As some of you know, I am quite the fan of paranormal romance. I jumped at the chance to read this vampire romance boxed set. I've read some of each author's work, enjoyed it, and this set did not disappoint.

Each story is unique, from dark and foreboding to sensual and romantic. The stories are short, but the characters and plots are well-developed - just enough to whet my appetite for more! I've read some of Muffy Wilson's erotic romance stories and flashes, so it was extra nice to see her step into the vamp sub-genre with such grace. Her flowing prose is unmistakable. Also, it goes without saying that Angelica Dawson is a queen of dark, erotic paranormals.

I avoid spoilers at all costs, so I'll just say...If you enjoy your heroes mysterious, somewhat dangerous, and sexy as hell, you will love this set. A highly recommended read. An easy 5 stars!

I was pleasantly surprised to see Muffy Wilson’s name amongst the group of notable authors not because she isn’t a notable bestselling international author, but because she isn’t known for work in the vampire/shifter/werewolf genre. So, far be it from me to deny her a sojourn into the arms of the Prince of Darkness, I joined her there!
This story is more love story than paranormal blood lusting, but there is lusting. There is also mystery, intrigue…even murder. There are so many interlocking levels to this fascinating story that to even discuss one would unravel another for the reader. If you love Muffy Wilson’s love stories rooted in deeply loving commitments, interesting character development and unexpected surprise elements, you will love her Immortal Hearts.
She’s American. He’s, well, he’s European. They meet in Paris, marry and settle in the states to start a flourishing artificial intelligence software business. They are wealthy, beautiful people who travel in elite circles. Will their future be filled with death and separation on the run? Or will death be the foundation of a new life? You will have to read it to find out how this fast paced story twists at the end. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…Well done, Miss Muffy!
Overall, wonderful paranormal romance boxset - with a little something for everyone. If you like your books fangtastic and spooktacular - you've come to the right place ;)

9 Novellas, 99c, and 5 Stars for All!

I bought this book on pre-order because of the authors. I go to my favorite restaurant time after time because they deliver my steak exactly how I like it e*v*e*r*y time, these authors do the same thing and did not disappoint! Bravo!
I am a great fan of Muffy Wilson. I love her style: the romance is over the top romantic, the story always has depth, characters are believable and really well developed…..and the sex! Who wouldn’t want searing-scorching sex like that with, in this case, a vampire!! I immerse myself in her stories. In Immortal Hearts, she wrote a touching, emotionally charged love story! *Swoon* What a fabulous treat and only 99 cents for 9 wonderful stories by 9 fabulous authors! Go buy a copy now! I am going to read mine again and again and again! Here is the line up with mini-blurbs from each 5* story:

Vampire Bites is a fresh look into the paranormal genre of fiction I gave this anthology a deserving 5 Stars. Most deserving of this rating is Muffy Wilson’s ingenious creation, Immortal Hearts. I adored this story. Muffy Wilson has created out of this world magic with her prose. This immortal romance blazes with intense passion for the best of heated page burners, from almost any book I have previously read, from beginning to end. She continues to illustrate her bountiful talents where she left off in Consenting Hearts. I was consumed with interest in this modern paranormal romance. The author writes a contemporary, paranormal love story between Damien and Lisbet so naturally and convincingly; you would not realize you are reading a “vampire” story. The couple’s passion sucked me, blindly into accepting the world of the undead, as a life I would like to live with my loving partner. Once Damien appeared to have returned to Lisbet, I was dazzled by the mystery and suspense, intertwined with the heated, romantic love existing with this couple. Muffy’s imagery is superb, once again. As I said before, there is a diverse selection of vampire stories, all with different moods from romance to heroism. Quite the opposite of Muffy Wilson’s Immortal Hearts, Angelica Dawson’s Blue Moon House suspends the reader in the main character’s troubled search for happiness, Harrold’s quest for ultimate pleasure derived from pain. If you are turned onto a sexual high brought through tortures of pain, you may never have imagined, you will love this story. Angelica’s well thought craft of storytelling, descriptions, and characterizations are blended into a psychological saga you won’t stop reading. You will enjoy the benevolence of well-meaning vampires helping Harrold discover himself and love. If you are not put off with the BDSM practices in the sex scenes, you will be enthralled with Blue Moon House. In keeping with my overall rating of 5 Stars for Vampire Bites, Blue Moon House contributes to that score for the excellent selection of stories in this anthology

