The Norseton Wolfpack’s newest guard recruit, Arnold, never ignores premonitions from his goddess, but her latest missive could have him turning werewolf culture on its ear.
His rescue of runaway new mother Leonora quickly escalates to untamed infatuation after Arnold accidentally gives Leo a mating bite. Unfortunately, being married already—sort of—Leo doesn’t want another mate. Her old one was the reason she’d grabbed her baby and left Wyoming with little more than the clothes on her back.
Although Arnold promises Leo that she can have the independence she wants in Norseton, she’s not convinced real freedom is possible. Try as she might to ignore the allure of her goddess-sent rescuer, he holds her in thrall as only a true mate could. Her ex’s reckless stunt to force Leo back to Wyoming leaves Leo with little choice but to trust not only her unwavering mate, but to put her faith in her stalwart new pack, too.
Disrupting the status quo is a dangerous prospect for wolves, but the Norseton pack can’t back down—not if they ever want to put their broken families back together. ___

I enjoyed the book, it surprisingly had the most details and "story" compared to the rest of the series. I am enjoying how everyone's story is different but they all fit well together.
This standalone conclusion to the Norseton Wolves series is one of my favorites. Holley Trent has a gift of getting inside her character's heads and succinctly communicating their emotions, fears, hopes and desires to the reader. I don't know of any other author who can lay a character open with such understanding and yet do it with humor and compassion. She is one of my top five authors, in part for that reason. I highly recommend this book and the series, which can standalone individually, as well as from it's companion Afotama Legacy series.
Arnold has only been in Norseton a few days when he has a vision that takes him to the Roosevelt Forest in Colorado. He has seen a she wolf and her baby and all he knows about them is that the goddess wants him there to meet them. When he arrives, he sees the woman shift into her wolf form, leaving the infant unprotected. Leonora was recently bitten by her mate and is forced to shift with the full moon, requiring her to leave Kinzey alone in the forest. She's on the run from a culture that denigrates women and an abusive relationship where she is seen as a possession rather than a person. She made her decision to run and having no support system is a consequence of that choice. But she has very strong protective instincts for her daughter and when she returns to her human form to find a strange alpha male wolf shifter cuddling an unusually calm Kinzey, she's enraged. He refuses to hand Kinzey over, though, and she soon finds they are headed to Arizona, to a pack he says is different. How can she believe him, when what he says goes against everything she's ever experienced? Especially when he bites her while they are in wolf form and neither of them remember anything from that run. He promised her she would have choices at Norseton. But the first thing he did was to take them away. Copy received in return for an honest review.
Arnold has just joined the Norseton wolf pack when he receives a vision from the goddess. Arnold never ignores a vision. Borrowing Colts truck he heads out to rescue a young she wolf and her infant daughter. Leonora "Leo" Banks, packed up her daughter and left her mate. She wants better for Kinzy. Traveling on foot with a infant is difficult in the best of circumstances. Being new to shifting and a slave to the moon, compounds the difficulty. Coming back from a forced run to find her baby in the arms of an unknown alpha male wolf, just put things on a terrifying level. Arnold offers Leo all she dreamed of in Norseton. He is not taking no for an answer. After an exhausting road trip the moon forces them both to shift, and their wolves decided they are mates., and takes matters into their own paws. Leo doesn't want a mate. She wants what Arnold promised, choices. Arnold's wolf claimed another wolfs mate. Something that could start a war. His new Alpha isn't worried and neither are is pack mates. He stays away to give Leo what she wants. When her former mate issues an amber alert for Kinzie. Arnold does all he can to protect his new family, including risking a pack war with his new Alpha's blessing. Loved Arnold and Leo's story. Loved Leo's mom and big brother. Great series.
andre always followed the visions he's given, he knows better then to ignore them. his last one takes him to the next state over, waiting for a young woman during her shift, who's leaving her new born babe alone while she runs as wolf during the full moon. his vision showed where they were and it told him in no uncertain terms he had to bring them with him to Norseton. tired from preventing his own shift, he has a lot to talk about and convince the woman to come with him. something about her calls to his wolf but getting her away and to a safe place is priority! they arrive just in time for the full moon run, when they wake up together the morning after there is a bit of mystery for them. apparently their wolves mated ... how are they going to explain that? technically she wasn't a single wolf ....
loved how andre handled everything, even how he messed up with giving her the time and space to settle in. even though he's a wolf and he can be bad ass, he's one of those that looks for the best outcome with least violence without shying away from it either. enjoyed this book a lot! can't wait for the next one to arrive in norseton.
Arnold a wolf shifter is gifted with premonition like his NA ancestors and he always listens to them, taking off without any warning to follow through on his sight. This time it takes him to the rescue of a young woman with her new born baby and wonders at the strangeness of this premonition... Only thing he can think of is that he was meant to take her back to Noreston. Things get real stange when he wakes up having bitten the she wolf and he can't remember doing it, or why. He never even gave a second thought to the fact that she may be his mate
Leonora is hightailing it from her polygamus husband with her new born, all she's ever seen is submission from the females in her pack and she can't take it anymore. Now here is this male telling her he is rescuing her, but he is doing the same thing all the other wolf males do....Telling her what to do and she won't have it!
Arnold is as wise as his ancestors and just now realizes what his purpose is, he just had to get to Noreston to realize it. Read how he reels Leo in without even realizing it and neither does she.
This is book 8 in the Norseton Wolves series and I somehow managed to read this book first which made me want to pick up a few of the others in the series. It was not that I felt like I was missing parts of the series, it was just that I enjoyed this story and wanted to read more from this series. This story is Arnold and Leonora's story and it was a really engrossing read. Once I started this story I could not put it down until I finished. I loved learning about Arnold's gift and how he finally found a pack that he wanted to belong to. I also loved how protective of Leonora he was right from the beginning of their relationship. This was another story with both parties going to extreme lengths to avoid admitting they were attracted to each other right from the start.
I love this series you do not want to put these books down ! Leonora has taken her baby and run from her ex she ends up having to shift as she is a newly turned wolf, Leo leaves Kinzy where she hopes the baby will be safe. When Leo gets back eight hours later Kinzy is in Arnold’s arms he has only been with the Norseton Wolf Pack for a little while but his visions sent him to the Roosevelt Forest in Colorado now they must get to New Mexico,so that he can shift and so Leo and Kinzy will be safe. What happens when he bites her that first night and she is still another’s mate? I was gifted a copy for an honest review barwatts@telus.net
Received this book from the author for an honest review.
Ms. Trent has done another great job writing about the Norseton wolves. Arnold and Leo's story comes about from the visions Arnold receives. Leo just wants to escape Samuel and keep her daughter safe.
The draws you in and holds your interest. I would love for the author to revisit these characters at a later date and update the readers on their lives and give a little more background on Leo's life in her old pack.
Another great Norsetron Wolves story. This is Arnold and Leo's (Leonora) story. Arnold has the gift of sight. He gets dreams and must follow them. This one leads him to Leo and her baby. How do you convince a scared woman with a baby to come with you? When and if she does how do you and your alpha convince her to stay? Will Arnold be able to protect her? I recommend this 5 star story. I was given this ARC in exchange for and honest review.
The goddess sent him on a mission to find a woman and her baby he just did not know how they were to be in his life. She ran away from her pack because she wanted better for herself and her baby she just didn't know that would lead her to him.
I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. This is book 8 of the Norseton Wolves series by the author. I loved the characters and their interaction with the others. The 2 main characters Leo and Arnold were such a cute couple.
This is a wonderfully emotional romance with a ton of heart, and laughter too. Arnold and Leo are great together, even though they have some things to work out.
