Retired quarterback Seth Blake is looking forward to the next chapter of his life with Morgan and the kids on the Twelve Horseshoes ranch. But when an old family friend and owner of the Texas Tomcats asks him to have a chat with Riley Sloane, his troubled star quarterback, Seth is reluctant to get back into the game and the celebrity that comes with it. Riley is arrogant and a wildcard, yet Seth can’t help but see a little of himself in the budding superstar—even if the two of them can't stop butting heads long enough for Seth to keep his promise. Even worse, a family crisis quickly forces him to put the brakes on his future to be there for those he loves.
While Morgan Blake is happy that the family has settled into ranch living, part of her misses the hustle and bustle of her old life in Philadelphia. As she tries to get her footing again and oversee the expansion of another bookstore, an unforeseen crisis arises that threatens everything. As she struggles to deal with the changes in her life, she fears Seth will put his career plans on hold indefinitely to be there for the family. She's desperate to find a way to keep Seth from putting off a new career opportunity, even as her world begins to crumble around her...
I just love reading about the Blake family and friends
They represent what a family should be, loving, supportive and close knit. This is a lesson that TK Holbrook is finally learning even at his advanced age, and since Riley Sloane is still young, he'll will benefit in the long run from Seth's tutilage. The Blake boys had a excellent example to follow in their father John Jake and the nurturing of a wonderful mother Teri Lynne. Future stories about Seth's new role with the Tom Cats will be interesting. Morgan's adjustment to life with Lupus and managing a new bookstore and a family foundation along with family needs will certainly bring some interesting stories to come.
Off Season (The Blame Boy's Book 15) is a very good and sweet interracial romance that earned a rating of five stars. This episode of the Blake Boys is an enjoyable read as the other Blake Boy's novellas. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading very good interracial romantic books.
This series has become so much and the characters in the story have become someone you like and want to win. This was such a very entertaining story and I love how Seth and Morgan handle the events in there lives. This was not only about family but it was about the strength of two people a nd their love.I so am going to hate when this series finally ends, but there is always the c children to look forward to and I a m certain there will be some curve balls thrown in along the way.
The Blake Saga continues! I laughed...I cried...and laughed again! The Blake universe continues to grow and I can't wait till the next Blake Boy gets his "happily ever after."
Seth and Morgan are my heart and this story did not disappoint. They continue to successfully navigate living and loving as part of the Blake brood. I have read every story in this series more than once and have enjoyed each and every one.
I really enjoyed this book and as usual I am not disappointed, the family and friends are for me a joy to read their story and their journey. I am looking forward to more...it's time for Michelle and Tyler to start their own little family now.
One of my ALL-TIME Favorite Couples....I don't have the words to describe how GREAT this book is, and the emotional upheaval that was delivered from the diagnosis. Then the surprise guest on the conference call....RHONDA LAUREL, You Absolutely Did It Again!!!!!
This was my 1st time reading anything from this author. I must admit I like her style. Since it was my first, keeping up with all the characters were a little hard, but I got the jist of most of them. Rhonda could become another one of my favorite authors
I really the latest installment of the Blakes. I love how Seth was so loving and attentive to Morgan and the children. Hope Riley and Avery get to know each other better. Great read.
Great update story on the Blakes, Reeds, and their families. Oh the stories that Jake, Conner, Colby, Matthew, Owen, Jack, Gabriel, and Mackenzie will give us!
