Blessed with Babies #1

Maud's Devotion

Rate this book
A CLEAN Western Mail Order Bride ROMANCE! Book 1 in the Blessed With Babies Mail-Order Brides Series
With a HAPPY ENDING - as always! (17,000+ words)

Nothing was going as planned.

Maud was graduating from Vassar with a degree in music, something she had devoted much of her life toward, but the person who mattered most to her was no longer on earth to see her graduate.

What’s worse - her mother had told her she needed to move out of the house, and soon. Maud had no job prospects, no money, and soon, no home.

With no way to provide for herself despite her degree, Maud is faced with an option she never thought she would consider, a mail-order bride opportunity in Wyoming to a wealthy rancher with newborn twins.

Maud had no experience with babies, but she had worked diligently to get her degree, so it couldn’t be that hard to take care of twins? Or could it?

Kate Cambridge is an indie author writing cozy mysteries, sweet historical romance, and contemporary romance—all with a thread of faith, hope, and suspense intertwined. Her debut series, The Choice Brides Suffragette Series, has been a bestseller with three books yet to be released, as well as her cozy mystery series, A Hannah and Callum Cozy Mystery. She has participated in several multi-author collaborations, including Sweet Americana, The Burnt River Western Romance Series, and the latest a multi-author western romance series, The Lawkeepers. She is also an author in the Kindle World, First Street Church.

She has been an avid writer since middle school and has always loved living adventures vicariously through books; as a result, she pursued a degree in Liberal Studies because, well, nothing else quite fit. Before writing full-time, she ran her own boutique marketing agency, and prior to that wore several hats in the corporate world including: negotiating six and seven figure real estate deals, writing training programs, and project management for a major supermarket company.

Writing is her passion, but she also loves animals and hopes to open a shelter for abused and homeless dogs some day. Her greatest joy and blessing is her faith, being married to her favorite person on the planet, and being a mom; she also enjoys sailing, photography, music, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family at their home on Sebago Lake.

Maids devotion

It was a fairly good book, but it could have been a little longer. There was not much to connect her two lives into one.

I loved this short story of Mail Order Bride and it's happy ending! I've gotten into reading a lot of the Mail Order Bride books available and found this one light and easy to read. I will continue to read the rest in this series.

James and Maud

This is a mail order bride love story with a slight wrist. This tale is written by Kate Cambridge and she has done an exceptional job with the plot and the characters too. Not too much excitement or adventurous action, but disappointment, sorry and the understanding and desire of things to come. You will enjoy discovering how James and Maud find their happily ever after.

Good read and well written. Would have liked better had the H's feelings been given more depth.

Different

Emotions play a very important part in this story. I like how these two learn a lot from each other and learn to accept their grief.

great story. quick and easy read. I recommend this book especially if you love Mail order brides. She had no knowledge of caring for babies except for her siblings. Now she has to care for twins and take care of a house before marrying the man of the house. Will she be able to handle everything he throws at her besides the babies?
