Sarah Winters: Finding a Path

Rate this book
Sarah Winters is standing at the crossroads of her life's path.

A major life decision needs to be made and soon.

She has graduated from High School and now is the time where the real business of career direction starts. Her father, John Winters, is a founding partner of one of Chicago's most prestigious law firms and her mother, Wilma Winters, is a prominent Realtor of inner city commercial and residential properties.

They are an established power couple well known in the city's elite circles of wealth, politics and high society.

They expect big things for their only child and both parents want Sarah to follow their aspirational lead.

Sarah is unsure, she knows that when she makes a decision she'll give it her all and will aim for the top and be the best in her field; it's all she knows how to do. Her academic success has ensured her a place in any of the Ivy League colleges.

But try as she may; she can't decide.

Sarah takes a gap year to travel to Europe and hopefully a revelation will strike her like a bolt of lightning, revealing to her a pre-ordained destiny and career direction. Well, that's the plan anyway, or alternatively, she'll happily resign herself to wandering international Youth Hostels until she discovers her passion and purpose in life.

That's when she meets Leon.

Is Leon a good Samaritan, a godsend in her desperate hour of need? Is he Sarah's long awaited kindred spirit and soulmate she wants to spend the rest of her life with, or something else more sinister?

Sarah Winters is a novella story of a young woman's desire to find balance and purpose in her life. For Sarah, finding a career to pursue and falling in love is the best of both worlds.

the plot was good and the book was easy reading, but I was disappointed in finding that the ending...well, there was no ending! If we want to discover what happens to Sarah and what path she'll take, we have to read the sequel....

While the story was interesting, it was marred by many grammatical errors. Single sentences had both present and past tense. There were also many missing quotation marks. I recommend a good editor, every authors best friend.

I wanted to like it.

I'm glad it was short. It had potential. Maybe more detail. Maybe spell check. I'm not sure what it would take for me to read this author again.
