As a Navy SEAL, it’s my job to plan and protect.

I guard my home and my family. I even tried to guard my heart, but Clara Elms broke down my walls, and now I have to rethink my strategy.

I was prepared to fight the militia spreading throughout the city, but now the threats are coming from all directions. Including Clara’s past and from within my own twisted family. Now that she’s mine, I’m twice as desperate to make sure we all make it out of this mess alive.

I came to New Orleans for a simple reason.

Six years was a long time to be under someone else’s control.

The problem is that I ran from one man straight to another. Well…Jeremiah Lane didn’t exactly welcome me with open arms. Not at first.

But unlike my crazy ex who continues to pursue me, Miah doesn’t wish to control me, only protect me. Especially after I become the villains’ next target.

To make matters more complicated, I get a call that changes life as I know it.

3.5 stars. I liked this book too. Not quite as much as Wyatt but still good. I think the reason I didn't like this one as much was because it felt so unfinished. The stories definitely need to be read in order as the background story carries on throughout all of the books while each is about a different couple. It was a safe book though. Celibate hero once he realizes he wants the h. The h has an ex that shows up in the story but she is definitely over him. No OW show up at all. I love Jude (Lane brothers mom). She is a trip.

I read a few reviews before I decided to read this one, so I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I actually enjoyed it just as much as WYATT. Thankfully Miah pulled his head out of his ass fairly quickly!

Now Jace's book, I am not sure about. I not a huge fan of the H/h using each other, but we'll see I guess..

Compared to the first book in this series (Wyatt ), Miah just wasn't as good. I felt the romance/couple time was sparce. As with the first book, there is an ongoing back story that takes over. In my opionion it was a safe read. The heat level would be low. Their story just basically stops and the epilogue is a set up for the next book. I'm not sure if I will continue this series which is a bummer because I enjoyed Wyatt.

Miah is the second book of the Lane Brothers series. It wasn't as good as Wyatt's story. I feel like it was unfinished, there could have been a lot more to know. However it was a sweet story between the main characters.

I love this whole series! This family is out of this world. You won't be able to stop reading. Going from book 1, followed by book 2 etc.. buy them all and keep them handy.

This was an enjoyable read.

Jeremiah (Miah) Lane is Wyatt's brother from book one. Clara is Ellie's friend and has moved to New Orleans be near her and also to get away from her ex. She has known Miah for one year, but is under the impression he does not like her. Which is exactly what Miah wants her to believe. He actually is very interested in her and has been since he first saw here a year ago, but is involved in a case to uncover corruption in the police department as well as keeping track of the other side of the family who have a vendetta against them.

He is tired of fighting his feelings for Clara and decides they will be in a relationship. He isn't OTT crazy like Wyatt, but he is pretty demanding and possessive. He is quickly able to get Clara right where he wants her because her past catches up to her. Clara is happy to be with Miah because she feels safe and because she has very strong feelings for him.

All the Lane family is very present in this book and they are hilarious.
This book has more action then the first book as the brothers and cousins are constantly working on investigations, trying to uncover potential threats from the other side of the family, and trying to figure out who is after Clara.

Short sexy read with some drama and suspense.

Good read

This is a good series and Miah and Clara's story is the second in the Lane Brothers, all of the Lanes are very Alpha males and need to own their ladies, they are fierce and passionate and romantic. Great storyline and lots of hot sex. Plus the bonus books which unfortunately are the same as the ones with book one.

The story lines are confusing. I'm starting to wonder if there was a prequel or something. I'm just trying to figure out who has done what to whom. There are just too many story lines happening. Despite the fact I do not like to be confused when reading a book I am liking this family even if these men are off their rockers.

I feel like this was a very long prequel. Miah and Clari's story was small and quick comparing to Wyatt's and the long ongoing back story. Not alot of heat in the book. Also not as OTT as Wyatts. Clean easy read.

When Miah fell he fell hard. Clara thought she was just in lust, but once again she was proven wrong. I can't wait to read Jace's story.
