Grand Street 69: Berlin is devoted to the culture, history, and politics of the new German capital, marking the ten year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. This special issue features new fiction from leading contemporary Berlin writers including Ingo Schulze, Judith Hermann, and Albert Ostermaier; contributions by theater luminaries Peter Zadek and Heiner Muller, and color portfolios by Hannah Hoch, Ed and Nancy Reddin Kienholz, Hans Haacke, and the most exciting young artists and filmmakers working in Berlin today.
A quarterly journal on literature and art which was published between 1981 and 2004. It was founded by Ben Sonnenberg; in 1990 Jean Stein took over as publisher and editor.
