been hard for Connor to ignore the loneliness he’s feeling and he feels as though he is coming apart at the seams. He starts to dream about a gorgeous, curvy woman with blue-black hair, and yet he can’t seem to stop dreaming about her. He wishes that he could stop, but then Lettie walks into his brewery and he is shocked when he sees that his dream girl is real and standing right in front of him. He can’t believe that she is a chef and she sure could cook, and her food was almost magical.

As the old saying goes “All good things have to come to an end” and they did when her crazy ex-boyfriend, the vampire Roger shows up trying to take her away from Connor and her new found family. Roger is very insistent on taking back his food bank so to speak. Connor and Lettie feel as though everything is ripping them apart. Will they manage to stay together? Will Connor and Lettie be able to survive Roger’s deadly attempts to get Lettie back? Will Lettie be able to live with the fact there are more than just vampires in the world and that includes the magic in her blood?

No Spoilers. A definite must read. ARC free book given for an honest review.

Giving a book 5 stars is a pretty big deal to me. There has to be certain aspects in a read to even be good but there are even more necessities to be excellent.

What I find excellent is details. They're very important when weaving a tale. They help you become immersed in a world that an author wants you to enjoy.

That is exactly what Bella has done. I didn't get to read the first book in this series but with the details given I didn't absolutely need it all that much. I will be going back though!

Anyhow... We have a story with supernatural creatures who normally aren't mixed together. So have vampires and bear shifters together in a read is very fresh.

I love the bear shifter element because they embody strong character and fierce natures. Sometimes a girl just needs that. Lettie especially.

Having ended a relationship with a vampire who seems to be possessive in a way that's not attractive, she leaves home to find herself. She also finds Connor, a bear shifter. A shifter who wants Lettie like he's never wanted anyone or anything before. They have an automatic connection through their foodie ways but also in their attraction to each other.

As they get to know each other their interest and love grows as well. The way they can and will fight for each other is amazing and necessary when a vampire (ahem!) cant let go.

I truly did enjoy this story and am excited for what can come next!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Lettie Madrigal is a professional chef in Los Angeles, but has lost her passion for cooking, life, and pretty much everything. Lettie has been unfocused and off her game at work, and unfortunately it doesn't go unnoticed and Lettie gets fired. Lettie's current boyfriend, Roger is a vampire and visited Lettie the night before she went to work, wanting to feed from her and Lettie refused him. When she wakes the next morning, she is completely unable to focus and get through the day. She suspects that Roger fed on her without her permission. Roger claims that her blood is special and he needs it. Lettie is still in her funk when she gets a call from her grandmother, then things take a turn for the better when she catches an ad for a home-brewing contest and the handsome brewmaster, Connor Douglas. Lettie gets the idea that she has to meet Connor so they can combine his brewing skills with her cooking skills to open a joint business. Connor is a bear shifter who begins to have erotic dreams about a woman, Lettie-the dreams indicate to him that Lettie may be his fated mate. After the two meet, sparks fly. Lettie pitches her idea. And Connor knows he has met his match. Then, Roger comes to wreak havoc on the couple's happiness.

This was a decent book. I did enjoy it, but had a hard time getting into it. This can be read as a stand-alone, but if you are like me you may find the beginning a bit confusing. The beginning seems to have several references to the first book (which I haven't read). And the introduction to several characters that made it a bit of a challenge. And there was a scene that just didn't seem to add anything to the main story. The book had a slow start for me and it did take a bit for me to get into it.

Once I got to the"meat" of the book I did really enjoy it. Lettie is a wonderful character that I truly got a kick out of. And Conner is the kind of mate any woman would be thrilled to have. It would be nice to see the rest of the crew find their mates, but I think there is a very interesting story behind Maddox.

This is a really quick steamy read. There were some elements that I really enjoyed in this book like how Lettie's magic worked even when she didn't realize she was doing anything at all, and how both Lettie and Connor were so connected by their both being foodies. The romance aspect of this story was a little slow starting but once it got going it got steamy pretty quickly. It was a little hard understanding at first why Lettie's old boyfriend Roger could not seem to let go of her, but in the end it all made sense to me. This book works well as a stand-alone, but there are some references to an earlier release that might have made some things make a little more sense. Overall this was a really good read and I will be checking for other releases by this author in the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. . Lettie is a chef who has no idea there is more to her then she even knows... When she sees an article about a brewmaster in Washington she feels such a pull to him and the idea of going into business with him she takes off to find him and get away from an ex who is literally sucking the life out of her... When she finds Connor she can't believe the overwhelming feeling of home and safety she feels.. But her Ex is not giving up too essily and she fears her new found family is in danger... This was a great true mate love story with a bit of danger and a lot of sexy shifters. .. I look forward to reading more of this series. .

Good read

I enjoyed reading this book. I feel like there's three other crews that I can get to know about . I'm very interested in learning about the other crews that and their mates to see what happened this seems to be a beginning of a phenomenal series. And I would really like to know what's up with Maddox and why he doesn't talk and what happened to his mate so you have the potential for quite a few interesting stories.

This was my first book by this author and my first in the Bright Falls Bears Series. It was so good!! I don't want to include any spoilers. Chef Lettie Madrigal , a blood sucking ex (literally he's a vampire), and Bear Shifter Connor Douglas are the main characters. This author's writing abilities had me glued to my Kindle to see if a HEA could be kept. You'll have to read it to discover what I did and trust me you won't be disappointed!

Great second book to this series. It could be read as a stand-alone, but I would strongly recommend reading book 1 first (You will not be disappointed) Sexy Alpha shifters and curvy women what more could you want?! This book includes a twist I didn't see coming and kept up with the steam factor from book 1. Loved it can not wait for more from the crew!!

This was a very good book. There were a couple spots I thought were slow, but worth working through. Poor Lettie having to deal with Roger but luckily not to often at the start. Enjoyed how Lettie and Conner felt about each other when they actually met. Really enjoyed the part where Roger got his just desserts.