Vampire Bites is a cool collection of short stories featuring (duh…) vampires. I liked each author’s perspective on vampires and the other paranormal elements woven into each story’s world (werewolves, fae, witches, gods, etc.). Their stories vary in their degree of steaminess (one was very erotic/explicit), but each very good. To remind people, these are short stories, so you may not get enough background/detail as a full novel. Also, a lot of the stories basically leave off with cliffhangers, so be warned. I like collections like these because it gives readers the chance to try a new genre or check out an author they might not usually read. I’m not a big reader of vampire themed books, but I enjoyed this set very much.

Exceptional! I am so proud to be not only associated with this group of talented and highly skilled wordsmiths but call them all friends as well. From the gorgeous, eye-catching cover (thank you, Danielle Gavan!) to the tempting, teasing, magical, mystical yarn spinning within, every word is a morsel to delight.
You will love the fang-dabblary, the clever were-withall, the twisted shape-shifters and a parade of other masterful creatures that go bump and eeeeek! in the night...and the sexy interludes, too!
This is a masterpiece and at 99c it is a steal! You should be arrested!
Oooh, we could write a story about that!

He was a vampire. They were all vampires. 10 GOLD VAMPIRES

No touchy the fangs! Make me like you. I want to be like you. What are you doing? Following my heart. I'd love to drink you forever. WOW! I LOVE THIS VAMPTACULAR COLLECTION!! Lots of unique FANGS, I mean things, to make each story stand out from the others. Even right now I am thinking of each story, WHY I can call up every story I my mind's eye and just how much I was Vampire Thralled by each every single story! I was super excited to get my fangs in this collection!! Not only because it is Vampires, although, really, what more do you need? But to also get the chance to read a multistory collection that is dedicated to Vampires, Vampires & even more Vampires!!! While I might recognize the author names, I am not necessarily familiar with their stories or writings, so this is a FANGTASTIC way to discover new authors with no risk, but lots & lots of reward! I LOVE how each story captured my attention from the very start, and even though they are mostly short/shortish stories, I was entranced all the way through to the end. I was going to point out the ones I love, but THEY ARE VAMPIRES!!! For that reason alone I LOVE THEM ALL!! I am very impressed with all of these stories & authors, but ABSO- BLOODY-LUTELY blown away with the originality of EVERY SINGLE VAMPIRE, STORY & AUTHOR!! To have 9 vampire stories by 9 different authors and have each and every one of them be fresh, exciting, mesmerizing, holding my attention from start to finish and not once was I eager for any story to end!! In fact I was CURSING every time I came my two most hated words – The End!! I actually started reading this with the hope of reading all of it within a few days. HA! Within about 30 HOURS I had not only read each story, but made notes for a review for each one, brief bites (pun fully intended) on each story for this review AND wrote this overall review!!

I do have one helluva complaint that I can’t keep from grumbling about. These stories and authors are ALL so VAMPELICIOUS how the bleep am I supposed to decide which VAMPTASTIC author to binge on first?!?! I mean, I can go forth and STALK up on each authors books without playing favorites. I can stalk them all with no problem. But how do I choose who should be my first feeding? Or the second? And so on… *dreamy sigh* Decisions, IMMORTALICIOUS decisions. (I sincerely hope that this FANGTABULOUS book comes out in print edition because I LOVE that cover! Wouldn’t it be BLOODY AWESOME to then find a way to get a signed copy! *shiver* OOOOO I have chills just thinking that! wink)

Now on to my brief bites for each of these FANGTASTIC stories in Vampire Bites: Vampire Paranormal Romance Anthology:

The Vampire's Witch by Kiki Howell – I LOVE the 3 different paranormal clans/covens that live in same areas, but yet they do not get along. I love how unique not only each species is, but each person is as well. Meaning that not all vampires have the same powers or abilities. This is one WILLOWTASTIC world that Kiki has created and I cannot wait to stay and hang out some more!

