Awesome story that needs to be told

People watch fictional super hero movies to feel a sense of fulfillment when the forces of justice prevail over evil, but they have no idea that true human heroes exist. Many of their stories are not widely known, but here is one not just of the author, but of a group of his friends and indeed, everyone who believed in the values of peace, justice, and freedom in Iraq during the wars of the 2000's. They fought for what they believed in, defended the weak, and sacrificed much. Their stories should be known and should inspire us to defend our freedom and families. May God avenge the fallen warriors and punish the wicked and corrupt,

An Inside Story

If you are interested in what happened in Iraq and what is happening today from the point of view of a young man in a unique circumstance then this is a book for you. It cannot give you the whole story, no single story can, but it will give one part of the puzzle.

Amazing

Really loved how the book came together and how well the author told his story. Wish there would have been more to it but all in all I rate it 5 stars.

Written from the Heart!

Should be read by all those who admire courage! Just a small town guy who puts his life in the line to help beat the enemy at their own game!!

I first heard of his story on YouTube and it was pretty incredible. I have read stories from the American side and am starting to be pretty informed about GWOT and COIN.

This is the first time I've read from an Iraqi's perspective and shown how much information you can learn from taking another perspective.

He is pretty blunt about certain things which an American would never say. I appreciate the bluntness and helped further my opinion on COIN and Iraq.

He is a respectable/capable guy and fits the name the Pro-American.

This was such a quick read. I felt like I was sitting down with Hamdoy, listening to his story. It's an honest look at his time pre-Iraq war and during the Iraq war. You really get the sense of what it was like for people living there, and how much it meant to those who wanted change to have Americans come and provide help. What an incredible challenge. I enjoyed every moment of this book.

one of the best books i've ever read I have read this book four times and each time I seem to "read" something missed before . It's a book I couldn't put down till I finished it . The details and missions in the book aren't anything this "mother " ever set out to read, but - must have needed to know what was going on .
Thank you, Mr. Hamody Jasim, SGT Maj..... for your bravery, your skills and your protection to our American soldiers and women .
Looking fwd to seeing this on the "big screen " ..... "when it's time, it is time " !......!
Thanks for your service to America and for putting all this into written word ! Great job !
Definitely FIVE STAR !

I just got done reading Hamody's youth in Iraq growing up in deadly environment and over coming Saddam's and al-Qaeda plan .
A great read and that Stephanie J Branam needs to realize it's a nonfiction book, meaning that was his life..
Patriotism, justice, and the American..no humane way.. Especially from a born, and raised Iraq person.
I strongly recommend to purchase this book to find out the true history of the long war and the future of Isis infidels, and diversecity between the Muslim faith.

Proof reading before publishing would have been a good thing.

Needs proof read. A lot of spelling, grammatical and syntax errors.
I appreciate the authors efforts in the war on terror though.
