Hannah: Book two of the Coven’s Grove Chronicles

Hannah Ward had always been a driven woman. Having breezed through high school and college, she’d earned her PhD in Biology and Botany by the time she was twenty one, but her true calling had little to do with school. Her true calling was to be a witch.

Five years later, she had finally found a balance between her duty as an environmentalist, and her passion for wielding mystical power. She’d only left out her social life to do it.

Dominic Farserre changes that with a single touch. Within only a few days of meeting the handsome man with a checkered past, Hannah finds herself swept up in a whirlwind of corporate espionage and murder. Using magic is her only hope of surviving, but in doing so, she may lose the most important thing missing in her life—the man she loves.

Building friendships isn’t easy...building a coven is even harder. The Coven’s Grove Chronicles is a saga about the gathering of thirteen women who possess extraordinary powers. Witches all, they must come together in a sisterhood that will nurture and protect them. The secrets of the arcane will be unlocked for each, if they survive long enough to learn. Join them on their journeys of discovery and hardship, and of course, to meet the dashing men they find along the way.

WARNING: 18+ Steamy sex scenes and mild profanity. HFN

An intense page turning read! Book two continues the story of Coven's Grove through Hannah's story. Hannah who you could call a green witch meets her guardian who happens to be an eco-activist, or is he? The book feels like it has two parts the first being very much about the love story of Hannah and Dominic. The second part brings us back to the danger the coven faces that involves them all. They have to fight to protect what is theirs and the people they care about. It side steps a bit from the story arc that was started in book one but I didn't mind that at all. You can get bogged down to easily with main story arcs. There's a strong eco message with this book which works brilliantly with the character of Hannah and is not out of place. A well paced book with strong believable characters. Another great read from Virginia

This is a intriguing & fascinating book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is: witches, drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, secrets, corporate espionage, action, magic, violence, murder, magical abilities, lust, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a good book with a HEA.

Enjoyable second book of the Coven's Grove series. It was goid to learn more about the characters in the first book. Fast paced and easy to read although I wasn't a huge fan of the high death toll nor of the exaggerated sex scenes (although I suppose if you are a witch you can be as uninhibited as you like and have multiple orgasms - just doesn't fit with Hannah supposedly being shy and awkward).
Having said that however, it kept my interest and I kept turning the pages to see what would happen next.
If supernatural/romance is your genre, then you will enjoy this series..

Hannah has received her PhD in biology and botany but is also a witch. Hannah has crossed some oil companies that are involves corporate espionage and murder and by using her magic to remedy the situation it could also cost her her life. This is an amazing read full of action, espionage, murder and love. I would recommend this book.

the true meaning of a tree hugger

The terrific second book in the series. Can she meet her soul mate? What is going on on the land surrounding the estate? Wonderful series and flow really well. Cannot wait to read the next. I got this through a giveaway and am so glad I did as it has introduced me to a great author, similar to Anna Windsor and I loved her books. Highly recommended

Hannah is very interested in eco-friendly environmental education ... and a witch! Dominic, on the other hand, is involved in corporate espionage. It certainly makes for an exciting story!
If you can afford the rest of the books I would recommend continuing the series. My limited income doesn't, unfortunately. 😪

This second installment did not disappoint! An exciting storyline with some surprises along the way kept this an easy and fast read. Yes, it could be argued that it's a little predictable (in that it will have a HEA ending) but it's certainly not boring.

A great second book in the Coven's Grove Chronicles. Like the first book, magic and romance combine, this time chronicling the story of Hannah, a botanist and a witch meeting Dominic as her life in Coven Grove moves into danger.

Not quite as good as book 1, a plenty of action scenes but completely different situation from Alix. A few small sex scenes but not overpowering the story

This one was almost as enjoyable as the first book in the series, although the first one had more action than this one, it still delivered. There was one scene that I felt was disturbing between Dominic and Hannah, but I will definitely read the next one. There was a new character introduced that I hope we will see in a future book!

Pretty good book. A nice light-hearted read that desn't overly tax your brain. It's easy to follow, the characters are interesting enough. If you haven't read the first book in the series, it doesn't matter you can pick it up easily enough.

"Hannah" by Virginia Hunter is an exceptional book. I really enjoyed the story-line and especially the plot. Hannah had to take off for a week of lectures that she would be giving. On her last night there Hannah decided to have some fun. Dominic is in the Peace Corp and considered an Eco Extremist. Hannah had seen Dominic a few times over the years but had never met him. He didn't really ever attend too many of her lectures. By chance Dominic ran into Hannah and asked her to join Himself and some friends for a drink. The moment Dominic touch Hannah Skin to skin in a handshake they both received a tingling jolt. It really startled Dominic and he continued to be uneasy. Later Dominic came to Hannah's territory for a demonstration and things started to get out of hand. Actually they became violent. I love this book. Lots of twists and turns as more continues to be revealed.

I really liked how book 2 in this series was a lot different to the first, this is more is more of a slow burn at the beginning that really draws you in and gets to know the characters before everything goes crazy.
Hannah character is so lovely and well down to earth ;) which means Dominic who is so much more out there and in your face compliments her so well. Not only does Hannah find out that their home is in danger with Dominic's help, but also just how Alix and Troy felt when they bonded. Some really intense and nail biting times, along with a few giggles that keep you turning the page and looking forward to reading book 3!
