This book is for YOU.Achieve everything you've ever wanted with NOW by Sultan Ahmed. This book will inspire you to live up to your full potential, and give you the courage to face setbacks and failure.[Following is the official OnlineBookClub.org review of "NOW" by Sultan Ahmed, awarding it FOUR OUT OF FOUR stars.]"All humans have dreams of what they want to achieve in life, but many do not end up achieving these dreams because they never try, or they let it fall to the side as real life takes over. The subject of this book is about the steps one needs to take in order to take control of their life and guide themselves to success and the accomplishment of their dreams. NOW is a non-fiction book written by Sultan Ahmed that aims to guide the reader through the steps to success in whatever sphere they are most passionate. In this book, the author elaborates on his three step formula towards success. The author begins by explaining what exactly confidence is and how it can be confused with other not so appealing traits, such as arrogance . He then goes on to show how to acquire confidence in order to achieve your dreams. As an example of confidence he supplies a quote to explain what he ‘A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not in the branch, but in its own wings’. He then goes on to explain what is NOW and how to live in the NOW, and how that has an effect on you achieving success.Lastly, the author explains how failure is just as important an aspect as the other two steps . He explains why failure is needed and how one should deal with it.This was a well written, easy to read and relatively short book. The author writes in a style, as if he is talking to the reader directly. He disperses quotes throughout the book that are relevant for the topic that is being discussed. He also tends to use several examples of successful people and explains the steps that they took in order to acquire their success. This book was without doubt inspirational and instructive. I learnt quite a lot from this that I can implement into my life. I fully agree with all the steps that the author has described. What I liked about the book was that it was simple and easy implement, and was well explained in detail. It doesn’t confuse or put off the reader with fancy terms. One thing I must mention, is that although I cannot say that that there was anything specifically negative about this book, I wondered whether it was truly unique. There are many self-help books in the market, each claiming to show the reader the best way to success. Is another book really needed? However I can say that once a person has read this book they will certainly want to make changes in their life, and start on their road to success. It gives you determination and hope to take the first steps. I was thinking about giving the book a three stars, simply because there are so many self-help books out there, but then I realized that this book needs to be judged according to its own merit and not according to the fact that there are many of the same books on the market. Thus I decided that it deserved a four out of four stars, since it would definitely give the reader the urge and encouragement to implement changes in their life, NOW."

I received a copy of this eBook for an honest review.

Usually, when people put that in a review, they put it at the end as an "Oh, by the way" kind of thing. I'm putting it first because how I came across this book is important in my review.

A lot of times, when people give you books for free in exchange for a review, the books aren't very good, but people feel obligated to be nice and give an inflated review.

This book, however, overcame all my pre-existing expectations and ended up being a good read.

The information presented in this book isn't new. It's all about self-confidence and attitude and how your outlook has an affect on the people around you. It's basically a shorter, less annoying "The Secret" without all the woo. It's common sense, but it's presented in an uplifting, casual, conversational style and isn't condescending.

There are a lot of encouraging quotes sprinkled throughout the book. Do they border on cheesy? Maybe a little. But a lot of them, if you look under the words themselves, say some important stuff. My favorite was “You become who you surround yourself with. Your friends are like elevators. They either take you up or pull you down.”

I also liked the list-making suggestions and exercises provided that help people with things that, at first glance, seem like they should be common sense, but that are, in all actuality, really hard for some people to grasp and implement.

I would recommend this to people working through confidence issues, and anyone who needs a pick me up to realize everything's going to be okay.

(Actually, I would probably give the book 3.5 stars if I could give half-stars. The deduction has nothing to do with the content, but rather that it doesn't appear the book was edited very well. There are many grammar/syntax/punctuation/spelling mistakes that could have been fixed by a good editor quickly. As a professional editor, these things stick out to me like sore thumbs.)

I was shocked about the inspiration and power to be found in this brief yet well-written title! This book follows a linear structure, with the author beginning with his personal definition of confidence, followed by how to obtain it, his personal philosophy regarding Living in the NOW, and Acting in the NOW, the benefits of failure, and using all of these things combined to begin your journey on the road to success. When I saw the chapters regarding Living and Acting in the NOW, I was skeptical – after all, I was always taught by my elders to plan for the future and learn from the past. Reading those chapters changed my belief system, and are my favorite chapters of NOW. Without giving too much away, these chapters describe ways to change yourself for the better in order to achieve your goals, such as challenging your current, daily routine and learning how to redirect your focus to more important tasks and goals. The final words in the end were also a great way to close. In short – buy this book! It changed my life, and it should change yours, too.