Blue Moon House: Kitten by Angelica Dawson – FANGTASTICALLY erotic! I love the uniqueness of it all! I have read the first book in this series, but I was STILL blown away by the beautiful, powerful & majestic Blue Moon House and its residents & visitors! The message behind every act they do, every word they say, the rules, just ALL OF IT! It all has me eager & lusting for more! LIKE NOW! Hmmmm, wonder if I could find my way to Blue Moon House too...

The Return of Their Master by Phoenix Johnson - This is a VAMPY good story! I love the way you become a vampire! Very intriguing and creative! I just wish it was longer because I was not ready to leave it so soon!! I sincerely hope that Phoenix has more in this vein so that I can explore her FANGTASTIC vampires & their world more!! Just LOVE IT!!!

Sanguine Shadows: A Curse Workers Novella by Erzabet Bishop - WOW!! I love, Love, LOVE this one! Again, this is an exceptionally original take on the paranormal community, mixed with a wicked sense of humor, lust and that always nasty "right vs. wrong" chivalry that thankfully can be snuffed out given the chance! wink I am very much wanting to live in this world that Erzabet has created, so I hope that she has lots more for me to devour!

Fallen by Danielle Gavan - WOW! ABSO-FANG-LUTELY WOW! This is one VAMPTACULAR story that had me laughing, gasping, crying, but then when I reached The End I was cursing just as much as Fallen did! Definitely going to be staking, I mean stalking Danielle now!! I have NEVER read a Vampire story, hell, ANY story even remotely like this one! I am so intrigued & VAMPIRE THRALLED with well… EVERY SINGLE PART of this story!!!

Evelina: From Blood to Dust by Xandra James - I LOVE THIS ONE!! It is so different, yet so familiar at the same time! This is a VAMPTASTIC & original story that had my attention from the start! It had me eagerly & intensely addicted! As addicted as if I had been kissed by a Vampire.. and I LOVED IT!!

The Truce by Bethany Shaw - WOW! Bethany sure knows how to grab my attention and keep it! A truly FANGTASTIC story that is beautiful & romantic, well, as long as you ignore the dark, smelly evil parts, of course! However the twist that I DID NOT see coming sure added that extra something-something that had me captivated and panting for more!

Immortal Hearts by Muffy Wilson - This is my first taste of Muffy's paranormals, and while it starts off very flowery & poetic (in all the best ways possible!), it quickly transforms into this narrative that had me believing that I was directly having this conversation, this experience personally! I was drawn in so fast and so deep, I couldn't have pulled away if I wanted to!

Maybe Another Time: A Standalone On The Edge Novella by Kallysten - WOW!! Just... WOW! This is a terrific story! I LOVE Kallysten's vampires! This story is so cool & realistic that I want to head on out & find me my own blood bar, or even better - On The Edge!! Maybe THAT is where my vampire mate has been all this time, waiting for ME to find HIM! Of course, if he is anything like Lucien, he will be more than worth the wait! So LOVE this story and cannot wait to read ALL of Kallysten's books!!

