This had lots of good, practical advice.

I think I'm enjoying the plot, but these characters are SO one dimensional - I guess when the books are only 130 pages long, not much can be done.

So, without giving away too much of the story, I found this book a little difficult to keep going with, namely because many of the characters became annoying.
Julia, who was/is with George, simply going along with the fake "Chosen One", without even considering what he partner, George, is feeling about the place. She is just too all over the place and I am not really liking her character at this point. Added to this is Harold and his holier-than-thou attitude, which I know is how he is meant to be, but because it is something that I find annoying with people who are generally like that, it made it worse when combined with Julia's character.
Sarah, who has been all about the scroll and its secrets recently, having suddenly changed to someone who is more about kicking back and enjoying the luxuries of life on a cruise ship, has lost her grit. I liked her better as she worked towards solving the riddles of the scroll.
I am glad that Ariel moved off from the building she was "stalled" in and returned to find her brother, Trevor. However, once again, Ariel's adventure was ceased once again , which made me feel stuck with the story.
I would like to know where Josh is, as I feel his story may be a bit more exciting than that of these characters at the moment. I'll read Countdown: June , as I still want to find out the secrets of the scroll and see how it affects the characters... although, Julia will more than likely cry about it (I think that's her role).

Parker continues his post-apocalyptic dystopian future with teenagers starting to have magical powers, and who are hoping to fulfill a prophecy that would save their destroyed world. Parker drives this story almost exclusively through dialogue and has the fast-paced action that is ideal for a young-adult audience but that leaves almost anyone else full of questions. This is one of those series that while you might love as a teenager, you will dislike as an adult.
