This is the first book in the Club Wicked Cove series. Desperation is a story about Colt Fargo, the owner of Club Wicked Cove, and Ceejay Powell, a woman driven by her past to join the lifestyle in an effort to find absolution for her guilt.
Colt happens upon Lady Silver involved in a scene that contravenes the ethics of his club and sets out to find what motivates her to demand such a scene each every time, subsequently giving her an ultimatum that she must accept if she wants to remain a member of the club.
The instantaneous attraction between them sends Colt on a mission to break through the wall to assuage the pain in Ceejay’s heart. In his quest, she finds the key to his guarded past and soon they are both fighting off the siege of emotions that threatens to overwhelm them.
By a quirk of fate, their dark association with the mob soon jeopardizes the solace that Colt Fargo has found in obscurity in the backwater town of Jacksonville, Texas in his quest to escape the life he once led as a reluctant member of a powerful American crime family whose long tentacles are now within striking distance of reeling him back in and squeezing the life out of Ceejay Powell.
This story ends in a cliffhanger…to continue in book 1, Part 2, Desperation: Colt’s Acquittal.

Another great series
While there were a great many grammatical errors, which cause me not to give 5 stars, the series looks to be another great one by Linzi. Looking forward to the next installment.

I won this book in a Facebook giveaway, and I was thrilled. I'd never read a book by Linzi Basset before--now I'm ready to devour her whole library!
Ceejay frequents Club Wicked Cove, looking only for the pain that allows her to mourn her husband and son, who were ruthlessly murdered. Master Dom Colt takes exception to her self-imposed torment, deciding that if 'Lady Silver' wants to continue to be a member of his BDSM club, she'll do it as his submissive. Both of these broken souls harbor secrets that could destroy them, and outside forces are determined to do the same.
This book is everything I love about great erotic romance--well-written, believable characters, a fast-paced storyline, and HOT sex scenes. The twist at the end, I didn't see coming, and it sent me scrambling to get the next book. Don't miss Desperation: Ceeejay's Absolution (and you might as well order the next one, too, trust me on this). 5 STARS!

Club Wicked Cove-- Must Read!!
Linzi Basset's Club Wicked Cove is unbelievablely mesmerizing. I have read her different series out of order and her writing style in the second series is fast-paced, meltingly passionate and erotic. Mix in some mystery and Mafia elements and wow!!! Must Read!! Can't wait to read the next installment.

A lesson in love, lust and pain( mafioso)
One will say this roughly erotic book is quite raunchy. It has a storyline to tell, one of naughty behavior, explicit details with the characters and more drama one can image. Colt story broke my heart in how he turned into mafia. Wow!! I cannot get enough of those stories.

Wonderful BDSM book
This story ends on a huge cliffhanger, right up until that point there is a lot of action and a lot of steamy story before you get to that cliffhanger. I really enjoyed the story and I thought the main characters were very good and I liked them both. I am sure that you will enjoy this story just like I did.

Desperation :Ceejays Absolution
What an amazing read this book was. I loved the characters in this story. It was a hot read, and left you wondering what was going to happen to Ceejay, since she was the target throughout the book.
Ceejay was left for dead but thankfully Nolan found her and now her dom is out for justice or revenge. Who knows right now. You have to read book 2.

Colt and Ceejay
The start to this series is an emotional rollercoaster for two people who just want to live the lives they created for themselves. All of the outside interferences prevent this from happening.
In the end, a new chapter in their lives is set up for readers to be pulled into the world of crime, mafia, and Club Wicked.

I love Linzi Basset's books but I've never willingly read a series that ended with a cliffhanger until you get to the last book. So I willingly started this series but I was wary. I shouldn't have been though because I loved this series just as much as Club Alpha Cove. In this one Ceejay "Lady Silver" is in a horrible scene that she orchestrated when Colt "Master Dom" walks in and stops it. The book and series are so well written that you will get worked up with emotions. There's sadness, passion, love, understanding, cruelty, aggravation, and fear. The mafia is a constant in this series and just as Ceejay found her absolution they sweep in and ruin her happiness again!