This was a great group of stories. I will be honest that there were some stories I like better than others. This did give me a great chance to read from authors I had not heard of. I love vampires so that's always a good place to start.
1. The first story is about a vampire that comes home when his sire is killed in a altercation between vampires, witches and werewolves. The don't get along the best so this made things worse. When he kidnaps a witch to see what they are planning to do he finds out he knew her when he was human and finds out that he likes her much more than he should. They have to figure out how to help their kinds and be together.
2. This is set in an earlier time and is centered around a woman who has a relationship with her roommate and her fiancé. She goes to find out about a club that she has heard of and would like to find out more about. This is a special kind of sex club that is run by a group of vampires who give her all kinds of experiences.
3. This one is about a girl who has a store with her sisters of blood. It starts out when she is in an accident with the guy that she has been seeing and he is injured gravely and she has to save him, by turning him. When she is explaining to him what has happened she finds out that her sire, who has a blood disease, is doing for them. The sisters have to fight off the sire so he doesn't kill them all.
4. Once upon a tie there is a witch who is headed home when she attacked by a group of werewolves that have gone rogue. They are stopped by a local vampire and a fae enforcer who then have to save the witch. The vampire changes her to save her and she stays with him, but is always very tracked to the fae that was there. One night she decides to go for a walk and runs into the fae and shows him what he has been missing.
5. There is a group of protectors that have made deals with the gods. They are cursed to forever live out their lives with this deal hanging over them. They are making their round when the object of one of their curses is attacked and their seems tone a problem, the gods are missing. If they are missing what would happen if they were able to break the curse? Going to have to read and find out.
6. She had been alive a long time next had a job to do. She was an assassin and carried out the jobs as she was told. She had a brief stint where she had fallen for a doctor and realized she couldn't put him at risk and left. She carries out a job to find that they are now trying to get other through him. That is not going to work for her. Now they will see what she is made of.
7. He was a vampire enforcer, sent by his kind to take care of some rogues that were killing and bringing to much attention to them. He was in territory that was very close to his ex and he was hoping to avoid that. Then he is attacked and wakes up in a cell with someone he had hoped he wouldn't see. She is a werewolf enforcer and hunting the same rogues. Now they are going to have to work together to get out of this alive.
8. This story's lots of twists and turns about a woman who is in mourning for her husband that she believes is dead. She takes a very convoluted course through her mind. All of a sudden he is back and explains to her that heirs a vampire and that he was trying to protect her from the hunter that was after him. Then the hunter shows up and they have to decide what to do.
9. When he had been made a vampire it was not by choice and he had the scars to prove it. They set him apart and most people tried to stay away from him. Then one night by chance he encounters a woman who is terrified of vampires as she has always been told the bad things by her dad and brother that are hunters. Then she learns some new things and decides to find out more about this vampire and see how things go from there.
Great group of stories.

This is a really great set of stories for those who like a little darkness in their vampire romances. They are quite intense in some cases. They are well-written and are not just intros to series but complete stories.

The Vampire's Witch by Kiki Howell is an interesting story of a community where the supernaturals are at war. The witches, shifters and vampires kept to themselves for the most part until a vampire and a shifter fell in love. In this story. Issac, a vampire, comes back to help and falls for a witch named Winter. These two have lived as outcasts and make a great couple.

Blue Moon House-Kitten by Angelica Dawson is about a woman who searches for new ways to explore her sexuality. She is directed to a house that offers more than she could ever expect. It is an intense read and definitely deals with the darker side as well.

The Return of their Master by Phoenix Johnson is about a group of vampires that have been trying to keep away from their master since he became ill. He is not taking no for an answer.

Sanguine Shadows: A Curse Workers Novella by Erzabet Bishop is about a woman saved by turning her into a vamp and the fae she loves from afar.

Fallen:A Northern Bites Novella by Danielle Gavan is about a group of Protectors that are serving curses by the Gods until they disappear and they get another chance.

Evelina: From Blood to Dust by Xandra James is a great story about a vampire assassin and the human doctor she has fallen in love with and is desperate to protect.

The Truce by Bethany Shaw gives a couple a second chance at love when they are forced to work together to save themselves.

I definitely recommend you check out this set. Some of my favorite authors are included and there are some new ones to me that I will be checking out further,

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

Vampire Bites is an amazing set of stories. I recommend picking up a copy today if you like paranormal romance stories.

