The day he was sent to kill her was lucky for both of them. Lucky In the Army they called me the Patron Saint of Death. Now I’m back home in the Irish Mafia, killing whoever they tell me to and screwing whoever I want. The one thing I don’t do is care. I meant to kill Mia quickly, as a mercy … until she saved my life. She’s helpless, naïve, barely more than a kid. I should dump her somewhere and be rid of her. But she pulls at something deep inside -- a part of me I thought was dead forever. I’m not sure I can let her go. Or if I even want to. Mia He was meant to be my death. Now he’s my life. Without him, I’m lost -- a pawn in an ugly game. Knowing who he is -- what he is -- doesn’t change the way I feel. He draws me like a magnet. I couldn’t stay away even if I wanted to. It's simple, really. I’d rather die at his side than live without him.
This story definitely throws you for a loop. So many ups and downs. Mia has her whole life upended in one night. Her family is murdered and she is set to be raped tortured and used as a bargaining chip. But just as lucky decides he is going to do a kindness to her and kill her to prevent that she sees his partner try to kill him, warning lucky. So he takes her with him. She save him, so he saved her. This the adventure begins. Watching him open up was adorable. And so hilarious watching her go from cute girl to hit man. Their hot steamy moments and his sweet moments once he realizes he loves her. Loved it.
Lucky and Mia were an interesting couple - an 18-year-old virgin and the hitman sent to kill her. He ends up rescuing her from his partner after she warns him of his partner's betrayal. Of course, it isn't smooth sailing, but it isn't rough waters either. The majority of the conflict comes from the couple getting out of trouble with the mobsters that sent him to kill her in the first place so that they can escape to a new beginning. I've read Sean Moriarity's books with Izzy Sweet, and those are some of my favorites. I was happy to see that this one on his own was pretty good too.

I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved Lucky and Mia. This book is fast paced and keeps you interested the whole time. I read it in one sitting. Lucky is a hitman that was suppose to kill Mia. So naturally you'd think he'd be easy to dislike. But I really loved his character. The back and forth between the two was great.
Okay, suspend belief and you will enjoy this book. A hit man who gets tamed by his intended target. Kind of silly but it captures you. The couple are engaging and Mia in particular is pretty funny. Go for it.
Didn’t finish. This story has loads of potential but the author really needs some Beta readers or something. The writing style was really poor in some parts and the punctuation was atrocious.
Vernacular between the two, especially her was stilted & irregular. Mia went from crying, to talking normally, to screaming in his face at one point. I couldn’t go on, sorry Author 🤷🏽♀️
I'm not going to lie I had so much fun reading this book, I laughed alot. A Stone Cold killer meet the love of his life, Great Job on their story, I'm giving this book 5 stars.
In the brink of a eye love and death can walk in. This is a gripping story, but as always God made man and made him to know love always win out. Great read the more know these guys, more you just like them.
I think this was my first actual hitman romance. I loved this book! It had the heat, and passion I crave in a romance and the added element of the violence and blood which made it a darker type of romance that I have come to crave. I loved this! Can't wait to read more by this author.
I love the characters and universes Sean creates. They pull you in and before you know it you've read the entire book in one setting because you can't put it down.
Ok wow, I never thought sweet little Mia would turn temporary hit women. So funny (not funny) talks about torture and castration… She definitely made the epilogue funny
Well this was a blast. I didn't think Lucky and Maria could ever be safe. I laughed every time she wondered how she could be so attracted to Lucky, knowing what he is.
I received an ARC for an honest review. What happens when you wake up to a sick bastard gagging you and whispering sick detail what he is going to do to you? What happens when someone your supposed to take out as part of a job warns you of impending danger seconds before it can hit? Can an eighteen year old girl tip an ex military Irish mob hitman' world upside down without making him mad enough to change his mind about wiping her out? Really good book and a pretty fast read.
The story is a really good mix of romance and action. It starts out with quite a bang and keeps you interested. There is also humor too as Mia tends to have interesting responses to what is going on. Lucky never expected someone like Mia to enter his life and change him so much. They make a great couple. It is a lot of fun and adventure with these two on the run from those who want them dead.
I received this arc free for an honest review. Wow what can I say, this book had you gripped from the start and continue to keep your interest through out this book, This book had great characters that came to life through out the storyline, they developed as time went on. It was brilliant. I would highly recommend this book, 18+ of course.
This was an ok book. Some of the romance was a little far fetched to me but in romantic suspense, the romance aspect is usually instalove. That didn't detract from the story. It kept me engaged and it was enjoyable. 3 stars.
This is the first book that I have read by Sean Moriarty. This is a great book. It sucks you in from the beginning. They could not have made a better couple. It has a very pleasing ending.
