Most of us race through life, unable to enjoy the present because we’re weighed down by the past or worried about the future. High Hopes offers insights that will allow you to slow the daily rush and enjoy your life, moment by moment. Patrick Lindsay prompts us to lift our spirits by simplifying our lives, embracing our humanity, sparking our imaginations and inspiring ourselves and those around us.
Patrick Lindsay came to Texas by way of Missouri, Canada, and California and has been proud to call the Lone Star State his home for more than forty years now. He retired in 2017 from “another life” as a CPA, whereafter he turned his hand to writing.
He has read just about everything by Louis L’Amour and first decided to give Western writing a try on his initial day of retirement. He has been writing ever since and loves the idea that so many people get enjoyment from his work.
Patrick and his wife Michelle live on a cattle ranch near Fort Worth along with cows, horses, chickens, and a very spoiled Great Pyrenees dog. He is an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals in baseball and the Kansas City Chiefs in football.
I love this book! Each page is different. At the end of each page, the author included a quote that related to the page. My favorite page is the one related to pets.
I did really enjoy this book. It did what it was supposed to do -- it lifted my spirit. However, the feel of the book was cheap and unfinished. There were a couple of typos.