The Vampires Witch - I loved seeing Issac and Winter come together. She loved him from afar when he was still mortal but now that he is a vamp and there is a war starting their love is even more forbidden.

Blue Moon Hourse - Jocelyn was attacked many years ago by someone she trusted. She has been trying to take back control in her life ever since. Little does she know the Blue Mooon house is exactly what she was looking for and it takes giving up a little control in order to finally have it back.

Return of their master - Angie and her sisters have been free for 100 years from their maker. This story is action packed. Angie has fallen in love with Jake who was human. Has their master finally found them? What will happen to Angie and Jake? It is a must read.

Sanguine Shadows - An Amazing story. Mari is attacked an left for dead. However, she has made a choice that will forever change her life.

Fallen - Fallen has protected the Gods for years. Alexander Leka's life and eternity are in their service until they suddenly disappear.

Evelina - Was an action packed story. Evelina is a vampire assassin. She knows she shouldn't fall in loved and walked away until her love was threatened by those she trusted.

The Truce - Shep walked away from Abby years ago due to the taboo of their relationships. She is a werewolf and he is a vampire. He is sent to take down a rouge vampire preying on humans on Abby's packs lands. When he wakes up in a cage and sees his companion is his Abby they have to work together to survive.

I got this anthology in exchange for an honest review and of all the reviews I’ve done, I don’t think that it gets more honest than this particular one. The stories were varied and I like some more than others but for the first time, I actually encountered a situation within the story that I really could relate to--Blue Moon House: Kitten. This story stood out to me from the stories within this set because as a survivor of incest, sexual assault, and rape, it is possible for some to get past the helplessness and disgust those situations can make you feel. Despite the more fantastical elements of this story, I liked it because it showed Jocelyn that despite what was done to her, she could reclaim her power. I know that it is not like that for all victims of incest or rape, I could sympathize greatly with what she went through to stop reliving her nightmare any time she had sex with a man. This story may not be for everyone because there are some rather demeaning scenes at various points, but I really do think that this anthology is well worth reading in part to this story. Most of the authors in this set were new to me and I think that I will have to read a second story to get more into some of them, but overall, like the other anthologies from this publisher that I’ve read, a taste is all you get.

I really enjoyed this boxed set. Great stories by some authors I am familiar with and some who I had not previously known but plan to know better in the future. Well rounded compilation of books including vampires, shifters and more. I fell in love with some of the characters and laughed, cried and ranted at them throughout the book. 10 complete stories at a great price. Can't go wrong with it. A great addition to any library.

The anthology had really good, well written and satisfactory stories for all tastes. There are vampires, witches, werewolves and lot of action, lust, romance, love, steamy sex, intrigue and suspense. Everything I like! Found some of my favorite authors and others that I had not read books by them before and of course, for me that is the cherry of the ice cream because I had more to add to my favorites list. Always find surprises in the box sets and this one didn’t let me down.

A good collection of paranormal short stories!

There is a short blurb at the beginning of each story, loved that. It gets you excited to read the upcoming story. At the end of each story you have the option to go back to the beginning of the book. This collection is a a great way to read an author you might not have read before! The stories are short, but they are not lacking, the authors do a really good job of drawing you the complete picture!

It's been awhile since I read vampire stories, but his boxset was a great way to reintroduce myself back into them. What I love about (quality) box sets is that if one story isn’t for you, you can move on to one that is. I have read some pretty garbage boxsets, but in this one, even if I don’t like the story, I cannot find fault in the writing. These authors are talented and know how to write.

Kallysten's story gets 5 stars, the rest get from 1 to 3 stars. Kallysten's story was wonderfully written! I loved Lucien, he was a great male lead. The patience he had, his honesty, it was refreshing. The female lead went through a lot of emotional growth.

