Gamble True is fighting a shadow war- literally- in the streets of Fort Worth...
And she's fighting blind.
Gamble and her friends have suffered devastating losses at the hands of their newest enemy and one of their own has gone missing. In order to get him back and regain the upper hand in the fight, she'll have to put her trust in some new allies, and prove that she's finally come to terms with who - and what- she is.
I don't know if this is the ending of the series, but where it ended would be a good ending point or it could keep going.
This is a good series. There is no swearing, no sex. The main character is a woman that is trying to find herself with many obstacles to get through. The family aspect of the story really comes out in the 3rd book.
I have recommended this book and series to friends. I would also say this book could be read by 13-15 age level and be fine. There are a lot of elements in the book that are not of the norm. Physics, shape shifter's, elemental's, and a vampire. It is not a sappy love story, but there is a friendship that turns into something more.
