Great Series!

Much enjoyed this series of stories. Great characters and a great storyline combined to create an interesting plot with plenty of action and emotion that maintained my interest throughout the series. Very much enjoyed, and will read more of Cheese Alsop in the future.

An exciting end to a tense, action-filled space adventure. What an ending. It was exciting to read the author's closing of each chapter in Liora's coming into her own. There's not much I can write without spoiling the read for someone else. So, read the 5-book series. The writing is precise in it's description of locales and the emotions of loss were well written. Well done.

In the final book of this series, we rejoin Liora on Cree as she tries to recover from her physical injuries, whilst still in mourning. Her friendship with Dev is in question too, but she can't cope with that at the moment. She has an adventure on Cree before returning to her father's side on Corian at his request. She learns more about her mother, and of herself, before knowing what she needs to do. Whilst she goes off on yet another adventure, she is reunited with the crew of the S.S. Kratos, and her friendship with Dev slowly mends and becomes deeper.

This book is once again packed with action and emotion. Liora Day is such a strong, magnificent character that you can't help but admire her. She has been through so much, and yet never hesitates when danger calls her name, even when everything she thought she knew about herself is called into question. Dev provides unconditional support and I loved this. I could waffle on for hours about the personal relationships in this series, but I won't as I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else.

This series is simply amazing and has blown me away. I really can't say how much I became invested with these characters and the situation they were in. It wasn't simply a case of I wanted to continue with the story, I needed to!

Absolutely spectacular! I have read Silver by this author so I already knew that she could write Paranormal, but with this series, you can most definitely add Sci-Fi to her list of achievements too.

I was a bit skeptical about this series. I am not a fan of books about space, however Cheree Alsop is one of my favorite authors. I was not sure what to think about this series at first because I am so used to her writing about werewolves, however this was a great read. You cannot help but fall for the characters in this series. Liora Day is a fearless character who is strong willed, kick butt and herione in her own right. The adventures that you read about are action packed, edge of your seat suspense thriller, need to know what happens and don't see things coming. You will love the characters and will cry when her story ends. Be prepared and forewarned. You will cry!!!

Park yourself here.

Fact finding. Kinda difficult to research anything if one is aware of only 1 facet of whom one is. Being brought up as a Damaclan isn't a piece of cake. Especially when the traing is racheted up to ensure you fail by a hateful father. What if he wasn't the real father & momma either. Waddya do?

What a great finish. And to find out what Liora truly is. So much more. I love most happy endings. What to say that won't give the book away? Well, it ties EVERYTHING together! And Devren does finally get his chance, but they have a rocky road, to say the least. We all know just how stubborn Liora really is. Although I wouldn't mind an epilogue to see how everyone's doing...

Fantastic Series

Apologies to the author for not reviewing each book separately. I was too engrossed in what was happening in the stories to stop. I went from 1-4 in a few days. Wonderful worlds, characters popped off the pages and adventure galore. If you love sci-fi or just well written stories than these are must reads!

If you like space opera, give this series a try!

The Macrocosm has a dirty and lived in feel to it with believable, interesting characters, fighting for their lives in fast moving cinematic combat. This was fun to read. If you like space opera give this series a try!

I don't usually do reviews

This book series was amazing. AMAZING. It's rare a book makes you yell and jump and cry like a baby, but this series sure did. Hands down one of best written books I've read. Don't read the spoilers, just read the books. Worth it.

Wonderful series

I hated to see it end! But this was one of the best series I've read in a long time! While I hate the endings that really don't end on the middle books, put together they make one great story! Loved it! Great read!!!

Fun series

Fun to read. Great female lead. Lots of cool characters but not so many to be hard to follow. Not all about ‘Earth’

Great story.

A tad predictable towards the end but a good read overall. A very fitting ending to the story considering how it began. I recommend it highly.

Pinnacle of the series with lots of bang! (Lots and lots of bangs.)

This big reveal at the beginning of the book was a whopper, given the "truths" Liora had taken for granted and thus the narrator's-eye-view opinion of fact. Well, there went the tower of blocks within the first pages. Even if we might not trust the situation she first gets dribs and drabs of information from, there's really no choice once she sits down with her dad to have it all out. So now there's a lot more on the line than even Liora and her friends had believed, and it's all going to hinge on and matter to her, personally. Not that the big battles she's won along the way are in any way lessened, but she gets to go face the driving force behind most if not all of her recent hardships. Big showdown does not disappoint! I really enjoyed seeing how many things fit together smoothly after the reveals in this book, and I am definitely rocking the happily ever afters for multiple couples among the good guys.

Like the earlier books, this is definitely a series, and there's little to no introduction to the characters that we met earlier. The setting has pretty much been established at this point, so there isn't a lot of development there, or even elaboration on descriptions, which might help readers who don't read the series straight through as I did. We dive straight into the action, which didn't bother me any since I started this book within half an hour of finishing the previous, but I think there could've been a little more done to ensure we remember the major plot points that have led up to the big wow finish.

I received a free beta reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Girl from the Stars Series

There are 5 books to this series which require a lot of time from a reader. If you are squeamish, this is not for you as there are quite a few violent interactions. I personally found this series well worth my time; however, the editing issues tended to derail one's flow at times. I found it very annoying. One could also say that the main character was unbelievable at times ... I say, she was totally awesome and thank the author for bringing her to life.

I never know what to do with these.

I liked most everything in this series. All of the characters are so different from some of the other books/series I have read before. There is pretty much non stop action throughout. There is romance as well as 3 weddings at the end. I think that some of the vows could show up in real weddings as they are excellent/wonderful.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audio book of this title from within the series set box. (Audible Membership)

Facing trial for using a planet's resources for personal use, It does seem ludicrous and therefore shows those in power are idiots.
Then, there's always the next problem to face and the next wrong to right.

Ended all too soon!

This book went so much faster than the other four in this series. While stories always have to end, getting to the end is fun. Good endings, through shadowed with sadness, mirror real life. Loved the ending. I wish many blessings upon Cheree Alsop.

Here ends the space opera.

This the 5th book in the series brings the story to a close. These 5 books make a complete story arc that gives you a very well done space opera complete with action, suspense, love, and loss.

Day's Hunt, the fifth book of the Girl from the Stars series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). While I'm disappointed in the direction the writer took with the relationship between Liora and Dev, I enjoyed the rest of the story and the way the plot concluded. A wild ride.