The Vampire's Witch - Book 1 At War in the Willows by Kiki Howell
3 stars. While I didn't dislike this book, it also fell a little short of getting 4 stars from me. The book features Isaac (a vampire) and Winter (a witch). While it seemed like they took some major steps forward in their relationship near the end and they have a few good moments, Isaac spends the rest of the book flip flopping between hot and cold. That in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing (I've seen plenty of characters that have had trouble facing and/or accepting their feelings for someone), it ended up feeling a little choppy in this book. Howell's writing in this book in so so to me. As for the ending, it kind of feels like a cliffhanger, but I'm not entirely sure if it's actually a cliffhanger or if the story just cuts off abruptly and way too soon (I certainly hope it's the former). In the same vein, the ending is somewhere in the HFN/HEA continuum. While he admits he doesn't want to ever let her go, he still implies that he will have to at some point. So I suppose we will see what happens in future books, which I would like to read. Overall, it was a cute, good, enjoyable story.

Blue Moon House: Kitten by Angelica Dawson
3 stars. I found this book interesting. It had absolutely nothing to do with romance or romantic relationships and everything to do with sex, sex, and more sex. And it is definitely explicit sex. Throughout the course of the book we get at least a taste of a lot of different sexual situations: D/s relationships, anal, oral, multiple partners (anywhere from two to six), spanking, hair pulling, name calling, and yes, of course, vampire bites. As a whole, this wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but there were definitely parts that I liked more than others. The central character in this book is Jocelyn. We also see a lot of Daisy (her roommate) and Bernard (Daisy's fiancé). Within Blue Moon House itself, six vampires rule the roost (Sophia, Lynn, Nicholas, Willy, Harry, and Terrance). Jocelyn performs at least one sexual act with every one of these other characters (and more) at some point or another. Something I really appreciated in this book was in respect to things related to her rape. It is very clear that she has not fully recovered. It is also very clear that none of the vampires within Blue Moon House wish to harm her or push her too far, but that they do want to help her overcome some of the sexual fears the rape left her with. I also appreciate the way Jocelyn's submission was addressed. There is one quote that stood out to me where Sophia tells Jocelyn that submitting sexually is not an act of weakness in the least, that submission is a choice she makes and that she ultimately holds all the power; that Jocelyn is a strong, proud woman and submitting does not alter that or make her less of a person or woman. While I'm not sure I personally want to read more of this book, the writing was fine. There was no cliffhanger.

The Return of Their Master by Phoenix Johnson
4 stars. Angie, along with her sisters Sarah, Mary, and Alice, have made a life for themselves after escaping their creator, Vitalis. While Vitals was once a wonderful father to them all, he contracted a blood illness that changed his demeanor entirely, giving the girls no other choice than to remove themselves from his abuse. Jake is the man Angie has been seeing, loves, and who wants to marry her and spend the rest of his life (or eternity, if that's what it takes) with her. I really enjoyed this book. The love between Jake and Angie, especially as the story progresses, is palpable. While there are two sex scenes in this book, neither are particularly explicit or lengthy. The book does have a HEA ending for not only Jake and Angie, but all of the sisters, with no cliffhanger.

Sanguine Shadows (Curse Workers) by Erzabet Bishop
4 stars. This book was very short and I was sad for it. According to her sire, Mari Di Bartolo needs to marry another vampire from a royal lineage. The candidate he has lined up for this particular evening, Jared, is repulsive. Unfortunately for her sire, Mari doesn't desire another vampire, but Fenris (who is Fae). The story contains one steamy sex scene (in which they have sex twice and both acquire grass stains). The book ends with a cliffhanger and HFN. I am definitely interested in reading more!

Fallen (Northern Bites) by Danielle Gavan
3.5 stars. Alex and Zoe's story was cute and interesting enough. There isn't a ton of romance in this book, but there is some later on. Things were HFN until the last several paragraphs, in which the couple received potentially catastrophic new (a little hard for things to be fully happy after that). The book then promptly ends in a cliffhanger. While it wasn't extraordinary, I still enjoyed it and was left very curious as to what happens next, making me want to continue reading, if only to find out.

