Simply outstanding!

Truly this book and the one prior to it are an all together accurate account. Of a very probable future scenario. All the more true if Clinton gains the White House. This should be a clarion wake up call. However ma y people will just look at it as a piece of Military Fiction. I can't deny that it is just that. However, my 20+ years in the Military tell me this is a highly likely scenario. One we are simply not prepared for. God save us all!

This second novel of a four-book series is just as compulsively readable as the first. The same problems exist, such as having no real characters in these pages. The story is more like news articles or pages from a history book, checkered with conversations amongst the various antagonists on war plans. This is another exciting novel, though not quite as thrilling as the first volume.

I came upon this author as he was mentioned in a Facebook group I belong to, the Military Thriller Book Group, and then fell down the rabbit hole reading other authors associated with Rosone.

I have had some interactions with Rosone (a member of his ARC team, provided some limited feedback on his Munroe Doctrine series, etc.).

That said, I came across one of his earlier book series (World War III) on Oceansof PDF and once you've started with just one, I always have a need to finish the series. As with all books, the reader should open with an empty mind and their opinion a blank slate. Sometimes a well-written story shoud be taken as just that - a well written story.

This second novel of a four-book series is just as compulsively readable as the first. I am incredibly interested in geo politics and global tensions and this really satisfies those interests.

This book describes the rise of the Islamic Republic, a conglomeration of all those nations of a Muslim faith (regardless of whether they follow a Shia or a Sunni denomination), as they slowly begin to expand their territorial acquisitions (with Islamic uprisings in the nations that have portions of that religious belief). They seem to be all driven by two goals - the elimination of Israel and the toppling of the United States as a superpower.

With the rise of the Islamic Republic, you are also exposed to some of the geo-political maneuvering as China and Russia decided to back them and explore their own goals of territorial expansion as they provide material support for the IR.

In the United States, you continue to see the rise of the Freedom Party (sort of a Tea Party -esque group) lead by Henry Stein - who some commenters liken to Trump (which seems to spin them off into a tizzy...lol) , who not only has to try to bring the United States out of a global depression with the formation of the America First Corporation.

I found this book to be an amazing quick read (the pages kept turning of their own accord as I found myself hooked on this story). I found that the main selling point for this book was the global scale battle lines and strategies played out in the lead-up and beginning of WWIII. I'd recommend this book to anyone with a strong knowledge of future military technology or any knowledge of the military or global tensions.

As far as a rating, I would give this book a solid four stars out of five and believe that while this book is not for everyone, but if you like the Techno/military/political thriller I think you will enjoy the tale that Rosone weaves.

The only thing I disliked was some grammar mistakes (homonyms etc). It wasn't really anything really illegible but it just caused me to shrug is all. There were some obvious errors that stood out to the accomplished reader.

As with all my literary ramblings, this is just my five cents worth.

Loved the 2nd book just like the 1st!

This book was as amazing as the 1st book. I gave it 5 stars because considering how I've always had a fascination with military history and technology it really kept me hooked. It was addicting. I wouldn't recommend this series to people who don't know a lot about the military or the future of warfare, because it might confuse you if you don't know what an IFV or an EMP is. If you, like me, enjoy and know information about war, military technology, and geo politics then I guarantee you'll love this series. Only thing I disliked was some grammar mistakes. It wasn't really anything really illegible but it just caused me to shrug is all. Otherwise going to read the 3rd book now.

A JR. Military Action Thriller (WW. III. - 2)/Chins/The IR./Russia vs The USA.

JR. has. penned the second novel in the World War III series, which contains a building of a relationship between China, Islamic Republic and Russia. China is building a massive Army and Navy, Russia has built a large Army and Submarine force, and the Islamic Republic has taken control of the Middle East and North Africa. The three combine to make a force to defeat the USA. The USA is not aware of their partnership until it is almost to late. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

A very fast paced plot, lots of charactors, but easy to follow. I wonder which of the furturisic weapons and body armor may become used first? I do have 2 peeves about this both is book and the previous book, 1) Cypress is a tree, not an island in the Mediterranean Sea, the island is Cyprus. 2) Both books seem to indicate Russia has reverted back to Communism, since Russians are referred to as Reds. But I don't recall that coming out in either storyline. Starting the third book in this series tonight. I hope there's a conclusion to this trilogy or is it a quadlogy??

The war rages on. The fight for the middle east has now stretched to encompass much of the globe. The Russians and Chinese joined with the Islamic Republic to take advantage of a stretched out American and Allied military. Book 2 now concludes with the initial invasion of the American continent through Alaska. As much as the Allies' successes help stem the tide on the Israeli front, the battles in eastern Europe and now the Pacific Northwest are increasing as the Allies vie for time.

The Journey continues... But the obscales increase in size and threat

The second book in this series continues to rachet up the stakes for the free world against what was once called "The Evil Empire".Things look tough for the "free world"... Numeric numbers are stacked against the but training and tenasity as well as developing technology help hold back the "The Evil Empire ". As moer countries join the alliance things begin to stablize... This a real Cliff Hanger. You see various characters begin to develop... Your want to see how the world fares but you become connected to these characters... If you read the first book your going to definitely want to read the third after reading this book...

Greed from author's

Although I enjoyed this as much as the other books,I do not like the way pages are re-used by filling the story out by reprinting, parts of the story again this occurred three times in his book. E books are expensive as it is without charging twice for , reprinted text. Although I have enjoyed this series immensely I will not buy another.

Well Done!

The authors have a very accurate sense of the politics behind the world powers. Although the series takes place 20 years in the future, readers are made acutely aware of how the treasonous regimes of the early 20th century set the world stage for the disastrous wars in the future.

This second novel of a four-book series is just as compulsively readable as the first. There are really, no characters, so relating to them is not possible. The scenario is pretty cool and is driven by events that could happen. There were errors that stood out to the accomplished reader. And, the US always takes a bloody nose first, then comes back for the win.

Ok to read. Not great

Repetitive and predictable. If you had read previous book you can establish the end of this book. I can without even opening third book can say the end . Book written by American perspective and it seems they are the only heros of this world

Another good read

Another good continuation of the series, well worth the read and worth paying for, will America and Europe succeed or will the red horde succeed in invading America? I'm immediately buying the 3rd book lol

Starting to get monotonous.

There is a lof.if repeat narrative. Getting to be the same oh same-oh. Need a break. Hope the next book is a little different.

This book continues the series quite nicely. I would advise getting some sleep before starting. I hope the next is as good.

Excellent story to the point that it makes one believe this could actually happen..... Detailed, suspenseful, action and drama. Enough realism that it's scary. Well written with fantastic narrative of the fiction events unfolding. There's no doubt that I have become a fan of this author. Thank you for sharing your story telling skills in the writing of this series and look forward to many more in the future.

I would highly recommend not only this book but the entire series.

Makes you think of what we may leave our children

Goes over a great deal of area's, but gives us a good idea what could happen if we stopped spending even less money on our defence and R&D. (US - The West, The UK in particular)
