Suhas Shirvalkar (Devnagari: सुहास शिरवळकर ) (15 November 1948 – 11 July 2003) was a Marathi writer from Maharashtra, India. Shirvalkar wrote Social Novels, Detective Stories, Short Stories, One Act Play, Newspaper Columns, Poems etc.

He authored more than 300 books including his well-known book "Duniyadari". Known for his detective-thrillers, he had also authored "Roopmati", a novel with a historical background, besides short stories, one-act plays. "Devaki", a Marathi movie based on one of his short-stories, won a State award for best story.

Duniyadari, a novel tracing the world of college-goers, was regarded a milestone in his writings.

The creator of characters like "Barrister Amar Vishwas [बॅ. अमर विश्वास], Firoz Irani [फिरोज ईराणी], Mandar Patwardhan [मंदार पटवर्धन] and Dara Buland [दारा बुलंद]" in his popular detective thrillers, he also managed to handle topics like medicine and astrology in great detail in his writings. His newspaper columns including "Ityadi-Ityadi, Vartulatim Mansa and Phalashruti" were well received by readers.

सत्यशील हा आपल्या नावाप्रमाणेच स्वःताचं आचरण असणारा कॉलेजातला एक हुशार, धडाडी असतारा तरुण. त्याच्या आयुष्यात आपल्यावर असणारा दृढ विश्वास तुटू नये तसंच आपण ज्या मुलीवर नितांत प्रेम करतो तिच्यावर भविष्यात कुठल्याही प्रकारची चिखलफेक होऊ नये म्हणून अगदी मोहाच्या क्षणी तो स्वतःच्या मनावर ताबा मिळवत . जे प्रत्यक्ष विश्वकर्माला जमलं नाही ते करुन दाखवतो. वासनेच्या आहारी न जाता आपल्या भावनांवर विजय मिळवतो. परंतु नियतीच्या मनात काहीतरी वेगळंच असतं. त्याने न केलेल्या गुन्ह्याची शिक्षा त्याला त्याचं काहीही म्हणणं ऐकून न घेता त्याला सुनावली जाते. त्याला गुन्हेगाराच्या पिंजऱ्यात उभं केलं जात.

शीलं परम भूषणं या संस्कृत श्लोकाचा अर्थ असा की मनुष्याचं शील हा त्याचा दागिना आहे.
म्हणजेच चांगलं शील राखलं, त्यात सत्य मिळविलं तर तो सत्शील माणूस होतो.
याच कन्सेप्टवर आधारित शिरवळकरांचीं ही कांदबरी एकदा वाचावी अशी आहे..