Evelina: From Blood to Dust by Xandra James
3.5 stars. It took a little bit for me to understand exactly what was going on, but it was cute when I got into it. Well, that is, as cute as a book can be when riddled with violence. There are a couple of sex scenes between Evalina and Ben, but they are mild and quick in nature. The book has no cliffhanger with a HEA ending for Evalina and Ben (though I definitely cannot say the same for all of the individuals they killed over the course of the book). Overall, I enjoyed reading this book.

The Truce by Bethany Shaw
4 stars. This book also contained some violence - of the rather explicit variety. Abby (a werewolf) and Shep (a vampire) have both been working on bringing down what was assumed to be one rogue vampire. When they end up in a cell together, shackled to the floor and dependent on each other for survival, they find they will have to work together to get out of the mess (quite literally and disgustingly) and take down what turns out not to be one, but an unknown number of vicious vampires. There is one sex scene, which is pretty hot without being too explicit. This book was short and sweet, ending in HEA and no cliffhanger.

Immortal Hearts by Muffy Wilson
2 stars. This was my least favorite book in the anthology. While Lisbet and Damien's story itself was pretty good, the author's writing wasn't the best and I wasn't entirely a fan of her writing style (though some may enjoy it). The sentences got exceedingly repetitive when so many of them started with "You". It felt much more like Lisbet was telling the story to Damien himself than to an audience (as if it were after the fact and Damien had somehow lost all memory of it - which is not the case). Overall, the writing felt rather awkward to me, which could largely have to do from the POV. To it's credit however, the book does have a HEA ending with no cliffhanger, which I definitely appreciated.

Maybe Another Time (On the Edge) by Kallysten
5 stars. This was my favorite book in the anthology. It was a great story that, while being sweet, wasn't overly so. Lucien and Zoe's romance was interesting and very enjoyable, with the book ending with a steamy sex scene. It felt as though the book had several good messages within it about appearance and self-confidence, which I really liked. It's hard to say whether or not there is a cliffhanger. While I think their story is over, I definitely was not ready for the book to end. There is so much more that could've been explored and I'm sad it wasn't. Regardless, the book did feature a HEA ending. I definitely want to read more of Kallysten's On the Edge series!

The stories in this anthology were just perfect in length, and they were interesting enough to keep me wanting more. I love vampires and anything to do with the paranormal, so to have a compilation like this really was a treat to read. And, talk about imagination. The sex scenes were exquisite as were the characters. Hot!

*Immortal Hearts is the story about Lisbet Baylord and the loss of her husband—at least that is how the first chapter begins—a wonderful verse followed by the widow’s poignant and often agonizingly sorrowful thoughts in the wake of her loss. Anyone who has lost a loved one, especially his or her significant other can truly sympathize with Lisbet’s plight. Every word tugged at my heartstrings. She is confused, distraught, and searching for her own solace along with answers. As we all do when we’re faced with such a devastating and unexpected situation. But Lisbet is also a strong woman who can be very resourceful in the face of adversity as she stands up to a detective who refuses to believe her husband is dead. I’m sorry but I won’t add a synopsis because if I say too much I could spoil the story.
I’ve read a number of this author’s books and Immortal Hearts is by far her most exceptional piece to date. From the very first word to the last, I was totally enthralled with the recalcitrant Lisbet and Ms. Wilson’s beautifully executed prose. I was on the edge of my seat and eagerly tapped to the next page (eBook) in anxious apprehension, wondering what would happen next. In reality, such a turbulent plot could’ve gone anywhere. Was her husband still alive? Is the detective on the up and up? Who can she trust? But, thankfully, the ending is a happy one that holds a surprising twist.
If you love vampires like I do and can appreciate a well-crafted story with engaging characters that encompasses the perfect amount of romance, sex, suspense and a touch of mystery, you will thoroughly enjoy Immortal Hearts. Five stars!
