Jane & Jade are chasing the Devil around the world. That's probably not the smartest thing to do and when the hunters become the hunted, the action really gets rocking, leading to a non-stop thrill ride of a road trip. Vampires and Shifters, Angels and Demons, throw in a giant troll and some witches and you've got a paranormal war. That doesn't leave much time for romance but there is a wedding, and a funeral, and both are ones you don't want to miss. Take a ride with Jane & Jade!

My Goal: To have fun writing fun books to read.

My Writing Style: Not much pretty prose or flowery fluffiness, pretty much non-stop action and fun.

My Dream: To be able to write full time.

Reading Order: The chronological order is Jade, Jane, & Jill followed by the Norma Jean’s School of Witchery series, Jewel and Ghost School. Jill bridges the gap between the Three J’Amigos and Norma Jean’s School of Witchery. The way I have written these books you can however, start with Jewel & Ghost School and then read the Three J’amigos series to get the back story on Jewel’s adoptive parents, Jade & Jane as well as her Godmother, Jill.

Urban Fantasy/YA featuring strong heroines, non-stop action, over-the-top humor and FUN ♥

Now I get it. Jane's POV book. Loved it. Again nearly manic in it's scene pacing. So much action, again. I almost have to take a break between books to slow it down and take a breath. It's that kind of book. Aaaaaaaaand again with the cliff hangers. Ugh.

Jane is my favourite character of the three, J's. All I can say is don't mess with her! Or you may just get the bat. This is one hell of a devilish ride!

Where Jade was a mystery, deliciously unfolding until the surprisingly creamy ending, Jane is a more straightforward buddy/road trip adventure with a few delightful twists and turns along the way. As a sequel, Jane picks up where Jade left off, and gives us chance to spend some more quality time with the three J'Amigos. This is a very fun adventure, filled with shifters, vampires, witches, faeries, Angels and Demons. Rose Montague's world is inhabited by all sorts of fabulous supernatural creatures, and it's a rocking good time for sure. The characters are diverse and creative and the story rockets along at a fast pace. As the tag line suggests, there is, indeed, a wedding and a funeral, and both are invitations I would not have wanted to miss.

I enjoy this world and these characters and I'll look forward to the last book in the trilogy, Jill. My only suggestion to Ms. Montague would be to spend a bit more time reminding us about characters and situations that were introduced in a previous book. I read a lot, and I've read many books between when I read Jade and reading Jane. And while the broad strokes of the story remain in my working memory, many of the details do not, and I could have used more of a refresher. I would also definitely recommend reading Jade before Jane, as I think it would be difficult to follow the action or understand the nuances coming to this world brand new and starting with the second book. That's not a hardship, of course, as Jade is a wonderful read.

So, check out Jade, if you haven't, and then read Jane. You'll enjoy your time with them and thank me for the recommendation.

I enjoyed it but liked Jade better. It felt like everything that I liked about the first book- the mystery, world building, and the character development was set aside for nonstop action, which is fine, but I was just hoping for a similar book as the first. Not to mention I liked Jade's character more. There wasn't much time to learn more about Jane with all the action going on, so she felt a little one dimensional.

Jane and Jade are off to Germany in hot pursuit of the devil, Clive. Meeting various friends and foes along the way the action is intense with our two J’Amigos. Jane needs to find a way to mask her vampire aura so she can remain hidden from their enemies. Even some of their new friends, the witches of Germany would never trust a vampire. Witches and Vampires just don’t mix well.
With Jade having so many different aspects and powers, I wondered how Jane would measure up. She is just a vampire, after all. But Jane isn’t just a vampire any longer. Due to the special qualities of her new lover’s blood, Jane is becoming – more. She can now walk in the daylight, even in direct sunlight. A trait almost unheard of in vampire circles. I think of a year’s long winter and finally experiencing the first warm spring day when I can open all the windows. This is the sort of euphoria I believe Jane experienced as she threw all her clothes off and basked in the warm sunshine for the first time in many years. Feeling the sun on all of her skin, which is something she later regrets as she suffers a severe sunburn in some sensitive areas.
They soon need to travel yet again, on the trail of the enemy. They go from Europe to the Western United States and meet up with some old friends along with finding new allies. The action continues throughout the entire adventure as the author sets the stage for the next novel. Brilliantly accomplished and highly recommended!

I really and truly love this book! Last week I listened to Jade, book one of three J'Amigos and it was fantastic. Where it left off, Jane began. Again I listen to the audiobook, and the narrator was brilliant! Not only did she capture the utterly different narration of Jane compared to Jade, but it also made me even pause in awe of Rose's talent for storytelling.
Trying not to go into spoiler territory, Jade was written in the mindset of a report, someone who wasn't quite understanding of the mortal existence. During the novel, Jane took hold of the notion of loving life and that shown through with the writing.
Jane was an action-packed book, from the opening scene to the closing. As fast pace as it was, Rose allowed those slower time for us readers to take a breath and absorb the expansion of her paranormal world.

As there is no audiobook for Jill out yet, I want to know how this series will conclude. Brillant second book, looking forward to reading the third.

