I get bored easily with counting books. They are available in abundance and really, how much creativity does it take to count from 1 to 10 and vice versa. I do recognize the educational value of counting books, so I suffer through them. Well, suffer no longer with this one.

A counting book that is clever and creative. It counts from 1 to 10 and even has a cute plot. I'm a big fan of the illustrations and love that there is a little sheep hiding on each page.

On a whim I got this at our local library. I chose this book because of the three little kittens on the front. My kids love this book.
The kittens are unable to go to sleep. Their mom told them to go count sheep. Each page has a hidden sheep on it and my son loved to find it. Each page has an animal that the kitten found with sound effects. Like bunnies bouncing. Boing Boing. My kids liked the sound effects on each page.

This is a good book for children 1-5.