I loved this book so much! I already bought book 3 Jill. SO this book is still about the 3 J'Amigos. Jane, Jade and Jill. This time they are on the hunt for the Devil himself. Clive is actually the devil in disguise, and Jane and Jade are gonna catch him. There are so many quotes I love. I laughed so hard at the "I brought another friend to sign your yearbook!". I so excited to see what happens in Jill. I so invested in these characters. I really love Jade and Jane together. AWWWW Also nice to see Jewel make her appearance. And how freaking awesome is JOE! I loved him in the Casino. lol "This might not be the game for me." I don't know why it took me soo long to read this series. It's fantastic!!!

Jade and Jane are literally chasing the Devil. They are trying to send him back where he belongs permanently before he causes any more destruction. Along the way they get help from a coven of witches. Jane has also acquired a few new tricks since she has been feeding solely on Jade's blood, the sunshine doesn't affect her like it should a vampire and she is starting to crave steak, wine and chocolate.
A vampire wedding for the two becomes the perfect way to start a visit to Vegas on Jane's mother's tab. Unfortunately the honeymoon must wait as the Devil has plans to end them.

Who will win, it is a fight to the death.

Another great read by Rose Montague! I loved reading Jade and was excited to jump into Jane, so when I finally did, I devoured every page! Just like in Jade, Montague delivers a fascinating and exhilarating story, which made it difficult to put down the book. I was flipping through the pages, anxious to find out what was happening to the two love birds. Great plot, exciting story, and brilliant characters!

Here's the deal.

If you are expecting character development, worldbuilding, and a plot: look elsewhere. None of that to be found here. Jane starts immediately after both Jade and Jane step through the portal at the end of Jade, and the story is written like the author was hitting the keys of the keyboard with a minigun that hurls about 3000 rounds a minute into the poor device. It's one action scene after another, there's barely a pause (and when there is one, it involves lots of coffee, steaks and wine). Basically, it's too silly for words.

And maybe that's what the author intended. As stated in her bio: she wanted to write a fun story that is fun to read. To hell with writing conventions. I appreciate that, hence the four star score.

There are a couple of funny typo's, wich I can't restrain myself from mentioning. When they escape from the dance club with Anne Le, how exactly is the shifter supposed to "smell ordinance" in the tunnel? And how exactly would Rose Red wait on Jane, if Jane is in another city? And did Jane expect anything else escorting them in German airspace than NATO jets?

Ok. I'll stop now and wait for Jill's story.

Jane is the sequel to Jade, but this time we see the continuing tale through the eyes of London Jane, a vampire to whom Jade struck a relationship with in the first book. This second novel sees Jane and Jade jetting across the world trying to kill the Devil, and in a lot of ways, this is a cleaner, more adrenaline-packed outing than the first book.

The two vampires' bond is more than emotion or physical attraction; they are linked to each other in ways that help them in their quest and serve the plot. This story is simultaneously self-contained and has an effect on the world at large, and while I found myself occasionally wondering about characters I met in Jade, Jane is such a fun ride that those quibbles are minor.

The editing issues that plagued Jade are largely absent from Jane, though there is the occasional plot point that seems to come out of nowhere (one major one in particular is the only thing that keeps me from giving this book five stars).

Still, this is another fun read from Rose Mantague, one that has me eager for the third installment, Jill (and you all know how I feel about badasses named Jill).

Fast paced fun!
Non-stop action once again in the continuing tales of the three J'amigos. Jane and Jade showed their true power as they battled a nearly unkillable foe. The mix of supernatural creatures involved added flavor to this tasty treat.
My only complaints are the sprinkling of editing issues and the repetitiveness. Besides that, I thoroughly enjoyed following Jane and Jade around the world as they made new friends and discovered how deep their love truly was. Can't wait for Jill, the third installment!

This book is full of Magic

Loved this book! It's full of magic and mayhem. Great read touches on all emotions. This book comes alive as you read it. Fantastic characters full of witches, shifters, fae and of course vamps, with a few added surprises thrown in for good measure! Journey with Jane and Jade and watch as their relationship grows before your eyes, and see how and if they can get out of some vicarious situations. This was a great book, can't wait for the next one

An outstanding work

The plot may seem a bit heavy what with starring roles gy God, Angels fallen and not fallen, lucifer himself and assorted roles but is pulled off with the well drawn characters can't help but wonder if the three amigos are a reflection of trinitRian western post enlightenment thought

A rip roarin' good time. The three J'Amigos are on the hunt for Lucifer himself. With the Angel of Death at their backs, they make a deadly team. I flew through this one, though I didn't want it to end. With just a touch of romance, this is a thrilling adventure story, that sucks you in, and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait to read Jill!

I really enjoyed Jade by Rose Montague, and as this was the sequel it simply had to be done. It was just as exciting and fun as the first, as we followed Jade and Jane in pursuit of the devil himself. The issue for me was that I didn't like Jane as a narrator. I didn't feel she cared about much of anything, so when she was telling us what was happening, it felt as though she was distant and not involved. It is for that reason that I couldn't understand why she was doing things, it was as though she was going through the motions, there was none of the intensity of emotion that there was in Jade. This perhaps comes from being a vampire, once you've been alive for a certain number of years maybe you're able to emotionally distance yourself from even events that are closest to you, and remain objective in even the most difficult circumstances. But her objectivity and lack of passion made it difficult for me to be on her team the way I was with Jade. Let's be clear, this is my only criticism, and perhaps that's why I felt the need to focus on it, because it's dropped a star for me because of it. However, in the most part it was funny, exciting and I read it over a few days. Of course I will be buying Jill to find out how the series ends, and will let you know what I think.
